I give the guy credit for coming over and looking at what needed to be done as promptly as he did. But the prices were absolutely ridiculous. I was quoted $900 for a job that ended up costing me $350 with another local yard maintenance business for the EXACT same job. If he says he's going to install a certain product. Do your research on it. Google the product or visit home depot online to see how much the part costs. Based off the product price, you should be able to estimate about how much the entire cost should be (inc install). This is what I did and I knew I was getting gouged. I had some other stuff come up and I couldn't afford the job. But I got quoted elsewhere, the job got done and ended up saving literally $550. Im sure the guy does good work. Just be aware of price gouging. read more

Day one on the job and they already made me feel like we made the right choice going with them. They listened to all our needs and even went above and beyond. Our backyard yard is large and hard to keep up with. Mario eliminated all the weeds and I had a lot. We've been needing to get a drain installed. I sent multiple messages out to different companies via Yelp. New Image Landscaping was one of my top choices due to the high reviews. All of the other companies messaged me before they did but I really wanted to wait for this company. Towards the end of the day I received a message from Mario I gave him my contact information and he called me. I sent photos and he was able to come the next day to assess the drain situation. He came exactly at the time he said we would and he gave us an estimate on the spot and it was the best priced compared to the other quotes we were given. He was also available to install the next morning. Which was great! He came the next morning along with a partner and got the job done in about 2.5hours. Mario and his partner did an amazing job. They added the drain and lifted the previous drain we had. They cleaned up and semi-leveled the ground. Definitely looks better than before. We are so happy with our new drain. Highly recommend! I hired new image, landscaping after getting four different quotes for redoing the sod on my backyard. I received four different quotes and new image was not the lowest price, but they were not the highest price either and Mario came out himself to give the quote,and I found him to be a really nice guy. After I got the quote from new image, I had a little bit of an issue on the pricing I talked to Mario we settled that Mario brought his crew over the next week and started work on the project. I can tell you that Mario works his ass off. Seriously it's amazing that I worked all day long every single day over here. I ended up getting the old side taken out that had died off because my backyard was now a desert for the last 10 years. The crew scraped about 6 inches worth of old dirt out of my backyard, which was about 1500 ft.² and then they put down soil additives topsoil and then finally the sod and I mean it Mario was a really nice guy and they did a really good job. I have run a small business for 28 years and have been self-employed for over 35 years and I found Mario and new image landscaping to be a really great company because they were really responsive to whatever I wanted. They worked very hard and it ended up looking really nice. I would recommend new image landscaping to anybody and everybody. read more

Mario helped plan a great front yard project which involved trees, irrigation, lighting, and concrete work. He moved quickly and then when other needs emerged during the course of the project, he was adaptive and worked with us to add what was needed. We would hire him again and in fact may, soon, for another property. For those curious, the pairs of trees are ginkgo at the street and a colonnade of pink grapefruit, Valencia orange, and Meyer lemon leading to the house. Mario did an excellent job with our backyard project which included expanding our garden bed by saw-cutting and removing concrete and installing Italian cypress and sweet olive trees for some additional privacy from neighbors. He also replaced all our low voltage lighting and added new irrigation valves, a new timer box and a drip system. I don't recommend because they assumed we were rich based on our backyard and jacked up the price of sod by 500 percent. No other company gave a quote as high as Nee Image and it was a blatant gouging. No explanation given and barely spoke. It was shocking and disgusting as well as upsetting. Called on Tuesday Mario came around 5 pm to give a quote. I agreed to his $200 clean up and $150 a month yard maintenance. Ask him when he could start he stated Friday afternoon. No specific time (should of been my first clue) Friday at 4 pm no Mario no call. I called him got an excuse , said he be there Saturday, 5pm Saturday calls and says he can't make it will be here Sunday before 1 pm. Sunday comes 245 he calls and says he has a flat tire. We were amazed that he came out the next day to work, and did grading, weeding, dirt removal, sprinkler and sod placement as well as cleaning up the entire yard to make it picture perfect. I get it. It's spring and everyone is turning on their sprinkler systems and finding they need help. My 17 year old system had major issues with all the valves. I tried calling several sprinkler repair people and sending messages. No one responded within a few days. So I tried posting it on Yelp. Mario responded the same day I posted. He gave me an estimate quickly. Honestly, I don't know if it was a fair price or not. In a way, it doesn't matter because I didn't think anyone else would even respond. A couple of days later, Mario came over and replaced all five of my sprinkler valves. We then checked to see if anything else needed work. Things were fine, but I had him upgrade my front yard sprinkler system to a drip line. It's been a few days since the work was done and all the work he did is top notch. I'd recommend him. read more

We had Mario come out to replace a couple of sprinkler valves. He listened to us that we wanted NEW valves, not refurbished. He showed respect to us being much older than him. He even suggested another smaller project without any obligation or stress on our part. His helper did a very good job helping and cleaning up at the end.
