The selection for the combo of being a woman and left handed was really tough. The employees kept rushing around and generally not giving me insight I wanted or the service other customers were getting. The demo bay was extremely chaotic and the staff was not helpful. I get it they were busy but still could have taken some time to follow up after just shoving random clubs at me to try then acting surprised when I had comments about it or requested something else. An instructor teaching a child lesson in the bay next to mine assumed I didnt know how to play golf and kept coming over to watch my swing. I interacted with a few different employees because they kept briefly helping me and running off. Maybe it would be better on a different day but Im not sure if I'll be it back. Certainly not for clubs. Apparel section was good.

After 18 years of purchasing golf equipment, this was easily one of the best experiences I've had. Connor truly cares about helping golfers enjoy the game more. Highly recommend!

I had just come from Ramsey Outdoors where I bought a reel...After, I went and got a haircut. My barber, who also fishes said she just went to that new fishing store on 17. She said it was ok...so I go after my cut. I like Ramsey Outdoors, the selection and service are top notch and customer-centric. As I go in and I see people being greeted I was expecting the same. I DID NOT...I start looking around while everyone seems to be chatting behind counters and in the middle. No one says hi or welcome in or if I need help. I continue looking from one side of the store to the other and spend 10 minutes in there seeing people being helped and people behind the counter chatting it up. I saw some things I liked but nothing was priced. I get back toward the front and think what a shame customer service is crap here. I will never go back again and will make sure I let others know. To the owners of this place...People have choices and customer service goes a long way when trying to attract new ones. Apparently the place just opened as well. How hard is it to say hi, welcome in, do you need help? Guess it doesn't matter for me as I am never coming back or recommending this place when Ramsey Outdoors is just down the road.

There is one guy particularly that treats the hitting bays as if there the Oval Office at the white house. I mean come on if you work at a golf store you'd have to expect people to hit a golf club before dishing out $500-$1500. On two different occasions this guy told me "one more ball and you gotta go, these bays are for fitting only" please keep in mind there were around 5 bays open that no one was using and I was about to purchase the iron set I was trying out. I went to another store and purchased the iron set. Aside from there very strict use of the bays I like the Galaxy. Always purchase golf balls there and there clothing is priced much better then the other large store in Paramus.

I explained why I was there and he directed me towards the back of the store. Within 20 seconds someone else approached me and said they could help. The gentleman suggested I get a swing evaluation, the cost of which would be deducted from the sale price of new irons should I decided to purchase a set. I set up an appointment with Erin for later in the day. Later that day Erin set up different clubs for me to hit over the course of about an hour in their simulator. After about 90 golf shots over more than an hour, we agreed that the Taylor Made Qi irons suited my swing the best. She was very thorough, trying difficult shafts and lies before we finalized our choice. I plan on going back to Erin to select a couple of hybrid clubs in the near future. All the people Golf Galaxy in Paramus were extremely helpful, especially compared to PGA Superstore, right across the street on Rte. 17 in Paramus. (I have a separate review of that experience...) This is the 2nd set of irons I've purchased from them. I recommend them highly!
