It's been 2 years old friend. I saw you on Saturday. You're not as packed as you used to be. Your taste in music has expanded, and I loved it even more. I feel your new clientele is a little more pretentious than I remember. But that's okay, we age. Those people move on when new things pop up. Thanks for starting my very long night off with a buzz. All the best, -Old Seattle friend.

Where else can you see a ball of lights drop on NYE in a small Philadelphia neighborhood while a hundred drunk people carry on in the street out front and flames shoot off the roof? Well done 700.

Find Brazil's at the west end of Chestnut, just before the highway. Ample street parking nearby but watch out for cobblestones which will shake loose any hardware on your car that had a doubt. It gets hot in here, so keep it layered. Nearby bar on the other side of the room keeps your spirits up. Water and paper towels station in the corner keeps you hydrated and not dripping sweat. Massive woofer boxes at the corners keep it thumping and energy high. You can't help but smile and enjoy! See you Wednesday!!

Problematically for a dance club, the floor (at least upstairs, where the dancing was on this night) isn't level at all, sloping somewhat toward the street. Also, the bouncer was a little aggressive. In terms of the dancing itself, the level was quite low and there was a 2:1 leader-to-follower ratio (but again, that might not be the norm). I didn't stay long.

I planned on grabbing something to go after the show. As I was perusing the menu I saw several dishes pass by and decided I couldn't wait any longer. In particular I noted the wings and chicken fingers, both of which looked amazing. I got a table next to the bar in their lovely beer garden. Has some TVs, a very friendly staff, and the food looked great. I was blown away by their chicken fingers. Obviously hand breaded, and served with Comeback sauce and your choice of ranch or blue cheese. I ate a few and saved the biggest one for a late night snack. Ended up eating it a couple days later and it was still delicious! I'll have to try the wings next time. Service was great, from hostess to servers, everyone had smiles. Food came out promptly and my drink was refilled without asking. Definitely a good start to the night. The Dungeon Crawl itself was the highlight of the evening! This is in the lounge/bar area of Silk City. It's an intimate setup with the stage in a corner with a dance floor and the bar area and a few tables at the other end. A DJ warms things up while the main act comes on at 8:00. It was Dogs in a Pile for my first visit and I was blown away by the sound and energy. 2 sets of amazing improv and jamming, with a dedicated crowd of music lovers. I can't wait to get to my next one!

One of my friends got the breakfast sandwich called "Trenton makes - the World Takes" and I love the nod to some NJ history. Good food, nice ambiance. This was my first time here but I would definitely come back again.

I came here with a guy friend last night to let off some steam, and we both had a blast! Yes, the drinks were rather stingy (but they were free, so whatever), but we don't need to be liquored up like so many of the people who obviously can't let loose without some liquid courage. Pros: Top 40/ Hip Hop, free cover (Saturdays), and open bar Cons: People on the dance floor sloshing drinks all over, stingy 'free' drinks We had an awesome time here last night, and maybe it's just because we know the crowd that tends to hang out here (go for a couple weeks, and you'll be able to pick them out too!), so we all just have a good time regardless. If you're not super uptight, you'll probably have a good time.

Btw she has a scratch and was so upset for the remainder of the night/morning after. The owner was NOT apologetic for his staff and just disregarded the event as 'stuff happens.' Then he proceeded to THREATEN us that 'if we filed a false report, we'd get arrested.' BTW, we have video evidence that it exactly went down the way my friend described it to be and that the club/bouncer/owner was TOTALLY in the wrong. Also another fellow student got her phone confiscated for no reason AND my bf was accused of having a fake ID (he's 30 btw). This club is literally the shittest place we've ever been to. I mean who the hell even writes reviews for clubs but I had to since everyone else should know how TERRIBLE they are. Would never come back and would not recommend it.

Grateful doesn't even begin to cover it. I had an amazing…read morefirst time experience at the Filmore. It's been a long time since I've been to a concert, and what I experienced at Tash Sultana's show was unlike anything I've ever witnessed before. Drums. Guitar. Saxophone. Flute. Bells and sooo much more. Vocals that soared from whispers to powerful crescendos. Every instrument seemed like an extension of Tash, and every note felt intentional. People often say music is healing, music is therapy, music is universal. Last night, I felt that. Not just heard it--felt it. The audience wasn't there just to watch a performance. We were there to witness artistry. To share a moment of connection through rhythm, sound, and frequency. For a few hours, strangers were a community united by music/frequency. The team at the Fillmore made the experience even better. From security and "Jay" at coat/merch check, "Meghan" Guest Services, "Bob" food & beverage service (Card Only). I enjoyed my "Vegan" Burger and the refreshing Wildberry beverage in a commemorative Filmore cup. Thank you for the recommendation, Blithe. "Steve" provided kind seating assistance upstairs. Everyone we encountered was welcoming and helpful. Those small acts of kindness matter and should be acknowledged and are very much appreciated. And to Tash--thank you. Thank you for sharing your gifts so generously. Thank you for creating a space where people could simply be present, breathe, feel, and reconnect with themselves. I've traveled through a lot in life, but last night reminded me why "live music matters". Some concerts entertain you. Some concerts remind you who you are. Somewhere along the way, my son and I became known as "the cake people." If you know, you know. If you haven't experienced Tash Sultana yet, do yourself a favor: Tune in. Thank you again Filmore for hosting this memorable experience.

GA shows are not easy to attend because chances are, you will run into a more rowdier crowd. Here is how I prepared myself the day of to ease some of my anxiety: - Go early to secure a good spot to stand at. - Drink lots of water before going. You don't want to lose your space by going to the restroom. Expect to stand for 4+ hours. - Eat a good meal, you don't want to faint. - Wear comfortable shoes. We left on a Friday night from New Jersey to Philly during rush hour in mad traffic. Got to the venue 20 minutes before the show started and I was so surprised to get a spot in the first row in front of the stage. I was like...no wayyyy!!! Acoustic here transmitted pitch perfectly. My videos do not do it justice. The sound was incredible. I think I danced every second of every moment. We really lucked out with some of the nicest people around us. While dancing at one point, a girl tapped me on the shoulder and said..."you're like the only one dancing and I think that's awesome that you're not afraid to do so". I replied, it's frickin Bob Moses, how can you not dance? Loved that I got to dance with a couple of the wild girls standing near me. Lol. Staff here are extremely friendly. One of the security guards below the stage was nice enough to ask if I wanted any water. There are a few bar areas for alcoholic drinks and small bites. Highly recommend this cool a$$ venue. It was standing room only for this show but seats were available for an extra $200 in the upper mezzanine, first come first serve. Restrooms: clean and plenty of stalls. Note: River Casino across the street offers free parking. We got to grab a bite to eat there afterwards.

Philly, we are not welcome here…read more Meet Henry, the manager at Fringe Bar. As a Northern Liberties resident, I've visited Fringe Bar several times and have generally enjoyed the experience before my recent experience with the manager. Unfortunately, my visit on June 13 around 4:30 PM completely changed my opinion of this establishment. My friend and I were seated and waited nearly 20 minutes before our food order was taken. Our server explained that their ordering system had gone down.... We were understanding and patient but to be honest it felt like she forgot. About 10 minutes later, we finally received our drinks, and our server shared that management had continued assigning her additional tables despite the issues, making it difficult for her to keep up. We sympathized with her and gave the staff plenty of grace. After waiting another 30 minutes, nearly an hour total since arriving, we still had not received our food. What made the situation even more frustrating was watching another table that arrived roughly 30 minutes after us receive their meals before we did. At that point, I approached Henry to ask about our order. I explained that we had been waiting for nearly an hour and that guests who arrived significantly later had already been served and they needed to hurry up with our food because we were hungry. Before I could even finish speaking, Henry interrupted me, stated that he would comp the food, and told us to leave. All I wanted was an explanation and asked that our order be prioritized after such a long wait. Instead of attempting to resolve the issue, Henry immediately escalated the situation and effectively removed us from the restaurant. The interaction felt dismissive, unprofessional, and completely lacking in customer service. Even another manager appeared surprised by how quickly our order was canceled and how the situation was handled. The entire experience left me feeling unwelcome and disrespected. Mistakes happen. Delays happen. What determines whether customers return is how management responds. Unfortunately, Henry's arrogance, poor communication, and inability to handle a reasonable customer concern ensured that I will never return. The attached photos include timestamps documenting our visit and the lengthy wait and a photo of Henry so you can avoid him. DO NOT COME.
