This place is a hole in the wall to the tenth power. Ok they buzz you in then you have to sign a ledger to get into this 1963 episode of the Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits' or more like Tales From the Hood. They may have added the air conditioners in the 70's, and they are on full blast while it's 50 degrees outside. Can I get my food so I can get the heck out of here ASAP??!! While I wait for my food I had to name three types of beer they didn't have before I said 'let me get up and look into the fridge to see what you DO have! Hour later and 10 more people over 80 enter NO FOOD. Umm... who offers fish at a fish fry without fries? This is s tacky place! They are not really into mixed cocktails, but if you want one, they will make it for you. They have a good jukebox that has plenty of credits available but that's probably because there is usually a DJ and they often have "pop up" karaoke!! Because this is a private club, the rules are different, you can smoke inside and many of the members bring their favorite cigars. I think I even saw hookahs there. Oh, and one more thing, they have a working kitchen that serves bar snacks like wings and fries, but they also have fried fish sandwiches and they are known for their lamb platters {they sell out every time}. Parking is usually not a problem, but I would suggest taking an Uber or Lyft.

This is an after hours club in a strip mall on Rustleton Avenue and only open from 10 pm - 3:30 am Thursday through Saturday. No cover before 12 but I've never walked in before 2 am half or fully loaded trying to continue my load. The crowd is what you would expect it to be, bloody eyed 20 somethings partaking in their drug of choice for the evening. The drinks are pricey but the dance floor is always lively. If you're a lush like me, or just trying to get one last stab at a one night stand you should definitely check this place out.

This place is more titty bar than club but it's nicer than I was expecting. Nothing special, but not as bad as you might expect. I'd say that it's maybe a step up from somewhere like Centerfolds Lounge in South Philly, though obviously a different clientele. There were two other patrons and only two dancers when I arrived around 8:30 but the dancers were friendly and chatty without being too pushy for tips and dances. They were expecting $2-3 after their rounds on stage though. Since there were only two of them each dancer did spend more than the usual amount of time on stage so I guess the tips weren't entirely unreasonable. After dances and tips they came around the outside of the bar and offered barside dances. I only stayed for one beer but all in all a decent outing without spending much cash.

I try to give places a fair, balanced look and The Trestle Inn definitely delivered in some areas…read more I stopped in before a show nearby and loved the modern, stylish vibe right away. The cocktail menu is creative without being pretentious. During happy hour, the bartender was knowledgeable, personable, and clearly confident in his craft. He made two excellent cocktails, well-balanced, thoughtfully prepared, and worth every dollar. Service was attentive and engaging, which set a great tone for the night. We came back after a show when there was live music and a $10 cover. I didn't mind the cover and actually expected the energy (and service) to match it. Unfortunately, the second bartender wasn't nearly as attentive. I stood at the bar while 2-3 guests around me were served without acknowledgment. It took away from what had been a strong first impression. We had one drink and decided to head out. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend The Trestle Inn for happy hour cocktails, that experience alone earns four stars Just hoping for more consistency behind the bar next time.

First let me address this: The Bike Stop is what you make of it. Go in, relax, be friendly to…read moreothers, and overall be a nice person, and everyone else is going to reflect that back to you. It started off with the bouncers. They asked for my ID! I haven't been asked for ID in well over 20 years, so I was quite pleased to be asked for it. I produced my ID, and bopped on in there with my date. The place wasn't packed for a Friday night. A few folks at the pool table, some folks wandering about, and lots of people at the bar. We wandered downstairs where the light was red, and the bar had fewer people at the bar. We took our seats, ordered some drinks, and paid. Nice, strong drinks, and the bartender was super friendly. When we asked for glasses of water, they literally had a stack of pre-poured water for anyone who wanted it, and handed it over no questions asked. Some places try to charge you for water. Not this place! That's awesome that they're encouraging safer drinking. We had a lovely time. A troupe of ladies came in and were chatting with the bartender, while this shirtless guy was making out with some other guy on the other side of the bar. After a while, I wanted to maybe dance a little bit, and see if I couldn't find seats at the bar, as well as explore the rest of the space. Also, there was some kind of smell going on in the basement that I couldn't quite put my finger on, but it was getting in the way of my good time, so my date and I wandered up. There were a couple of seats empty at the bar! Nice. We asked politely from the guy sitting next to it if those seats were taken, and he gave us a big smile, saying "Nobody's sitting there, but thank you for asking anyway!" What an absolute sweetheart. We ordered a couple more drinks, until my date overheard the guys who welcomed us to grab those chairs talking about some horror movie they'd all just seen and were obsessed with. My guy chimed right in, and the lot of them got into a spirited enjoyable discussion about horror, music, and the various implications of those in our various POC communities, and it was such a good time. I was curious about the other two floors, as we'd now experienced the basement area and the main floor. Apparently those other floors are only open for special events, and they have a total of 4 of them. Some day I'd like to come back when the whole place is open, and have a nice wander around the space. The crowd on the night we went was on the bear-y side, but we also saw that group of queer ladies in the basement, and people of all different races and body types in the space. It was lovely to see a place where diversity is celebrated, and we felt welcome even as out of towners coming for a short visit. The people were lovely, the drinks were strong, and the staff was friendly too. Literally on the way out, as we passed the folks outside having cigarettes, we got them waving goodbye to us and asking us to come back again soon.

The place is clean, inviting, and has a vibe that keeps you wanting to stay awhile. Not only do they offer happy hour drinks, but they also have happy hour food options. There's enough variety on the menu to make you want to come back for another visit. Service: The service is good. Staff are friendly and check on their guests frequently without being intrusive. What We Ordered: -(Drink) Soju -Korean Style Fried Chicken (my favorite on the menu) -Honey Butter Chips (It's good, but you do need to mix the butter and honey a bit, or at least wait until the honey cools slightly, otherwise it won't mix well, as we learned) -Bulgogi Beef Bao (Good) -Korean Style Ribs (A bit dry, but still tasty) Final Thoughts: I would absolutely go again. This is one of our favorite spots for a quick drink and bites. It's local to us and definitely a hidden gem.
