She used a file to "shorten" my nails but I was left with the same length of nails and jagged edges. I requested for my my cuticles to be cleaned up and the nails to be buffed out. My cuticles were pushed back, but she did not cut the cuticles. While she pushed them back, she didn't truly actually remove any excess. Lastly, there was no buffing provided for my nails. Save yourself some money and go somewhere else. Sometimes the "luxury" looking salons are not all that great.

I would try to book the person I had last time for some kind of consistency -- and, even though I would specifically choose appointments based on the waxing specialist listed at the time, whenever I arrived, I was just told someone else would be doing my waxing. The last time I went it was a brand new person--in fact, she said it was her first week--and the experience was incredibly painful. It made me question what kind of training she had been given. Additionally, she did a different service than what I requested! At the end, she explained she had been "distracted" and gave me what the previous customer asked for. I recently went somewhere else, and the experience was entirely different and not hardly painful at all (and yet an equivalent cost). This location would benefit from better management and training.

I decided to try microdermabrasion before trying anything too invasive (Chemical Peels etc. I am only 25 so I didn't want to mess with my skin). I am new in the Columbus area and after a friend suggested Gahanna Skin Care, I decided to give it a try. I booked at appointment on a Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm. I couldn't find the place and ended up there at 6:40 pm. I called them to let them know that I was running late. When I got there, I was greeted by a lovely lady and an older gentleman. They were super nice. Don't expect one of those fancy spas! This place is small but the owners are very particular about cleanliness and hygiene. Also, the prices are very reasonable. My esthetician, Cheri greeted me and I apologized for the delay. She was super cool about it. :-) She cleansed my face and applied some liquid to wipe it clean (I guess a toner). She explained to me the entire process and asked me if I had any questions. I told her about my concerns - blackheads on my nose and chin and large pores on my cheeks. She offered to extract my blackheads and assured me that i will see fewer pores after the process. She also gave me some witch hazel before I could go to the store and buy some! She finished the session by applying some witch hazel and then some spf. Next day, my friends said my skin was clearer and looked more vibrant! I have always been very particular about using a sunscreen. I have been trying to take extra care since the first treatment (Cleansing/Toning/Moisturizing etc). It's been two weeks since my first session and I am going today for my second session. I am going to go for 6 sessions placed 2 weeks apart. Cheri suggested that I should do this every year. I am extremely happy with the results and with Cheri. She is extremely professional and excellent at what she does. The best part about her is she genuinely cares about her clients and she is super nice to them! If you are thinking of getting a microderm, I would suggest you try Cheri! :-)

It said I needed hydration, and the other areas were moderate, such as pores. She made a recommendation on a moisturizer, and I was so excited. Exactly what I wanted, and I would have never found it or just stuck to my same old routine. Clearly, that wasn't working. It was right in my price point, and I didn't feel like I was spending hundreds on a lotion for my face. She also made some other recommendations on my lip pencil I was looking for and mascara. She made another recommendation on a facial wash, but that was out of the price range I was willing to spend but absolutely wanted it. She noted it on my profile in case I come back for it. The store was organized and amazing and helpful staff everywhere. My only issue is that the isles are so tight that more than 2 people become crowded. I started seeing Kayla because she offers the Aprés Gel-X nail extensions. They're like acrylic nails, but gel. They last longer on me, look more natural, are more flexible, and much much quicker than building acrylics or gel nails. Also, they're much less damaging on my nails since they don't life the way acrylics do on me. So if those are issues you've had in the past, hit Kayla up! She's super sweet, and has a lot of colors, glitters, and stamps to pick from.
