Vast selection of rock, bark, sand, gravel, patio stone, stone veneers. Folks super friendly here and patient. I was impressed with the service aspects compared to the last place I visited in Fresno where no one person welcomed me. It's a bit chaotic here with all the traffic, tractors and trucks moving around. Super nice displays, row after row after row. I'll be spending some time carefully considering which products I'm going to use on the interior and the exterior of my large home. I like the Eldorado Stone and the Old Texas thin bricks. Slowly swinging my 1953 ranch style into the year 3000. I'm calling my house 'Moonbase Alpha' and have been launching project after project. It's a bit crazy with all the traffic, tractors and trucks moving around. They have a wide variety of patio stones, barks, gravel, sand and so much more. There were lots of stones set up on display to help get a better picture, help you envision and get design ideas. We ordered some rocks for our back yard and the pricing wasn't bad at all. They delivered in a timely manner as well. If I can say one bad thing, I would say it was the delivery part when the rocks arrived. The driver literally did a dump and ditch. We didn't even have time to move our vehicle so he could dump where we wanted. read more

Just dropped 1800 dollars with these guys on a thin brick order. One box of brick corners was missing. Some loose corners were thrown into the wrapped pallet apparently to compensate. Almost all were broken. Called to get a credit for the missing box and was told I should expect 5-7% breakage. No credit. I ordered 39 boxes and got 38 boxes plus a few broken pieces thrown in loose. Okay, I'll eat 50 bucks and you can eat one more bad review. read more

Think twice before buying your landscape needs, stones and supply from Clovis stone. Not worth the rude customer service when an issue is brought to their attention and doesn't take responsibility for the error on the business side. I read the reviews and was hesitant but decided to give it a chance. We Ordered close to $1,000 of stones to only have the wrong colored stones given. We chose a reddish brown color to match our landscape design, we were given a light gray with a very few specs on the stone. I respectively brought a stone back to Clovis stone to show them the difference in color. They stated if there is a change in color within the batch that they are not responsible for the change. Female manager was rude in front of other customers while I tried to explain what we chose is clearly not the same color. See below the difference in color from the stone we picked and the stones we received. In the end, the manager stated it isn't their fault. I highly support locally owned and small business, but this one is a lesson learn and will not do business with Clovis stone for our future landscaping need. Be aware they also charge for a pallet fee in which you have to return the pallet and only refunded a portion amount vs the full amount. $70 for the pallet fee for our two pallets of wall blocks. Yes, I really have stopped by there on a few occasions recently to buy rocks to paint. It's a hobby of mine and a friend in my rock group said she goes there to hand pick rocks. Every time I've stopped by, the staff has been very nice. When I chose some bigger rocks one visit, an employee loaded them on a pallet and after I paid, he loaded them in the car for me. They have tons of rocks for landscaping there...I will definitely be utilizing their services for our front yard landscaping project. read more

Stay Away. Sarah the Manager is the worst. Out right absolutely the single worst experience I have ever had at any place of business... Hope owners read this is do something about it... I go in to the store where wonderful gentleman w glasses helped me w showing me around how 2-4" of river rocks would look like in colors and size. Came home n ordered them over the phone to be delivered... Lady Sarah called and said the delivery will be between 8-12pm... I asked since we work can it be scheduled after 3pm... her reply nope take this or wait another week... so I took time off... day comes and no one shows up until 1130am and I get a call from her saying they are going to Load and deliver it to your home in 30 min... they end up coming at 1245pm... mind you we live 3.5 miles from the place... when they dump River Rocks in front of my house more then 40-50% of the rocks were 6-10"... which wouldn't look good with what we were trying to do... I called the office just inquire what happened and Sarah just went off saying well those are your rocks you paid for it and it's dumped so it's yrs... I tried very nicely explaining to her that even your truck driver thinks they are big and I measured with tap and it clearly shows they are much larger... her reply was sorry we get it from the place so if you have a problem you can take it w it's quarry... so I kinda got agitated and asked her I ordered from you and not them so why do I have to call them... she said sorry you paid in full so it's yours and hangs up. I call her right back and she goes nothing she can do if I want to email her pic I can but since I paid for it I own them and hangs up again... I try calling them 5 times after in 10 min and she sent my line to either fax or picked up and hung up right away... I finally drove to the place and asked for mAnager and she goes I am the manager and told some other kid that he give him his money back and go pick up those rocks... she was so so so rude and worst at customer service... I even told her that this is not how you talk to people let alone yr customers... and that I will be calling the owner and complain... her response sure he knows... I leave saying thanks to the kid who processed my refund and Sarah's reply was yeah sure whatever...! I leave and check in on Yelp! Guess what 30 min after she calls and says sorry I had things happening and I wasn't nice to you. Why cause she wouldn't like another Yelp! Review. Well then I read few reviews and wholly cow. DON'T SHOP HERE!!!! first time doing a stone veneer project. Bought 143 square feet and ended up getting shorted 36 square feet. I was polite and notified Clovis stone. They would not correct the issue even after I sent multiple emails with videos of my measurements and pictures showing that they had shorted me. They don't call you back and they don't find resolve. The best the owner could do was give me 15% off to repurchase the amount of stone they never gave me. Clovis stone boasts having been in business for over 30 years. But I later came to find out through some older folks that after the original owner (that established a good reputation) passed away. His step kids took over the business and care only about money and nothing about customer service or fairness. They'll cheat you out of your money with a smile on their face. I should've know better and looked at their Yelp reviews. They are repping a measly 2.5 stars. read more

If I could I would give Zero Stars Went in to buy bark and needed 2 yards guy at the counter told me I could only get 1.5 yards in my pick up, I shouldn't have listened and bought 2 yards because it would have fit. I paid $58 a yard. I went back later to get the other half yard and was told it would be more expensive for a half yard, they charged me at $87 dollars a yard and $43.50 for a half yard! If I had thought faster that I could have spent $15 more and gotten a full yard I would've, or if they maybe had mentioned it as part of good customer service... I called to clarify and they basically told me let the buyer beware! Clearly I should have read their horrible reviews before going there, I would have gone somewhere else! We have been having wood chips delivered from them for many years. Never again. With no warning, they dumped them in the street in front of our mailbox. In the past they have come to the door for instructions on where to dump them. When we called they said that they no longer will dump them in the driveway. Very disappointed. We have purchased rock in the past years to place in our flowerbeds etc. Yesterday we picked up 1 ton work of Nevada gold 3/4". When we came home and started to unload it, there was a ton of dirt within the rock. I called because I was really disappointed. I've never seen so much dirt mixed in with the rock. The young man on the phone told me this rock is located near the scale and catches a lot of dust and about 1 out of every 10 customers will complain of this but there's nothing they can really do. So basically, customer service/satisfaction is not a priority, and you're tough out of luck. Personally, this looks like garden dirt mixed in with rock to mess with the amount of rock you actually get and help with the weight. I wouldn't have expected this from a Clovis business, but for the backyard, we'll be taking our business elsewhere. read more

Buyer Beware !!! We are remodeling our kitchen, bathroom and landscaping our backyard. We mistakenly purchased the wrong decorative faux stone as a back splash. We wanted to exchange it and pay the difference for the correct stone. We were also willing to pay a restocking fee but they refused us. May I remind you this wasn't bark, sand or river rock. They are helpful until you have to return something, then they don't care. I referred a customer here to select some flagstone. the home owner selected and purchased the material. A few days later I pick up the material and go to the job site only to find out that the selected material wouldn't work in this application. So I return to the store to return the material approximately 30 min after I picked it up. NO RETURNS. NO EXCEPTIONS. There is nobody to talk to / no one in the office cares. Apparently they had some people buy a crate and pick the good stuff out and return the bad. That was not the case here. It left the store 30 min and then came back. I explained that they could weigh it to see that it was the same as we picked it up. But again NO ONE CARES IN THE OFFICE. I felt so bad for my customer that is now stuck with product that doesn't work for their application. Not that Clovis Stone cares but I won't be referring any customers there ever again. read more

We wanted to buy a ton of rock from them and would have paid all at once and picked up in two loads but because they don't seem to care about customers they make you purchase 1/2 ton at a time and charge you more then if you are to buy a ton. The old saying, "The customer is always right." does NOT apply to the customer service at Clovis Stone. We ordered bricks and they were not the same color as the sample bricks. They argued with us and basically did not care. They got our money and that's all that mattered to them Now we are stuck with $6,000 worth of bricks we cannot use. read more

After buying 1400 pounds of rock for my landscape to save their workers tone I took delivery of the rock in their rock container. I questioned the weight of the container and they deducted 42 pounds I returned the container the next morning it weighed 52 pounds. I asked for the difference and they refused to refund me. This was the first time using Clovis stone and was very disappointed with the customer service. I purchased some flag stone and almost 2 yards of sand. When using the sand I could smell urine in the sand. I thought mabey a cat peed on a spot,but the entire load of sand was loaded with urine. When I talked to them about it they never apologized for this. They could care less after you buy there product. Not buy here,lots of other choices and better trained staff. I love seeing the items they have as we've been wanting to update our place more lately. Staff inside is truly amazing!!! They always have a smile on their faces and are ready to help us. I have been dealing with Clovis Stone for a number of years. I use them, my neighbors all use them. I am amazed by the negative comments about the staff at Clovis Stone, it is something that I have NEVER experienced in all my years of dealing with them. I am also amazed by the fact that the positive comments seem to be hidden behind the negative ones!?!? Seems a bit fishy to be honest!! It is a family business which works hard to serve the public and provide the best products available. Their weights and counts are dead on, something that I can't say for other companies I dealt with before them. Rick, Ricky, Sarah, Benjamin and the rest of the crew are very professional and go out of their way to make sure they take care of their customers!! I wouldn't go anywhere else!!!! Why is it that everyone complains about having to wait? This is a very busy business!! Customers are money so they wouldn't have you waiting just to make you wait!! People want it now and they don't want to wait!! They also buy product and when they are wrong people never want to admit their mistake, but want to blame it on the business. I do not understand some of these reviews. I have never had a problem with the staff or the quality of the product!! If you want Home Depot quality then that's where you should go!! If you want a quality product then make no doubt this is the place to go!! But make sure to have your measurements and what product you want to buy. Came in today for the second time in a month and I have to say both times I was impressed with the customer service. As in walked into the yard the men on the forklifts were friendly and helpful. As I came in to see the samples of their thin brick I was guided to the showroom. Both the owner and his son gave me their time and attention that i needed to make my decision. Was impressed with all the samples available for me to see. This place has the most samples around. The prices seemed reasonable because of the service. I like to support local businesses when I can. Buyers beware I have purchased stone for walkways twice in the last year and a half. Each time the amount of stone delivered was far less than the amount of weight purchased. Of course they deny this however I can assure you this is the case now that I have purchased and watched as the load is actually loaded and weighed. The problem occurs when making a purchase for a bulk load of a ton or more and they deliver at a later date. When they weigh the load and deliver the amount delivered is much less then the purchased weight. I disputed this the first time around and when the manager came to our home and reviewed the issue with me he agreed and delivered the balance of the order. Then recently against my better judgement but because our landscaper said he would watch out for us we ordered a ton of another product. Once again the load was not anywhere near the weight purchased. The landscaper agreed but we did not make a stink this time. I returned to purchase more product this time I watched the process loaded in my own truck and received the actual weight purchased only because I was there to watch. I purchased 372 pounds in person and the amount of product was almost the same as the supposed one ton I purchased prior and had delivered. If you must purchase and deal with these folks do not trust if you are buying bulk product by weight. Be there to watch them weigh the product prior to delivery. When purchasing other products of a specific size or number of pieces no issue they hit the mark. I agree the staff is not the most personable to deal with as others have pointed out. There seems to an air of unhappiness around their business not very friendly or accommodating. The guys in the yard are friendly and helpful just the office folks are not. read more

This is my favorite, and by far, the best place to get stone and material from! I went into Clovis Stone on 3 separate occasions trying to pick/match stone before making up my mind. Every time I went in the staff inside was extremely patient and hands on with me. No matter how busy it was inside, they never once rushed me, they were so sweet and kind to me. The manager Sarah was BEYOND GREAT, I will continue to return to Clovis Stone because of her as well as her staffs professionalism! Very bad experience. Was looking for a specific stone color and they had about only 11 rocks left in the box so I asked if we could open the bin behind us because there were four rocks right on top that worked perfect. We waited in line four times and then they refused to open a new container with only about 11 rocks left in the original box. Not good customer service at all. If I could give zero stars I would. 40 minute experience to leave empty handed. read more
