She took our order, brought out our drinks at the bar, and served up the food. She's a rockstar! That said, since she was solo, finished plates and baskets just kind of piled up at one table. She let us know someone else was coming in at 7 p.m.--it was only 4 p.m. when we were there, so she was clearly in for a long shift. Food-wise, the mozzarella sticks hit the spot, cheeses and a nice breading in them and came with marinara. The wings? Fried hard (not breaded), with medium buffalo sauce. Where else can you eat midnight bagels to accompany your vodka soda? Where else can you get overly frustrated at the "get the circle onto the post" game outside? The answer is NOWHERE. Lux has a special vibe about it that is welcoming, inclusive, divey and strange all at the same time. The South Wedge location is perfect and there's usually ample street parking if you're DD-ing or planning to leave your car. I saw that you could get any burger made with either chicken or a veggie patty for no extra charge (yay!), so had the Late Riser with a veggie patty. Again, I'm pretty sure it was a Morning Star spicy black bean patty, but I like those, and it tasted great with eggs, guacamole, cheese, and chipotle mayo.
