When I inquired around what could wait vs. immediate needs he was transparent and told me what was a now fix even if it didn't put money in his pocket (like the tires). Jon's found several deficiencies, including bad rear shocks, worn out front control arms, a bad battery, and a timing belt tensioner that had not been replaced when the timing belt was. After renegotiating the purchase price, I brought the vehicle back and they made all the repairs and had the vehicle back to me the next day. Upon picking up the vehicle, they showed me all of the parts they took off as well as all of the boxes that the new parts came in to ensure me that everything had been replaced. He also recommended an alignment because of the new parts but does not do alignments at his shop. That implies that his concern for the upkeep of the vehicle extends past his personal profits from work being done. So far, I'm happy with the work that was performed, and the amount of time it took to perform it. He quoted the price up front, it was the same price when the work was done.
