Club 19 Ruben Sandwich

It's a tastefully elevated place to visit for a beautiful beach view and some breakfast or lunch. The food is affordable and extremely high quality and the staff is very professional. Try to call ahead to get a table because it can busy up during the weekend. Will definitely be going again on a weekend to enjoy the environment.

The view. Amazing!!

We were waiting for our check-in at the hotel so decided to walk down to grab a quick bite. We were able to grab a table with an awesome view. We shared the Cobb Salad and it was delicious! Service was amazing as well. Overall, great experience! Highly recommended

Cobb Salad

Club 19 is always a safe lunch with a great view. We had actually planned to grab a bite nearer the beach but the line was too long so we walked up to the golf course since it was on our way back home. We were able to have a nice view seat. I ordered a Cobb salad and hubby ordered the chicken club with fries. Both were good and filling. On a hot day like today, the shaded ocean breeze overlooking the golf course out to the ocean was perfect. I'd say it's just a tad bit expensive for what you get but you're definitely paying for the view. Again, Club 19 is always a safe bet for a good, casual lunch with a view and since it's next door to us, I'll definitely be back again.

This has been our secret spot for some time now, due to the fabulous views, amazing food, great service, best bloody Marys ever, and shockingly reasonable prices. Well apparently the secret is out because their prices aren't so reasonable anymore! They are also more crowded than I have ever seen them, so apparently Monarch Bay Resort finally realized what a gem this place is and started promoting it. Having said that, it is still a great place for lunch/brunch/early dinner especially if you love to dine al fresco and have an amazing view on a sunny day! But you will spend some money here... I had the $25 burger, yeah I know, but you had your choice of sides and didn't have to just accept the fries. I eat a mostly ketogenic diet so I had the burger lettuce wrapped and a wedge salad on the side instead of fries. I was expecting a small version of the wedge but it was full sized! And all very delicious, with generous amounts of bacon both on the burger and the salad. The burger was a double patty with cheese. I had to ask for pickles because there weren't any on the burger, and even the pickles were crisp and crunchy and top notch. Bloody Marys still the best but $19 now! Maybe prices will go down again in the winter?

It has been almost 2 years since I have been to Club 19, but from what I can recollect, it was one of the greatest brunches I have ever had. The photos I have uploaded paint an accurate picture as to what you can expect from Club 19. The food is presented almost better than it tastes. I ordered the egg's benedict topped with crab cakes. The hollandaise sauce was just the right flavor. I loved how the crab cake tasted with the yolk of the egg. My meal also came with asparagus, a tomato topped with some cheese (succulent and juicy by the way), and some freshly made home fries (crisp on the outside, moist on the inside). I remember the meal didn't cost me more than $20 (as most of the other dishes as well) and boy was it delicious. Looking around at the table, I would have been just as pleased with anyone else's dish. Breakfast ranged from French toast, to a fancy version of an omelet. If you weren't quite looking for breakfast, they also have sandwiches and burgers at your disposal. The special of the day was a grilled salmon which the birthday girl happened to order and it looked fantastic. To top off the entire meal, the table shared a decadent creme brulee topped with a variety of berries. Not only is the food fantastic at this place, but the view is spectacular. The restaurant overlooks a vast golf field full of green grass and lakes dispersed all throughout. While our party was waiting for the food, we took a moment to soak in the nice view and snapped a few photos. I don't quite remember the service, but since I was so focused on the food and view, it must have been good as well. Come to think of it, I am really surprised this gem hasn't been reviewed so far. I would give it a 5 but until I visit again, it will have to settle for a 4 for now.

Pretzel Bites- GET THEM!!!!

I definitely wasn't expecting GRADE A FOOD at this lunch spot, however, it completely exceeded my expectations and now that I think about it, for a $50 lunch... It better do just that!! After 18 holes of golf, you can conveniently satisfy your HUNGER at this restaurant. It's called 19th Hole perhaps because your mouth could be considered "the 19th hole"... I kid. I kid. We sat down and immediately ordered our food, because we were about cross eyed from hunger at that point. When the server told me that the 1/2 roasted chicken would take about 20-30 minutes to cook, I was insanely bummed, but I was REALLY craving chicken so I decided to suck it up! He told us that he would put a "HURRY UP" not on the order, so we could go back out and hit some balls. Well, if I didn't order the chicken, our food literally would have come out in about 10 minutes (the table next to us ordered at the same time and got their food fast).... But really the wait wasn't terrible, the pretty setting made up for it! The chicken, when it arrived, spoke to me, saying "you're going to like this" and boy did I ever. It was paired with vegetables soaked in "au jus"... And it was just all paired perfectly. Very tasty and exactly what I wanted. My fiancé got the fish tacos, which he devoured and adored... As well as the pretzel bites, which were A HOLE IN ONE order! Ha Ha. He too was extremely impressed with the offerings and was glad we stopped at this little patio restaurant to chow down... Plus it was insanely convos isn't because once we were done, we charged the food to the room at the St Regis we were staying in and BAM, back on the golf course we went!

We came on a late Friday afternoon and it was pretty dead but we didn't mind. We sat outside and had a great view of the golf course. The waitress was helpful and friendly and prompt. I got the Salmon superfoods salad and my husband got the beet salad. Both were great!! Beet salad was smaller portion but my husband was still satisfied. Played great music in the background and had a great time.

Dessert YUM

We had a great lunch. Service was great. Bloody Mary was delicious. Christian was very helpful and attentive. The view was beautiful. You can sit both inside and outside. I had the special ... the steak quesadilla. It was very tasty and the portion was large. My friend had the coastal salad with chicken and it was refreshing and light but still filling. We tried the strawberry shortcake, chocolate cake and the almond ice cream. All were delicious. We will definitely be back.

I guess I wasn't braced for the price and mediocre fare. $80 for one breakfast burrito and some fish tacos. Yikes!

First, there's the sophisticated bar, which is smoke-free and the perfect spot for high-end spirits and amazing cocktails (The Gov'ner Old Fashioned is a must-try!). The staff are welcoming, friendly, and always smiling! They've started adding some events to the schedule, like Whistlepig/Cigar tastings, Cajun Boil, Macallan tastings, and wine tastings. They're also introducing a late-night happy hour with food and live music, which is a great way to enjoy a sophisticated drink when most restaurants have closed in the area. The second part of the lounge is the two cigar lounges: the day lounge and the VIP lounge, which has lockers. Both lounges have high-end luxury seating and lots of screens for all your favorite sports. The staff keeps the lounges clean with friendly service. At the back, there's a walk-in humidor that's well-stocked with a great selection, including Davidoff, Padron, Opus X, Fuentes, My Father, Foundation, and Placencia, just to name a few. The Winston House stick blended by Placencia is an incredible stick for an exceptional price! Both lounges have a bunch of friendly regulars, so it's always easy to find conversation, or you can just relax and enjoy the moment! This place is a hidden gem that I consider to be the best cigar lounge in SoCal!

Once I posted this review, this is the response I received via email. From Rick (CEO and Managing Partner) "NO that will not happen. No one promised you a refund to October. Their behavior is that of a company on the verge of closing.

Beautiful restaurant with great outdoor seating. My family and I sat outside and it was very peaceful and relaxing. The service was excellent, and Karina, our server, was awesome from start to finish. We ordered the Oysters Rockefeller, which were amazing, along with the Connecticut-style lobster roll and the lobster carbonara. Both were absolutely 5-star dishes. The lobster roll was cooked to perfection with the warm butter sauce, and the lobster carbonara had incredible flavor throughout. My kids got the cheeseburger and fries, and I have to say, for a kids meal the cheeseburger was surprisingly meaty and very tasty. The fries were perfectly crispy as well. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

I had heard through social media and reviews that this place has the best lobster roll in Orange…read moreCounty and once again I find all the hype to be inaccurate. The menu looks great, offering what looks to be delicious seafood. And I imagine that they offer great seafood. , just not in the form of a lobster roll. I was born and raised in New England and I know what a Maine style lobster roll is. What they offer here is nothing like a Maine style lobster roll and honestly, it tasted gross.. The iconic Maine lobster roll is made from simple ingredients, It is the perfect combination of mounds of lobster , mayonnaise, and lemon juice maybe a little salt.. served chilled in a toasted bun. Sometimes you get minced celery . What was served to me at Hook and Anchor was a lobster roll served in a brioche bun, and when I looked at it, it looked like it had hot cheese on top of it. But that wasn't cheese.. That was hot garlic mayonnaise, or aoili. I had to eat it with a knife of fork, and the overwhelming flavor is garlic. That's too bad because lobster has a delicate flavor and overpowering it with hot garlic, mayonnaise , it just was not very good It was bad. Again a lobster roll is served cold and that it was hot made it worse. If this is what you serve please don't say it's a Maine style lobster because it absolutely is not. However, we did split a clam chowder and that was delicious so my guess is that they have items on the menu that are good and I probably will go back to try their other entrees But please don't tell people that this is a Maine style lobster roll. And lastly, there is another classic style of lobster., I think that's considered New York, and that is warm a lobster with melted butter, drizzled all through it that I think does have minced celery . This style of lobster roll is decadent and delicious. And I don't understand how people who review lobster rolls on TikTok and Instagram somehow in Orange County don't know what a classic Maine lobster roll is

Fernando went above and beyond to make sure our experience was 5 star. The rest of the team was always around making sure we had all we needed as well. When the sun set and the breeze got cooler we were offered warm blankets. So back to what we went for, the food right. Tuna tartare was excellent. Guacamole was good but I didn't like the cracker things that came with it and used the chips that came with the tartare instead. Oysters and caesar salad were fresh. Surf & turf tacos were delicious. Crab cake was good, sauce has a little spice to it. The desserts were scrumptious, the churro's were a favorite out of the 4 we had. So fresh and crispy but perfect on the inside, with fresh made caramel and chocolate to dip. My birthday chocolate cake was so good. Our cocktails were well made. There is a Ritz Kids menu and our kids loved all the food they had (Mac n cheese, chicken strips, burger, fries) we liked their fries too lol. We had a short two days at this hotel but I'm so glad I got to experience 180blu.. ended up sneaking in at the last minute on our second night there (Fernando welcomed us as if it was mid shift and we did not feel rushed one bit) for a night cap and to just take in the ambiance and fresh air. And to find out they have live music next to the bar (that is a good thing so it is not too awfully loud if sitting nearer the area the band is in). My friend who just moved to laguna Niguel suggested we go there and I fell in love with the food and the people running the bar. super nice and friendly. to be honest with you I hate it that these places close their doors so early. If it was my place I would open up longer because the area needs places that stay open later than other ones. I am not sure when this close early came about but none of my friends like it and I really hate it. It is so Orange County.. so my friend and I only had 45 minutes to get out food eat what we could and leave. the band was ending when we got there probably about 9:15pm. Hardly a sole was there which was just perfect. We sat at the bar ordered our favorite martinis that were excellent (Kettle One only no vermouth) stuffed olives with blue cheese). Excellent and big....and we just thought we would get burgers because they are usually excellent in these kinds of places. We weren't allowed because of timing to order regular dinners. The burger was to die for. One of the best I have ever had and reasonable. We could not finish even our martinis let along the burgers. So, we took them home and walked outside to the lovely patio and took some pix of each other. A guy that worked there came out and he gladly took more pix of us. cannot say they were the best pix I have taken but fun. The prices are not cheap. The drinks are excellent and another time we went for dinner had salmon with pesto and baked spuds and vegies nicely prepared on our plates. But the best thing was the Lobster Bisque. It was absolutely the best I have ever had in my life. I am always searching for the best lobster bisque. Well, I could not wait to go back for that. It is expensive and I recommend splitting that bowl as it is quite large and it is not all that great at home if you take it with you. The music was okay and I cannot say we got into that because that is not why we went there. But it looked like several singles were there looking around the place and dancing. It was fun watching. I love this restaurant now. Just fantastic. If there is one thing that I would like to see improved that is that the music was too loud to have a conversation under. Could have easily turned in down especially in and nice restaurant like that is.
