DO NOT GO HERE FOR FOOD! Came in and explained that our…read morefamily was very hungry. Ordered our food, repeatedly asked to bring out ANY food as it becomes ready. After the 3rd request at the 45 minute mark, server explains they have had many drive through orders and it takes 15 more minutes for the food to come out. We box it off and leave. Wish we would have been told up front that the kitchen was backed up. We would have went we elsewhere. To top it off, they added a gratuity to the bill for 6 people after waiting an hour for our food. They also added the gratuity as a taxable item, which is exempt from tax in Ohio, therefore what they did was illegal. Would NEVER go here again.

Worst experience ever in a food establishment. Been here several times since the changeover and…read morehave had a good experience with good food and service. Tonight was complete opposite. I got there around 730 and it took about ten minutes for the server/bartender to come over to us and I could see she was busy with what appeared to be cashing out a table. There were about six tables total and two people at the bar, which from what I saw only One table was served food the whole time we were there, the rest had already eaten or hadn't ordered food and were just doing the karaoke that was going on. After we ordered, it took about another ten minutes to get our pops. I almost walked up to the bar to ask her if I could get them from her there thinking she may have forgot, and it would help her. She said she was the only one serving and bartending so I was trying to be friendly and being very understanding. About a half hour went by still no appetizer, no food, nothing. We were trying to just have a good time and enjoy the karaoke, but Fifteen more minutes went by and she comes over and says they're about to start your food they had to wait for the chicken to thaw out. I said you didn't even start it yet, she said she's sorry no. I said what about our appetizer, she said let me see if they started it yet....a few minutes later, no. She says I just reminded them you were waiting For it. We sat there for an hour. I told her that's ok, we're leaving. Horrible experience. I work in food service and what I saw tonight can only be blamed on poor management. Service staff should have experience if you're going to leave them alone and hang them out to dry by not having adequate kitchen help. Also, if you have people waiting for food for an hour you shouldn't be outside smoking and socializing.

Kava Culture - Forgot to snap a photo of the ceremonial tea that was on the house before I even ordered. Such a welcoming experience!

What a fun place! I was looking for a coffee pick-me-up in what felt like the middle of nowhere and…read morefound this coffee shop on Yelp. I'm always up for a coffee shop adventure, so I drove over--and wow, was I in for a fun surprise! Kava Culture isn't your typical coffee shop--it's a whole new take on drinks and hangouts. I was greeted right away by the friendly barista (bartender?), and when I mentioned it was my first time, she immediately launched into sharing the vision behind Kava Culture. The menu features plant-based, health-conscious, alcohol-free drinks, teas, and coffees. She patiently explained the health benefits of each tea option, which I really appreciated. The first "bula" is on the house--a ceremonial tea drink served in a coconut bowl. It was surprisingly creamy with a little tingly after-effect that warmed my tongue. The barista even took the tea shot with me after a shared toast to good health and a cheerful "Bula!" Such a thoughtful way to welcome guests and make the experience feel personal. I ordered the cold brew coffee with added kava, which is said to help stabilize blood sugar and reduce stomach upset. All the creamer options are plant-based, so I went with macadamia nut milk, sweetened with a bit of maple syrup. The coffee itself was delicious--smooth, rich, and refreshing. But then came the sticker shock: my 16oz coffee rang up to $12 before tip. That's more than I've ever paid for a coffee in my life--and I've had some pretty epic brews in Vienna, Florence, Budapest, San Francisco, and NYC. I guess you're paying for both the premium ingredients and the one-of-a-kind experience. Despite the price, I'd definitely come back--if only to introduce my family and friends to the vibe and kava drinks. The shop is open 8am to midnight, and I love their vision of offering the community a sober alternative to the bar scene. There's a lot to love about Kava Culture, and I'm glad I found it.
