Ordered a cappuccino and it was excellent compared to three other coffee shops we visited while in the area. I can't remember what pastry we ordered but it was also good. Minus a star because the pastry section did not display any prices and from what I recall it was expensive! I should have asked prior to purchasing but I hate the whole exchange of having to ask how much items are (and being surprised at checkout) especially when there is a line behind me. Next time I will just skip the pastries but definitely recommend the coffee. read more

Drip coffee and service were 5/5. Price for coffee was reasonable for the area. The "egg bite" which is a mini quiche was very disappointing and horribly overpriced at $6 for a tiny, dry thing that gets microwaved if you want it heated up. 1/5 Banana nut muffin was decent and I would consider getting again if I'm hungry next time I stop for coffee, but nothing to write home about. The availability of outdoor seating is always nice even if it's facing a parking lot and a busy road. read more

Clyde's is the cutest coffee shop. We stopped here before driving back home, I got the hot cocoa. It was creamy, the whipped cream was so delicious. This has to be the best hot cocoa I have ever had. My husband got the vanilla late with an extra shot, it was perfect not too strong. The pastries all looked so good that we got almost one of each.... When we got home I had to cut a small piece of each one to try. My favorite was the chocolate croissant. They have a nice gift shop, I will ship it more next time we're in the area. The only reason I gave them 3 stars is that we got charged for 2 extra pastries that we didn't get, it was part our fault since we changed our order twice read more

The scone was fresh and tasty, while the coffee was good and strong. I'll come back with I have more time to hang out inside or on the nice outdoor deck. STAFF / OWNERS - so kind and friendly. nice family run shop. they work so well together. and clyde is such a nice person. PASTRIES - excellent. truly excellent. kudos to whoever the pastry chef is. every single one we tried were clearly almost straight out of the oven, great ingredients and knowledgeably made. the scones were like real scones. the carrot cake and apple tart were amazing. and homemade whipped cream to boot. Clyde's coffee was amazing. I went here when I was in Lake Tahoe and they have the most incredible chai tea latte, I still think about it to this day. It was so decadent, strong, with wonderful hints of the chai coming through. The prices were also reasonable for what they were and the service was quick. The inside reminds me of a warm and cozy cabin with the snow outside. Overall, would recommend! read more

Go here. Just trust me and go. Clyde's is a quaint gem in an otherwise average looking strip mall. The line out the door will be your first cue that this is not your average coffee shop. Incredibly friendly staff, superb fresh breakfast eats, and an insanely good mocha! With reasonable prices too! Wish we were here longer because we'd go back and try more from their menu. read more

This is an amazing place to get your morning started. I make Clyde's a priority every time come to Lake Tahoe. The employees are all very friendly and the coffee is amazing. I only drink my coffee black so I can't really speak to their special drinks. But the flavor of the coffee is heavenly. They offer several different roasts. I have all of them l, but my favorite are the medium roasts. They also offer a good selection of baked goods. The cinnamon twist is so good. It is definitely worth the calories. read more

Even if they just do regular coffee I'd still come here every day, for their rustic cozy soothing vibes. Not to mention that these are real coffee people. They actually roast their own coffee and ship them to you. We discovered this place last year when we came here. Now it's our go to coffee spot every time when we come back. The huge bonus is, they also have a spacious outdoor patio with big picnic tables and umbrellas. Our dog babies can comfortably settle here. The blueberry scone is my favorite thing here. I also got a chocolate one this time. Also really good! I ordered Green Tea Matcha this time, with almond milk. Usually I would do no sugar but she says it's already pre sweetened turned out it's just mildly sweet, actually tastes delicious. So I wouldn't mind. If you are super sensitive to sugar just be aware of it. People are so warm and friendly here. Great service. Will of course go back soon. read more

Best coffee in town! They have so many drips to choose from and beans to go. I love how they give you options and the family home friendly environment. I like their tahoe morning medium light blend. It taste mild notes and less acidic which I like. I would recommend checking them out for a nice cup in the morning and a pound to go. When I say "I need some Cowboy Coffee!" this favorite roasters makes it like I mean it. By far, this is my go to coffee roasters when visiting the Lake Tahoe/State Line area. They have a good variety of coffee single and combination blends. My favorite is the Cowboy Blend - with a trio blend of coffee origins: Brazil, Mexican and Sumatra. I've also tried their Tahoe Fireside when they ran out of the Cowboy Blend (a little sour on my palate but not devastatingly so). As with other Yelpers, their pastries are really good! I've had the scones each time, and recently got the blueberry with lemon glaze. Was not disappointed. Friendly service (sometimes held up by locals wanting to have a gab fest with the employees while the line snakes out the door). Not a big deal, but just be forewarned if you're in a rush to get a quick coffee and pastry to grab and go. read more

I am glad I listen to the previous reviews on Clydes coffee. Their coffee is delicious. We got a lavender latte and Americano and really enjoyed it. We also got a blueberry scone, jalapeno bagel and strawberry tart. All were delicious. My favorite was the strawberry tart. I would highly recommend thier pasties and coffee. Service was great. The coffee shop was adorable inside. We hung out outside since we had a pup. But outside was just as pleasant. The views of the trees were perfect to look at with our coffee and pastries. read more

CUTEST SHOP!!! I LOVE matcha -- especially sweet ones. I can see why people are so torn over this matcha latte. I got mine with coconut milk and it definitely smelled like ice cream and tasted very decadent. It was very sweet and doesn't really taste like matcha to me, more like melted ice cream. It's rare enough for a business to have both excellent offerings AND excellent service that when that does happen, it's a nice feeling. Clyde's is such a place. Each day there's a fresh - and delicious - pastry selection. Little semi-healthy and maxi-delicious meal bars are in a jar by the register if you're counting calories or some such. But the COFFEE. They roast their own here. It's a tiny bit darker than I'd like but high quality and expertly roasted. I enjoy an 8 oz Americano; I've been there only three times so that's all I've had and it was delish. Their space is literally warm, which is nice in snowy environs. It's also sweetly outfitted - a fireplace; a few little tables; a clean little restroom. Dogs are allowed, thank goodness -- they even get a little treat of their own from the staff. WiFi signal is strong and the staff are delightful. Last note -- the merch is REALLY well curated and designed. Great place to buy a true and memorable souvenir after your lush coffee/pastry/service experience. read more

This cafe is very warm and cozy, a great place to chat over coffee with friends or to get a quick pick me up in the morning. They also have outdoor tables if you want to get some sun while enjoying your pastries and coffee. Their hot drinks come in 3 different sizes and there are also many different flavored syrup options. I tried their lavender latte and I love it. It's smooth and has a hint of floral flavor. They bake their pastries in the house so the ones I tried were still warm when I came here in the morning. You can always ask the staff to warm up the pastries for you. I tried the cinnamon almond twist and the apple strudel. I personally like the cinnamon almond twist more over the other one because the apple strudel was a bit too sweet in my preference. I'm so glad I tried this place! I'm not disappointed at all. Such a cute cabinish coffee place right on the Stateline. Warm and cozy atmosphere inside. Their menu is small but if you want a custom drink they can make that happen. I ordered an iced lavender latte. I told her I didn't want it milky but wanted more coffee. She said if I didn't like it she would fix it to my satisfaction but it was in point cause it was good! Had the right amount of blended coffee, milk, with the hint of lavender aroma to it. They had fresh pastries. I got the jalapeño and bacon corn bread and ham and cheese danish. Fresh and delicious. The cornbread was airy and crisp and danish was flaky and buttery and good. Overall, one of the best coffees so far I've had in Tahoe. Definitely coming back here on our next visit. read more

I am on a hunt to find great chai latte, so when I saw others raving about this place, I had to check it out. If you're near South Lake Tahoe, you have to check this place out!!! The chai latte was creamy and had a perfect balance of spice and sweetness. It's not your typical chai that you get at any other place. My only regret is I got a size small instead of large!!! This place also has some pastries. I was eager to get a savory scone until I found out there wasn't any available for the day. But the Irish cream latte with almond milk lacks the nutty flavor I was looking for. Apple strudels was... meh The pastry has more like a caky texture than flaky, making it a little dry for me. Really enjoyed the atmosphere of Clyde's, including both their indoor and outdoor seating areas. They also sell merch and bagged coffee to purchase. Ordered a vanilla oat latte, a dark roast drip coffee, and a blueberry scone. The person working there was super friendly and kind to us, even stepped out from behind the cashier station to hand deliver my coffee when there was a little confusion between another customer. Both drinks were excellent and the blueberry scone was extremely delicious! Perfect combination of soft, crumbly inside to a crisp exterior with the sugar crystals.
