Unfortunately, they are all about money now and then she said oh we're so sorry I didn't mean to send that to you now so that means that you haven't even looked at my mouth, but you're gonna determine the best way of you making the most money prior to even see me. First visit was really nice! Second visit not so nice. New dentist, Dr Steiner, looked at my xrays and gave a medical opinion, "your sinuses are blocked on one side. Ordered a panoramic xray with out getting pre authorization even though I had one done the year before. After the xray expressed great concern with the blockage in my sinus. I was able to get an emergency appointment with an ENT doctor at Summit. he looked at the xray pictures i took with my phone and laughed. "I really dislike when inexperienced dentist do this! This is common in 25% of population and poses no threat what so ever." I called Delafield dentist immediately after my appointment to tell them of the doctors opinion. It was like deaf ears! Dental insurance would not cover the xray. Said it was a medical claim. Medical would not cover the $275.00 saying it was unauthorized and/or not pre-authorized. After 18 months of this with them, they sent me to collections. I have shared all the details with two of the accounts receivable team. Both were sympathetic to what happened and neither felt I should have to incur this cost. On top of that...they wanted me to book a deep cleaning for 2 teeth. I mad an appointment for it and my follow up for 6 months. Two weeks before the deep cleaning appointment I had to cancel it due to overseas travel. I received a voicemail that they would cancel it and my next scheduled cleaning. I was told for legal reasons they could not clean my teeth before the I had the deep cleaning! I called when I got back. Obviously my cleaning appointment was gone, i needed to wait another 4 months past my scheduled cleaning to get a new appointment. Then was told they WILL NOT schedule it until after the 2 tooth deep cleaning was completed. I found a new dentist! What a shame to treat a client like that. For this reason I can not recommend this dentist and practice to anyone. read more

I had an appointment for a crown on a molar and a filling to be replaced on another tooth. They did a fantastic job, there was not any discomfort what so ever and the appointment was shorter then expected. They made going to the dentist enjoyable. I am very fussy - and I have to say that they have never disappointed me. I've had crown work done - that was nothing short of perfect. It might be hard to believe, but my experiences - from routine cleanings, to a filling and a crown have all been wonderful. No one loves needing dental work - but we all need it. Had funeral and forgot to call to cancel my appointment. Delafield Dental made the business decision not to budge on the $100 penalty, enough said. But if you need more. Also had a cleaning and during the cleaning they indicated that they had to "go deeper", I said OK, they indicated that it was another $80, I said OK and then they made me sign paperwork while laying in the chair with my mouth wide open. That should have been my first sign. Quick background: I have been traumatized from dentists and dental hygienists my entire life. That's not a reflection of my teeth hygiene, it is simply being poked and wrenched on like I'm a practice dummy. No education and zero care/interest in building rapport with me (patient/client) which I'm sure leads to many poor health outcomes for other patients. For example, everywhere I've been I explain my jaw issues (severe TMJ) and no one charts it in my file or tells the next person coming in to do work, nor have they respected the issue through the duration of care. Okay, on to talking about my amazing experience with Delafield Dental: From the moment I walked in the door I was treated with great customer service, care, and education on not just "what" to do better, more importantly, "how" and "why" which I've lacked anywhere else. Meggin did my cleaning and will forever be my go-to (as long as she practices) for cleaning or better understanding to maintain/promote healthy mouth hygiene. Dr. Lalani was great as well. Genuine, intentional, respectful, and gentle. Both Meggin and Dr. Lalani seemed to truly care about me as a patient and provide the best care of their ability, not just to collect a paycheck and work a job they hate. Okay, off my soap box... this truly is a great place and I am amazed it took me so long to learn there are actually quality dentist offices out there and misery should NOT be the norm when receiving care during routine visits. read more

Originally I decided to not return to these money grubbers because they decided to ad a 5% surcharge if you pay with a credit card. I also had to make a copayment on cleanings where if you go anywhere else there is no copayment. Then I broke a crown that they had put in just two years ago. I went to another dentist who said that the reason it broke was that the tooth preparation was incorrect. I called them and there is no warranty or any type of consideration. My insurance wont pay to recrown this tooth for five years so I will have to pay the full amount regardless of where I go. read more

Quick check in at front desk and very courteous and also explained all the paperwork thoroughly with me before leaving and also set my next few dentist appointments. The dental assistants were also great and made sure I wasn't having any pain while they were doing my x-rays and the hygienist also made sure I felt comfortable and not in pain. I have been going to Westwood Dental (soon to be Delafield Dental, I believe) the past two years. Dr. Potrykus' attitude of providing comprehensive care is manifested via a realistic application of multiple approaches to achieve my goals. I have never felt any pressure to pursue any suggested procedure. He surveyed my mouth, conveyed to me what were the most important next steps, and laid out suggested courses of action. I return to the office to have the procedures performed for which I am ready, when I am ready. It's that simple. From the staff side, everyone with whom I have talked is friendly and understanding. I appreciate their senses of humor. There is a real family feel to the place. The waiting room is comfortable and there is a kids area with a little table and some games and toys. The outside of the building looks kind of like a home, likely due to the driveway and the building's location, on a frontage road, with a rural-seeming paved driveway. However, do not let the country flavor fool you. These folks have state-of-the-art technology. X-ray's are displayed on LCD monitors. Whitening trays are created in-house. They even offered to show Netflix on a TV for me (which I declined). They are conveniently located just off I-94, on a frontage road. I live in Waukesha but make the drive to Delafield easily, taking only about ten minutes from Bluemound & I94. So, for Waukesha, Brookfield, Pewaukee, Dousman, and Delafield patients, this is an ideal location. To be honest, I would probably make the trek there, even if I were to live in Milwaukee (or Mukwanago, etc.), if I had the travel time built into the day, just for the amazing care of service. I have had several dental issues over the past few years, requiring extensive work, and this place by far provides the best care, and I am not being taken advantage of money wise. I was nervous when my favorite dentist retired a little over a year ago - who would I see, what would I do? He had been the best! Well, my fears have been stilled. Since, Dr Wavernek left, I am now seeing Dr Brobson, and her assistant, Laurie, at the same location. Along with her kind, professional and gentle staff, they have made sure that all is well. They must have hired everyone with the same philosophy. I have had two crowns placed since Dr Brobson has taken over, and with the new equipment, both were placed the same day that the tooth was prepped. No temporary! And, both are doing fine. They also offer light anesthesia now, and a Dental Savings Plan that works similar to dental insurance. All in all, I am very happy. I highly recommend Delafield Dental. read more
