They have 9 pickleball courts on the roof, which is awesome in theory. The catch: it gets pretty windy up there, so realistically only about 2 of the courts (indoors) get used regularly, which makes reservations tough to snag. Open play is a lot of fun though, so if you can get in, it's a great time. One honest gripe: It feels like they turn the AC to the lowest setting and it gets quite hot when you work out. Sometimes it feels even cooler outside than it is in the gym. You'd think this gym would be well air conditioned. Other than that, it's a clean, well-run gym. Recommend, especially if you're into pickleball!

We have been long-term Life Time members, and the condition of the outdoor pool at Flatirons this…read moresummer has been incredibly disappointing. The pool itself is consistently dirty--dead bugs, leaves, dirt, and even trash in the water. There is regularly a visible sheen of sunscreen and grime collected around the edge of the pool, which is absolutely disgusting. The pool deck isn't much better, with trash left around and even chewed-up gum on the ground. On top of that, the wasp problem is out of control. There are so many wasps around the pool that people are getting stung, and the apparent solution is to have pool deck employees walk around with cans of Raid spraying them. That is not an appropriate or reassuring solution for a family pool area where people are walking around barefoot and children are playing. At the beginning of the summer, I assumed we had just caught the pool on a bad day. After seeing the same conditions repeatedly all summer, it's clear this isn't a fluke--it seems to be the standard state of the pool area. For the membership prices Life Time charges, members should absolutely be able to expect a clean, sanitary, and properly maintained pool and deck. As long-term members, we expect significantly better and are genuinely disgusted and disappointed by the way this area is being maintained.

I have been loving the 11:30 class time because not a lot of people go, so I am usually in a 6-person group for sculpt! So far, the instructors I have taken have been stellar. The studio is also kept really cleaned, and they maintain it well. For instance, the water fountain filter needed to be changed, and they changed it within minutes of the filter color light changing. All in all, I am really pleased so far, and I look forward to working out here more!

The experience with the classes themselves has also been great. There is a diverse mix of class options and times, whether you want early morning, midday, or late after work. The instructors are all knowledgeable and friendly. Update: the teachers may be going on strike in Feb for better pay and better cleaning, both of which I support. Don't cross the picket line if it happens. The request is for deep cleans to happen quarterly and it's insane to me that isn't already happening. That does make me a little concerned. This is a national strike, not specific to Tennyson.

First, I love corepower yoga and the classes themselves, but customer service and troubleshooting…read moremembership issues at this specific location was very frustrating. I am a member of Gympass, which I pay $160/month for and this includes access to CorePower. I went to the studio and tried to check in for class but the app would not populate. I explained to the lady at the front that I was a Gympass member and if we could figure out how to check me in so I could attend class. She instead said she wasn't sure how to do that and we could take care of it after class. After class, she started making me a new membership and said she would either have to bill me or start my "free week". She ended up referring me to her manager who also said the same thing. The manager was even more unhelpful, kept calling gympass and class pass, and additionally accused me of showing up last minute to class when I had been there 15 minutes early, My frustration is that I already am paying for my access to be there, I explained to them I was a Gympass member BEFORE entering the class, and If I would have known I couldn't use it and would be billed I would Not have proceeded with the class. I shouldn't need to start a "free week". But instead I feel led on by false pretenses and lack of help.

There were only two students for the intro class, so it felt like we had our own personal trainer. Maggie was really attentive and helped guide us through our first session. She was really good with restructuring your posture when needed and gave reassurance that we were doing it correctly. We definitely worked up some sweat! I'm trying to find a style of training that would fit my goals and motivate me to push myself more than just wandering around the gym by myself. Orangetheory offers a free class for first-timers and my experience was absolutely worth the initial anxiety of walking into a completely new setting. The usual experience wouldn't normally not include the tour, explanation, and follow up that the free session does (unless you have questions of course), but my experience was 100% positive all around. I visited for a Tuesday 11:15am class and Hannah was the group's instructor. I showed up about 30 minutes early to walk through the class process, get a tour of the gym, and explanation of the various styles of classes offered. There are several lockers available to store your personal items, and showers and restrooms are available if you need them. The whole space is very clean and this location doesn't have the same subtle funk in the air that a lot of gyms tend to have lol. The gym is large, the light is very forgiving (especially for those of us that turn into tomatoes while working out), and there are multiple dans that help to keep you cool while you're moving. The class is attended was very upbeat and motivating. Hannah was such an awesome coach and gives off a very positive energy; it definitely seems like she loves what she does, and in my opinion is very good at it. The class this day was pretty small, about 12 people to their standard 25 or so, so we were able to kinda spread out on the equipment. I particularly enjoyed the guided workout and direction we received from the coach; I feel like this keeps you focused on the workout and allows you to put all your energy into it rather than what I mentioned before about aimless wandering and whatnot. The positive reinforcement while working out is also super motivating, and the extra guidance (if you need it) on proper form and technique is extremely helpful and delivered in such a kind, supportive way. The membership is admittedly expensive, but I think could be worth the price depending on your willingness to commit to a consistent schedule. There are single classes and package options available for purchase in addition to the annual/monthly memberships for those that might want to just visit a handful of times over the course of a month or more, so options are flexible. The concept of Orangetheory is very cool, and I think more of a bang than your normal classes at a gym might be, so it's definitely worth at least a try to figure out if you think a membership is right for you!

My fiancé and I were in the Denver-area visiting some friends -- and we decided to book a Sunday morning class at this OTF location with Rhea. Heads-up if you're coming from out of town -- you'll need to call the studio and give them a credit card to put on file AND plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before your class to fill out some paperwork. You have to do this at every new location you visit -- but it's only once, and then they'll have all of your info on file. Rhea was an amazing coach -- so engaged and encouraging! I liked how this studio was set up compared to our home studio in that the instructor's microphone can connect with one of two speakers based on where they are in the room. For example, if you're running on the treadmill, you can still have the music blasting while the coach explains the lift instructions to the floor crew, and vice versa. One thing I will say if you're visiting this particular studio (or any in the Denver area) is that the altitude is no joke. My typical "push pace" was a lot closer to my normal "base pace," simply because my body isn't used to running at that level. Even still - I had a great workout, and Rhea helped us stay in touch with what our bodies needed in each component. Thanks so much, OTF Thornton! We'd definitely return for a class the next time we're in town.

Customer service said I had to call the gym. So I called. Attendant said I had to come in to cancel--not happening as I live out of state. She said my other option was to SEND A LETTER. A quick google search told me that this franchise did start in Australia, like F45. They even had an Australian guy James (who was in some of the videos!) whispering in the trainers ears the first week. I feel like this video format makes more sense with F45 than Pilates. I appreciate the constant instruction that you may not get with a live trainer (depending on their personality and desire to talk through the whole class) but sometimes my head was down because of the exercise and I just couldn't figure out what the video trainer was saying. If the exercise was the same throughout that would be ok. But it would change instruction mid exercise. The verbal cues weren't always the best. With F45 there are no verbal cues. Just look at the screen, do the exercise for the full 45 seconds or whatever, and move to the next station. As the other reviewer said, their pricing was just not competitive when I visited. $60 for 7 classes intro offer was good but the gym just opened, there was hype and those classes needed to be scheduled with 2 weeks. I think some people may have gotten screwed because classes filled up so fast. Only 14 spots per class because that's all the room and reformer machines they had. Also, there was no unlimited option like other local studios offer. Only pass packs which had to be used within a certain time. And their pass packs were more expensive than other reformer studios nearby. I'm not sure how much flexibility that they have given that it is a chain.
