But Dr. Karen Jahimiak has always been friendly and gentle with her exams. I'm not sure when they moved to their current location in Waukesha, but I remember being more excited about seeing the dentist. "They have TVs now!" Which, when I was younger was awesome. I was able to watch a tv show while the dentists worked on my teeth. Cartoons with teeth cleaning somehow seems more fun! There have also been more gains from the sunglasses while you're laying under the bright light. To the technology gains with better reminders for your appointment makes the whole experience more convenient - because an appointment once every 6 months can be easily forgotten. Now, yes, I've seen Dr. Karen Jahimiak basically my whole life (visits home from college always included a trip to Complete Family Denstistry) - but I remember other dentist that had inspected my teeth quite aggressively (no fun!) they are no longer there. But my last visit I had another new dentist inspect my teeth, Dr. Cathy Raz and I was a little nervous. But she was super friendly and knew she never worked with me before and lightened the mood quite effortlessly. Oh and she had a very gentle touch too! I wouldn't mind her work with me again. I would recommend anyone to try the Complete Family Dentistry, especially families with kids. I have had cavities filled when I was younger and remember the experience to be as pleasant as that process can be. Lidocaine is a kid's best friend too... no shot in the gums, and it numbs you up. Just don't drink out of a straw until you get your feeling back!

Let me preface this review with the fact that I had been in severe tooth pain for about 2 weeks straight, living off of Ibuprofen and tylenol. On my journey to figure out what was going on with my tooth, I went to 3 different dentists who couldn't figure out the issue. It wasn't until Dr. Dan Smith walked in the room that I felt a rush of reassurance, trust, and kindness. Dr. Dan has an incredibly caring bedside manner mixed in with the utmost professional demeanor in his responses to your questions. He took his time with my care, listened to my complaints until I was done giving him all the information that was important to me, and he reassured me with confidence in his answers. I cannot recommend this establishment and Dr. Dan enough. For the first time I felt cared about and that I was in good hands. It took Dr. Dan no more than a couple minutes to come up with the cause to all my tooth pain / issues. Their pricing is beyond fair compared to the surrounding dental offices. Dr. Caputo was able to see me this morning at 8:00. He was able to save the tooth and put on a temporary crown. Permant crown will be put on next week. I only mention this little experience because sometimes my friends are looking for a dentist for whatever reason. I highly recommend Dr. Caputo. He and his staff are so kind, friendly and professional. He believes that he should try to do anything to save the tooth, rather than pull it. He's a good guy. Give him a try. But my last two experiences were very bad. Last time I went here I was waiting (I think over 30min?) even though I made an appt. Fine, it happens. I got in the chair they took x-rays (great!) then sent a hygienist over and she did very, very, very little. They usually use a color coded probe to measure your gumline to see how much its receded, that was not done. They also de-calcify your teeth with a scaler/ultrasonic scaler (the scrapey part no one likes) she only did it on a few front teeth. Then she opened the prophy paste to "clean" the teeth and all she did was tap my four front teeth. That's it. That's all folks. Then they RUSH RUSH RUSHED me out the door. No one was that friendly either...busy I guess? Whatever. All in all very poor experience. They sure did bill my insurance though, of course! I thought maybe a fluke, one off? So I sent my husband in with tooth pan (cracked tooth.) I made him an appointment and everything. He waited FOR AN HOUR still and they looked at it, took a x-ray and sent him on his way. To be fair he didn't have my HSA card for payment so I get that. The real problem is (besides the ridiculous wait time) when I asked him about the experience he said "I didn't feel welcome there." and "They rushed me out so quickly." and "I just didn't feel like they wanted me there."
