Working with Doug was AWESOME! He provided great service at a fair price. We have a house with drainage/flooding issues and needed some help. Doug came out right away and won our business ahead of 3 other contractors that we called. The job lasted a bit longer than originally anticipated, but there were no additional fees for the extra service provided. He did all the work himself and did a great job explaining everything that was done. We will be using him again for future projects. He has some great design and improvement ideas! read more

Went on Yelp to find someone to move some sprinkler pipes as we are getting a pool put in. I texted two people, but didn't get a response. I then messaged Doug on the Yelp platform and he responded within an hour. Ironically, right after he responded, one of the two I had text referred me to Doug. Yesterday he came out, gave me an estimate and today completed the work. The pool cut off a water pipe to my flower bed so Doug installed an automatic watering system, programmed it, showed me how to download and use the app to control it. He then was supposed to reroute two lines, but found three and set it up so that I have two drip lines and can add two more. He also showed me how they all functioned. I love giving business to hard working small business owners and Doug was incredible. Would HIGHLY recommend!!!! read more

Very nice guy he called back but has a very big job he is doing so gave me a name to call to get my sprinkler system fixed

Doug is an expert landscaper with a great idea for design- he knows his plants! For the hardware, he only uses the best parts designed to last while being efficient. He is rock solid reliable, as he demonstrated when he changed his whole schedule and worked on Saturday to accommodate our concrete pour. HIGHLY recommend! read more

Thank you Doug. I had a situation today with my sprinkler. Flooded my backyard etc., Doug is true to his word he is reliable. He was busy when I called him but Doug took my call, he said, he had to complete a previous commitment first. I appreciated his honestly. Well worth the wait. Yes. Professional and friendly service. Doug Fluter Landscaping addressed my issue quickly and professionally. The cost was very reasonable and came in under estimate. Highly recommended and I will not hesitate to utilize them again. read more

This review is overdue. We used his services about 2 years and he did a very good job. He was full of good suggestions and ideas, and has a lot of experience. He did our irrigation, some concrete work, replanted some tress, planted grass and a new tree (including picking it up from the nursery.) We were very happy with his services and the quality of his work. His price was reasonable. At the time, he was very busy, so it was hard to peg him down for a start date on projects, and you have to call and follow up. We weren't in a big hurry to get things done, and we liked his work so we worked around him. I would highly recommend him and his team to anyone who is in the market for any landscaping services. read more

I had my front and backyard both done by Doug over the last few years. He's knowledgeable, has a great eye, and the value for money is fantastic. He made recommendations for me to improve my existing setup and then directed me as to how to do it. A few of the other reviews mentioned that he can be hard to get a hold of at the beginning of the project; it's worth it. He's busy and it's not a major corporation. read more

Doug is a true professional in every sense. He was helpful during every phase of our project from planning to after completion. His bid was very competitive, and he was completely involved from beginning to end including when his concrete subcontractor was doing his work. Very conscientious about cleaning up, etc. He is very responsive and knowledgeable, can't recommend any higher. We are thrilled with the results, thanks Doug!! read more

Full landscape: install irrigation, 19 plants, stone, concrete, walk-on bark, and synthetic grass. For all our landscaping projects, we always go with Doug. We first reached out to Doug in 2018 for our small backyard. My family moved with a blank backyard so we reached out to Doug for a new project. We couldn't be happier with the outcome of our landscape and the quality of their work. Doug and his team are very professional and everything went very smoothly as always. We are very pleased and excited to make new memories in our yard. It's everything we wanted. Thanks Doug and for the whole team! read more

Discovered a bad leak on a sprinkler clave Saturday morning. Needed to get it fixed asap as it does not have it's own shut off valve, so I had to turn water main off. Doug came out same day and fixed the leaks and at a reasonable price. He was friendly and professional. This is my 3rd time using him and I have always been highly satisfied! read more

I was honestly hoping to hire a non-corporate landscaper for an artificial turf project, including a golf putting area, in my backyard. When I found DFL I was very optimistic. After coming by, taking measurements, and discussing options I never heard from him again. I chose one of the other companies, obviously, that provided estimates. I will leave a separate review of that group once the project is complete. read more

Doug and his crew did a great job! I have a beautiful green lawn and a playground mulch area for my kids. They worked fast and at a great price. read more

Doug Fluter Landscaping - Grass after two weeks, the sod turned out great - Landscaping Near Me - Fresno, California

I had Doug put in my celebration Bermuda hybrid sod last year! Today it still looks as good as when his team put it in! Great Job!

Doug came to my house very fast. We spoke, had a design consult, he asked questions and took what I had to say in mind. Said would have design in 2 days. Waited two weeks, no design. Called and spoke to Doug again and he said send name and address and give two more days. It's been over a month. I've been ghosted like a crazy ex it seems. Just really kind of sad since he seemed very prompt and from reviews reasonable, but I guess I'll never know... read more

I could only give Doug Fluters a day's notice to complete a project for me. The guy who was going to remove two dwarf olive trees from their half oak barrels into my front yard flaked out at the last minute. SynLawn was to come out in two days to install my lawn and my front yard had to be ready. Doug came out the same day I called him to give me an estimate. The next day after we spoke he and a coworker completed the job in about 2 hours. As I write this review Synlawn is now installing my new Fescue grass turf. I would highly recommend Doug. His professionalism and work were excellent. read more

Doug Fluters came by and checked out what I needed. He wasn't very friendly. He said he would get back to me with a bid. He lied and didn't. The guy has no integrity. He's in it for the money period. I have since then hired a wonderful Fresno company who is very excited to do the work! read more

My experience with Doug Fluters Landscaping was as follows: 1. Contacted Doug through Yelp at 8 pm last night. Response was quick. I thought I fixed the issue, that was not the case. 2. This morning I noticed the leak was still there, I contacted Doug through Yelp at 6 in the morning. Quick response. Scheduled for today. 3. Eric was sent to fix my leak. On time. Meeting Eric was a delight, he was professional, courteous, and he explained exactly the problem and what needed to be fixed. He was fast and he cleaned up after the job was done. Very nice man and would definitely recommend this company to my neighborhood. The price was very reasonable. This company knows what they are doing and they are very professional. After taking measurements and promising to get a quote to us, he never did. My husband tried calling him and no response. What a complete waste of time. Needed a landscaper to completely do our entire backyard. He came to our property and we discussed ideas. Doug told us he would create a mock up and get back to us in a week. A week went by and he never got back to us. We decided to wait another week and still no contact from him. This was back in June 2017 and we still haven't heard from him that we decided to move on to another landscaper. We couldn't believe he just didn't contact us back. read more

I had Doug come out to quote a job at my house. I ended up doing the work myself because it was a pretty small project, however Doug was very professional, gave a fair quote, and definitely knows what he is talking about. I contacted Doug at around 630 in the morning about a leaking sprinkler, to which he responded within five minutes. He was able to come out and fix the faulty valve the same morning and charged a very fair price. I will definitely be using his services for our future landscaping needs read more

I called Doug Fluter's Landscaping looking to get some minor sprinkler repair work done. Doug happened to be in my area and agreed to meet me within an hour, even though this smaller type of work is not what they specialize in. He immediately found a wiring problem and rewired the sprinkler valve to fix it. He then checked all valves and the terminal activation to make sure everything worked before moving on. He also agreed to fix and replace all the sprinklers in my backyard that same day for an extremely reasonable price. He did an amazing job and I couldn't be more satisfied with his service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Doug to anyone looking to get landscape work done. read more

Doug and his crew did an excellent job in planning and completing our large front yard in a timely manner. He promptly responded to our request for an estimate, which we felt was more reasonable than other bids. Doug installed over 10,000sf of turf and gopher wire, as well as a 10ft border with over 40 plants and trees. They amended, tilled and leveled the yard and installed new sprinklers and drip irrigation, where needed. Deco bark was used to cover the flowerbed, as well as an additional 2,000sf of bark for future flowerbeds. It was easy to work with Doug. He was on-site every day and always took the time to discuss the progress, as well as advising us regarding the care of the new and our existing trees and plants. We would highly recommend that Doug for any large or small landscape project. read more

We initially contacted Doug to come out and give us an estimate on pulling up our sod, as we we're going to DIY our front yard in drought tolerant landscape. After providing us with an estimate, and then giving us ideas on our plan. We decided to have Doug measure the yard so he could give us an estimate on what he charge (this was solely based on how generous his was with his time giving us ideas and such, never once trying to push us into having him do it). Within 2 days Doug provided us with a design and estimate that was in line with our budget! He started one day later and finished in 3! As a result of how great our yard looks others in the neighborhood have asked who did our yard and wanting his contact information. From the beginning Doug was professional, honest, and not pushy. He consulted with us on the colors and the when the plants were delivered he showed us the placement before he put them in. We highly recommend Doug's company to anyone looking for landscape work. He was the first and only call we made and we could not be more satisfied ! read more

Doug Fluter Landscaping - the front yard of a home - Landscaping Near Me - Fresno, California

My experience with Doug over the phone was a great first impression. I called him to potentially get a proposed bid from him on work my wife and I wanted done. He was our Plan "B' after reviewing his reviews and after looking at some of his work on this site. I decided to call Doug after what seemed like a bad feeling from our current landscaper who, has not called us or has used any good communication skills. Which have lacked horribly since we obtained and put down a 10% percent already which is 100% refundable since no work has commenced. I explained that to Doug and I guess I somewhat vented my frustration, which he kindly listened and understood. We set something up that day. He actually fit us in to come by to take a look at our yard......... To shorten this up. Things worked out with our current landscaper, who is also very good at what he does(whom I will not mention at this time) and took full responsibility in what they have done in regards to scheduling and lack of communication. Which my wife and I greatly appreciated and so am giving them the opportunity to proceed and things are much smoother in all areas thus far. I just want to give credit to the experience I had with Doug Flutter who gave me a first time great experience(yes, we canceled or put a hold with Doug for now) over the phone and he will no doubt be on top of our list next time we need additional landscaping done. Thanks Mr. Fluter read more
