Every Time i've come in its early for work, Staffs always friendly. Pour overs are on point and the price is good. Its semi tucked away so you need to look for it a little bit. Smaller on the size, couple tables to sit in, and they serve your normal smaller cafe food, smoothies and bowls. read more

Loved this place! The workers seemed to enjoy their job and customer service was A+! We had chicken sausage quiche on bagels. The meal was huge and delicious! Their pumpkin spice latte was far batter than Starbucks! The husband had a pour over and pronounced it to be "The Bomb.com" (obviously he's not as cool as he thinks he is!) the atmosphere is casual and inviting with some doing school work and others I engaged in conversations read more

Great coffee after hiking in Yosemite all weekend. The crowd was great, you can tell there is a community there. Good check in offer and they offer a pleathers if typical coffee pastries. I avoid gluten and dairy so you may have some trouble finding something satiating but the coffee options are great. Definitely will be back. Also had some cool merchandise, plenty of seating, community events and outlets if you need to get some catch up work done after being out of service for so long. read more

I want to move to Oakhurst specifically so that I can come to this coffee shop for breakfast every morning! While driving the long stretch from OC to Yosemite, my friend and I were in desperate need for a caffeine pick-me-up around 730am. We started driving through Oakhurst keeping our eyes peeled for a Starbucks (not by choice, but by convenience) and a sign that read "Local Coffee" caught our eye. Immediately we busted a U-turn and headed straight to The Cool Bean Cafe. I always try to support local shops and restaurants, especially as tourists passing through. We walked up to the counter and were immediately greeted with the warmest smiles and an actual "Thank you" for stopping in. The place seemed to be filling up with local friendly faces and everyone was SO incredibly nice, especially because you could so blatantly tell that we weren't from there. Of course, the coffee and breakfast sandwiches were DELICIOUS; however, it really made our morning to be treated as longtime friends at a place we'd never been. Thank you for the hospitality, Cool Bean, and please know we will be stopping by on all of our trips up to Yosemite! read more

I had read the great reviews and wanted to check it out for myself! I was impressed from the beginning with their cozy shop and spacious outdoor seating. I was getting my coffee to go, and I appreciated their quick and friendly service. There wasn't a long line like I normally find at Starbucks. The staff at the counter was extremely helpful and happy and made my custom latte absolutely perfectly. I went back two more mornings, and the last time, as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly hello and was asked if I wanted my usual order of "two medium lattes, one with just a little bit of chocolate." Wow! Such excellent customer service. I only got one person's name, Casey, but everyone who worked there was super friendly! They sell and serve organic coffee that is DELICIOUS! I highly recommend this place! I'm sorry I was in a hurry and totally forgot to leave a tip. I hope that this very positive review brings more customers to this AWESOME coffee shop. I will definitely go back again and next time I will bring my tip! read more

Great food, great drinks, and very friendly. A MUCH better alternative to Starbucks. And, free wifi! I was scheduled to do a public astronomy program at Glacier Point, only to discover that my laptop had died! Drove to Oakhurst and was able to retrieve a copy of my files remotely using Cool Bean's wifi. They even offered me a hard wired connection if I needed it. Drove back to Yosemite and gave the program to a full amphitheater both nights - thanks to the folks at Cool Bean. Love the Pumpkin Chai and the egg/bagel combos!!! read more

Love this place!!! Why such an excited review? Let me tell you; *Family owned and operated. *I had the quiche for breakfast and it could have passed for a meal at a nice restaurant. Delicious! *Roomy and very comfortable *The absolute best patio I've ever seen at a coffee shop with a canopy of greenery and flowers. *Way above typical customer service *The fastest and most reliable Internet service I have ever used at a public location. *and last but not least, awesome coffee. I was visiting family in the area and stumbled upon this little treasure when I was looking for a place to get some work done. Wish there was a Cool Bean Cafe near my house :-) read more

Every town needs an amazing local coffee shop to hang out in and this is the one. The owners and their team are a bright spot in your day no matter what time you stop by. They go above and beyond to provide amazing customer service, tasty food and snacks and high quality, organic, free-trade coffee. The recently added benches lends to its already cozy appeal and if you're in the mood for some fresh air, there is ample space to gather on the patio. Oakhurst is lucky to have this little coffee bean gem and I highly recommend stopping in & supporting this lovely shop. read more

It's always nice to have a great latte at a small, local coffee shop instead of a chain. Brother and I were staying in Oakhurst while visiting Yosemite for a couple days and I needed some good coffee before the 10 hour trip back to AZ. The vanilla latte and blueberry muffin were AWESOME. The touch of vanilla was perfect, not overly sweet like some vanilla lattes can be. Muffin was fresh and flavorful. What puts the place over the top is the customer service. The cashier was very friendly and made an AZ girl feel welcome in the small coffee shop filled with locals. I grabbed my coffee and muffin to go but I would have loved to sit and enjoy the patio. Definitely a great place to grab a cup before the road or a trip to Yosemite! read more

Super kind staff, quick service and Covid precautions taken- all staff wearing masks and same if customers. A little hard to find this place tucked in behind McDonald's- the map appeared to show it on the opposite side of the street. Worth the hunt though! read more

The husband and I are in Oakhurst for the weekend for a wedding and we needed some breakfast this morning. After some yelping, we decided to go to Cool Bean Cafe! It was meant to be. My husband's nickname during college was Cool Beans! Walked in and ordered an Americano, a Mexican mocha, a quiche, a chocolate muffin, and a ham and cheese panini. The Mexican mocha was AMAZING! Wonderfully flavored, but not too sweet. The chocolate muffin was another winner. The quiche was alright, but I think they heat it up in the microwave because the cheese on top had that microwaved texture. The panini was delicious. I had this artichoke spread that gave it a really interesting flavor. Overall, this place is super cute and we'll be back for some coffee tomorrow! read more

I LOVE Local coffee shops. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. Especially when they're good. Cool Beans was COOL indeed. Fair trade coffee = good. Coffee = good. I've been here in the past and was pleased, however things have become lax in regard to safety measures such as enforcing customers wear masks while they wait. I tried to keep my distance but there were three massless individuals in a tiny waiting room, two of them conversing with the barista. Between the barista and the customers are the cups and tops we get served which means potential exposure to the germs carried by these individuals, COVID or not. I write this not to speak Ill on the business as I do really enjoy having a local, small business coffee shop to support. But people visiting from out of town or who visit during slower hours should know the cups they have been given have been breathed, which again pre COVID (no worries) but with new information new policies are put into place, and if we don't keep up with the new we will be delegated to the past. read more

Cozy stop in a strip mall right off Hwy 41 heading into Yosemite. Nice place for a break on the long drive. Drip coffee, pour overs, full on coffee bar service. What I loved is the service. I don't drink coffee but enjoy hot chocolate except most places serve it way too hot for me. They readily agreed to make it kids temperature for me which was perfect! Many thanks & we have a new place to stop when in the area. read more

Good coffee, good food and even friendlier service. I got the carmilla which was a tad too sweet, I'll skip out on the whipped cream next time. Wish the mozzarella panini I had a little more veggies instead of so much cheese. The artichoke is a nice touch. Customer service is stellar. The lady at the counter is super friendly to everyone. Would definitely go back/ recommend read more

Love this coffee shop and it's owners! The staff is always welcoming and nice, the place is clean, the coffee is delicious and ethically sourced. The food options are limited, but good. The egg something-ruther that they put on their bagels is delicious, especially with the artichoke spread! It's a great combo to support a local place and actually PREFER it over the chain-store options... read more

Ordered a decaf iced caramel mocha with a non-dairy milk. I was informed by the barista that the decaf they use at this place goes through a process that makes sure that their coffee contains zero chemicals (she told me the name of the process but I unfortunately forgot). This was really cool to know since decaf coffee can sometimes contain some nasty stuff. My drink ended up being very yummy too! read more

My cousin recently moved to Oakhurst and said that they had the best coffee ever and would never go to Starbucks again. She said they have fair trade coffee and no extra crap added like Stabucks does. So I got a hazelnut coffee and a spinach quiche. My daughter got a blended chocolate chip drink and a bagel. She liked her drink and finished it up, which says alot because it takes her days to drink a Starbucks vanilla frap. My drink wasn't very strong and didn't taste like hazelnut. I didn't think it was that great. The quiche wasn't worth what you pay and it needed salt, no flavor. read more

My parents are big Dennys fans. Thank god we didn't end up going there. Looked at some reviews and it led me to this place. Drinks were amazing. You can get it hot, cold or blended. Place is on the verge of being dirty. Their blueberry bread (looked like banana bread) was over baked, crust was too dark and thick. Coffee was so-so. Hate to compare it to Starbuck's but it wasn't near as good. Probably won't go back if another choice is open and available. However, their staff was friendly. read more
