Michelle and her team are THE BEST. In the most supportive and non-judgmental manner, they help you tackle any mess (apparently no job is too large or too small for this power team!!). I hired Clutter and Hoarding Pros to sort through an enormous storage unit filled with years and years of "stuff", spanning decades and at least 3 moves. I needed to downsize to a smaller unit. Michelle and Anika showed up and made this process bearable (and dare I say almost enjoyable because the are truly awesome people!). If you need help taking control of your clutter then these are the folks--you will be so glad you did. In the end, I saved lots of money because (a) I was able to fit everything left into an even smaller unit than I planned, and (b) I no longer need to consider therapy for the inexplicable attachment to "stuff" that I haven't seen or touched in over 10 years. Thank you, Michelle--you are truly wonderful. read more

Michelle was great. I hired her to help me organize my move as I was downsizing from a house into an apartment. She sorted through all my things in the garage and throughout the house and helped me to get rid of unneeded clutter. She helped to pack up the entire house, helped to organize my move, went to the donation center for me, and coordinated a junk hall. My entire project took 2 days, 1st day of sorting, the second day for packing. She and her associate packed all the boxes and arranged so we knew exactly what was going into storage and what was going to my new place. I highly recommend you hire Michelle. She takes all the hassle out of moving. Well worth the money. read more

Updated to include an issue. After clean out had been completed, when our painter was going through, it was discovered that some things had been missed, including a lot of old things under the kitchen sink, which we were then expected to clean out ourselves. I contacted the owner but was told they had checked and had taken care of everything, so someone must have put things back (???). Did not happen, as the house was unoccupied and unlivable. Disappointed in the response and lack of follow up, especially after paying so much money for this service. read more

I called and spoke to Michelle and found that thes type of services were a little bit out of my need as I didn't have a lot of stuff. Michelle not only helped me to understand that but also spent time explaining to me some of the options and pitfalls I would have if I did it other ways (day laborers, dumpster rentals). She was so helpful (even after she knew I would not be retaining her services) that I HAD to write a review to let everyone know what a great person she is and therefore what a great business she must run. Thanks Michelle! read more

This is really a public thank you to Michelle and her team for the work they did in organizing, separating and helping us decide what to keep and what to toss, recycle or donate. We lost our parents and needed to quickly deal with their home and decades of collecting and clutter. It was an astounding amount of work and they handled every step well, communicated clearly and did it for exactly what was quoted. In addition, a substantial amount of money was found by Michael from her team who promptly and joyfully gave it to us. These are people of character and I would recommend them completely and without reservation. read more

Michelle is the type of person that is going to get to the bottom of what her clients need. "The Lifestyle Assistant" is an understatement, she herself is unbelievably organized, and this characteristic overlaps into her work. Whenever I refer my clients to her, I have no doubt they will be taken care of. read more

Beyond satisfied with the service Michelle and her whole crew did for me. Had a hard time figuring out how and where to start to clean up and organize my uncle's house. He's an older man who basically is a hoarder and through out the years accumulated tons and tons of stuff in his home that made me concerned for his health and well being. I knew I couldn't do this on my own, so I started looking for someones help that had experience in this field and would also be patient with my uncle while the whole process was gonna take place. Luckily I came across "Clutter and hoarding pros" and felt confident with hiring them after reading also all the positive reviews. Michelle was awesome since the beginning to the end. My uncle's house looks amazing now and I couldn't be more happy of how everything turned out. Definitely will recommend Michelle and her services. read more

Extremely satisfied with this company. Tessa did a fantastic job helping me to eliminate my clutter.

I have used Michelle for many years. She is Great! In addition, she is professional, non-judgemental and has a great sense of humor. She helped me close up my three office business. I had 10 years of stuff. She has also helped me pack up my kitchen in my home before I had the remodel people come in. Helped me decide what to discard and what to keep so the task of putting stuff back was a breeze. My home office is my "basement" it seems to get all the stuff I can't find a place for at the time. My home desk, computer, gift wrapping stuff, gifts, photos, decorations etc.I call Michelle and she comes out and helps me get motivated to tackle the job. It has been really full of stuff at times. It will probably always need Michelle! There is not a job too big for her, she gets her resources to work, calling in helpers if she needs it. Best of all she can dispose of items/things/junk for you. Last month she helped cleaned out a full bedroom where my adult child lived For over a year because of a transition they were going through. She bought plastic containers to sort the things, It was dusty, and a complete mess however when Michelle finished it was gorgeous. Oh, I almost forgot my walkin closet. It was also a mess, it took us a day but wow what a difference she made. It has two entrances and I can now use both. Got rid of stuff I didn't realize I even had taking up expensive real estate space. 2015 will be a continuation of uncluttering my home as I'm getting up in age and do not have the energy or motivation to tackle things on my own. Hire Michelle, she is the greatest and why try to do it yourself?! read more

Clutter and Hoarding Pros helped us clear out my father's home after his death. The team was amazing -- professional, personable, respectful and thorough. They emptied a cluttered house, garage and basement sooner than we had anticipated. We enjoyed working with the team members and with Michelle Quintana. They were a godsend! read more

I was looking for a company that could help me "clean out" my garage and the add on room behind our garage - not to mention all the "stuff" that ended up on the driveway in our backyard becuz there was no room to put it anywhere else. At first I was being connected to companies to clean our house - but that wasn't what I needed. Eventually Clutter and Hoarding Pros popped up on my computer. Clutter? Yes... Hoarding? Maybe... LOL. I called the phone number and Michelle answered the phone. After a 30 minute conversation I made the decision to hire 2 of her staff to help me sort out our mess. Michelle explained to me that everything will go quick and smooth as long as I was ready to make decisions. Paperwork completed - deposit paid - and thoughts were becoming very overwhelming - but I want to get this done! On the day of the big event her staff showed up early and made this overwhelming process actually fun and rewarding! Can't say enough about this company! read more

My mothers' health is declining so we soon will be moving her close to us here in Anaheim. The clutter in her house was out of control and she would argue with me each time I tried help. The piles of paperwork, tons of cleaning supplies, holiday crap was endless. Rooms full. Frustrated I found Michelle with Clutter and Hoarding Pros. She must have heard my frustration on the phone and in no time my blood pressure seemed to come back to normal. She was so professional and handled my mother with respect and kindness. She convinced Mom that in order to help she would need her permission. Mom just about cried and so did I. Her crew got to work and what an amazing transformation in such a short time. All I can say is many thanks to Michelle. She really became the mediator between us so that Mom and I didn't have any more arguments about the move. The bonus for me was all the piles of clutter were gone saving us money for the move. Again Thank you so much for a great experience with you and your company! read more

We had Clutter Pros come out and help us get rid of a lot of junk and organize stuff. Michelle came out to assess the situation and said it wasn't very bad and that it would probably only take a day to finish. I knew we weren't at the level of some of the hoarding they've seen but we just couldn't get it done on our own and knew we needed help. We settled on a date and the two young ladies came out right on time and got to work. I couldn't believe how fast they tore through the living room and it was emptied out and organized in no time. They moved on to the other rooms and the garage and by the end of the day we had thirty bags and boxes of stuff to donate and a giant pile of stuff to have hauled away to the dump. They were super nice and friendly and our dogs loved them. Michelle also gave us some contacts for the trash hauling and for housekeeping. The trash hauler was right on time and fast working. I haven't called the housekeeper yet but plan to do so since everything else was so great. read more

Clutter and Hoarding Pros are a great team of people. Michelle provided a quick and professional assessment and estimate. The crew doing the de-cluttering and cleaning were compassionate and respectful to the resident. A job well done in the time and at the price expected. A real value for the results. read more

I usually don't write a review because I just expect good service, but when I meet someone who goes out of their way to deliver exceptional service it warrants a comment. I have had the pleasure of meeting such a person in Michelle. The attention to detail, support, and uncanny way of knowing what services will suit your needs speaks volumes on how important quality and service is to Michelle. I highly recommend Lifestyle assist. It is very unique to work with someone who really cares about you and goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable ensuring that whatever service you may need she can make sure it is provided. read more

Clutter and Hoarding Pros are miracle workers! Michelle Quintana and her crew turned a stressful and overwhelming situation into a manageable one--and in only two days! With their sensitive and professional approach, they cleared my relative's 1100 square-foot house of years of junk and debris. Everything was carefully and efficiently sorted into appropriate piles and hauled away at the end of the day. Had I not witnessed the transformation with my own eyes, I wouldn't believe it. I travel over 75% of the time for my consulting business I work on average 65+ hours a week and that doesn't include the prep time for my business/ travel arrangements. I realized I needed a personal assistant after spending so much of my free time just catching up with everyday details like bill paying, picking up my dry cleaning, running grocery errands and making travel arrangements. Michelle came highly recommended so I gave her a "trial run". I handed Michelle a lot to deal with but she listened patiently and was very gracious in offering some great alternatives and implementing her ideas in order to immediately get me back on track. I'm more than happy to recommend Michelle to anyone needing a personal assistant and innovative organizing professional. read more

Today I had my appointment with Clutter and Hoarding Pros. Michael and Tessa are a great team to have when you need to declutter and have no clue where to begin. They are professional and there is no judgement. They keep you motivated to keep on going and helped with moving around some furniture. I thought my appointment was not going to fill up the truck but it did! The hauling is a separate fee but it is worth it as Michael will haul trash and donations away, so have your check book ready so that Michael can haul away all the mess and you will be left with a fresh start. I spoke to Michelle over the phone several times to discuss the services I needed. We spoke again when I had additional questions and she asked for pictures to give me an estimate if it would take one day or two. Michelle was great with her recommendations on whether to utilize one person or two people. Michelle accepts credit cards and checks. I highly recommend that you use Clutter and Hoarding Pros because they are professional and mostly importantly Amazing!!!!! read more

Amazing job! Very professional from begging to end. I highly recommend this company

Michelle and her team made this difficult and highly emotional job of cleaning out a family home handed from one generation to the next, occupied for 65 years, the last resident a Hoarder who had been helped, re-cluttered, helped, re-cluttered for 25+ years, manageable. The final scope was 220,000 lbs hauled off the property (inside and out) - all within 4 days. Inside crew (3) was kind, respectful, watchful for hidden treasures, and were sensitive to my emotions at all times. Outside crew (4-5 depending on day), who were as good as the inside crew. Yard, garage, stable area, front porch - they were told to throw it all away except a very few select items in the garage. They were smart enough to ignore my instructions to "throw it all away" and instead drew my attention to several boxes they thought should not be disposed of without my specific consent - turned out these boxes contained the family's fine china, crystal and other treasures! These people are not machines, they truly understood the situation I was coping with. I highly recommend Michelle and told everyone on the crew they should not hesitate to use me as a reference if needed. I hope to never need this type of help again, but if I do, I will not hesitate to pick up the phone and call Clutter and Hoarding Pros. read more

To try to put into words what Michelle has given back to me is beyond me at the moment. I consider the transformation of my room to a dentist giving a patient a new smile. I don't have to be embarrassed to let someone see inside or to leave my door open. She's given me more than a clean room, but rather a degree of self-esteem and respectability. Thank you, thank you, thank you. read more

My mother is a hoarder so I called Michelle to have her help us clear out her 3,600 square foot home which she is putting up for sale. I sent her pictures and a few days later within the week she came to see the home in person. She came out on New Years day which I was impressed by because no one works New Years day. She agreed to help my siblings and I because we had no clue where to start. The remediation was started on 01/11 and finished by 01/13. Michelle's crew were extremely respectful, friendly and professional through out the entire process. It is very apparent that she only hires quality employees to help with the remediation. Over the three days, my siblings and I worked with anywhere between two to five of her assistants. Although Michelle enlisted the help of her assistants, she stayed on site during all three days helping us also. We highly recommend Michelle! She is very good at what she does and has an understanding of hoarding and the psychology behind it. read more

Where do I begin. My experience with Michelle and her team was nothing short of phenomenal. My great aunt died here in California and I was nominated to attend to her affairs here and I am from out of state. When I entered the house for the first time it was cluttered and the yard front and back was completely overgrown. I knew I needed professional help. While surfing the web, I discovered Michelle's website and gave her a call. Unfortunately, she was not immediately available but I decided to wait until she could visit the property. It was definitely worth the wait. Her original estimate to clear the home, front and back yard, shed and garage was 3 days. 2 days later the entire job was complete. Her staff was thorough, courteous and hardworking and very respectful of personal items. No task was too big or small and they all had fantastic attitudes. Michael is also an asset to the team coordinating the hauling and clean out. He also had a great attitude and was a pleasure to work with. I feel privileged to have met Michelle at a time where I was at my wits end. She was so supportive and positive. I would give Clutter and Hoarding Pros 10 stars if Yelp would allow it. read more

Michelle Quitana from The Lifestyle Assistant has come to my rescue two times so far. I first used her after a big move. I needed to get my place in order, but was overwhelmed by the sheer number of boxes piled high in my living room. These were the leftovers, filled with items with seemingly no where to go. Michelle helped me tackle them all in a methodical, professional, and nonjudgmental manor. She swiftly found appropriate locations for the items to be saved and aided me in eliminating those items that no longer served me. As a bonus, Michelle even removed those unneeded items from my place and found them a new much appreciated home. The result was an apartment that was organized and livable. I was so thrilled with her assistance that I contacted her again to help me purge even more unnecessary items. How liberating! Next on the agenda? A financially draining remote storage facility! If you are in need of some minor decluttering assistance or even a seemingly insurmountable task, The Lifestyle Assistant can help. No job is too tough for Michelle! She's seen it all! read more

If Yelp had a six star rating,, I'd give it to Michelle and her crew. My late mother had accumulated enough "stuff" old and new in her home to stock a large thrift shop. It overwhelmed me to even think about disposing of it all. During the initial walk through, Michelle assured me it was "a piece of cake." I was encouraged by her upbeat presentation of their services. Her crew of four (Rasha, Heather, Michael and Alvaro) was wonderful. They were extremely professional and very congenial. They worked with maximum efficiency and seeming enjoyment., And they consulted with my nephew and me about what to let go and what to keep.. They made an experience I had dreaded into a relaxing, rather fun, daylong adventure. At the end of the day, my mother's place was completely clear and wonderful to behold! Truth be told, I enjoyed interacting with the crew so much, I hated to see them go. Hopefully, I won't need this service again, but if I ever do, Michelle will be the first one I call. read more
