I love my pickpocket-proof convertible pants. THEY'RE YOUR PERFECT TRAVEL COMPANION! I've worn my first pair almost daily since February 2023, they've been to Spain, Pennsylvania, New York, last week to Egypt and countless times to Trader Joe's (where there was a rash of pickpocketing--but not for me :). They're extremely comfortable, with a crotch gusset that makes them the perfect pants to wear on long flights. The nature-feeling nylon is breathable and dries quickly. Each side pocket has FOUR levels of protection! The first is a zipper for everyday situations. When you want to be really secure, a flap buttons over the zipper so that it cannot be opened without first unbuttoning the flap--something a pickpocket won't do because you'd feel it (and they'll go for easier targets). Inside each side pocket are two more pockets--the larger one is secured with velcro--so you can put something in it and even if you forget to zip the pocket, someone else's hand will feel your pocket as empty. Finally there's the invisible zippered pocket inside the pocket. This is the most secure place for your wallet or passport--both of which fit. A hand coming into your pocket can't get in here. So if you button the flap, zip the zipper, secure the velcro and zip the inner zipper... NOBODY IS GETTING INTO YOUR POCKET. The pants have convenient cargo pockets with two buttons and a snap. Handy for items you need quick access to, but not your valuables. The back pockets have two buttons, and a zipper, and one even has the invisible zipper inside the zippered pocket. The convertible design is perfect for travel because you can go from long pants to short with a single zip. A handy design touch is that the left leg has red thread on both the pant leg and the zippered portion so it's easy to put the right pieces together. They wash beautifully--dry quickly--and feel soft. They're high-quality, well-made and really last! And the cut is flattering, too! The customer service is first-rate, they answer all your questions and take care of any issues--I needed two replacement buttons and they sent them right out to me, no charge. 12/4/2025: Upgraded stars because I finally recieved my refund for the undelievered pants and customer service provided a somewhat decent (gaslighting) explaination, plus they asked nicely. Ordered two pairs of womens cargo pants in March in anticipation for a trip in Oct. A month later nothing. Contacted customer service, then they tell me they're backordered but they'll send an alternate color that was in stock. Received 1 pair and they fit like mens pants (not shaped for a woman, cant put anything in the pockets without pants becoming even more tight) but the trip was imminent so I took the hit. UPDATE 12/4/2025: recieved refund after asking again. Day of the trip...I get flagged at security because the clasps set off the scanner...security wanded me and confirmed it was the capri button snaps. DETAILS: I went through the walk-in circular scanner scanner and tsa showed me on thier screen that my ankle area lit up red, they lifted both cuffs of my pants and the capri tabs were there, they wanded the tab and it beeped. No other hidden or layered pockets are in that area, non-ferrous metal button or not the scanner flagged the capri tab. Luckily I had a pair of 5.11 cargo pants (which also have hidden/layered pockets) in my carry-on and changed into those so I could travel with peace of mind. Have not worn the Clothing Arts cargo pants since...disappointed. Price of 5.11 and First Tactical (I own pants from both) cargos are significantly cheaper with higher quality build anyway... I do appreciate the customer service professionalism when they respond and maybe I will try them again in the future if they expand their sizes and womens selection. read more

3 Months of waiting, still waiting to get my pants order back in May. The order says 3-5 business days, with a free Memorial Day weekend special from owner's response: Adam R. The order confirmation in your email lists the preorder timetables, which are the same as those listed on the website. Please send us your order info so we can update you on their status. Once the product arrives at the warehouse, shipping takes 3-6 business days. To me, as a customer, Mr. Adam needs to check his inventory before promising his customers a 3-day delivery. He should not take the order, and then who knows, when he gets it from China? May another 3 Months!!! read more

WORST Customer Service ever! I ordered a pair of pants, waited and waited weeks. Finally after emailing and calling they sent the pants to me. Tried them on for 2 minutes; they were too heavy and bulky for my needs. I sent them back, following return instructions perfectly. On July 18, 2025, Nine (9) days after they received my return, Adam R. emailed me and advised the Garment Department would review the pants and processing takes 5-7 days. Today is August 8, 2025...it's been 21 days sent I got that email from Adam R and 29 days since they received the return. WORST CUSTOMER EVER. read more

Ordered pants on December 3rd 2024. It is now April 23 2025 and pants have not arrived. People will understand that you can't keep up with demand if you communicate status periodically. Clothing Arts did offer to ship a different color that was in stock but that's not what I wanted. First promised February delivery then mid April. Nothing! And they still offer sales but can't keep up!! I'm now believing a review from Dave saying spend your money elsewhere. Update: Just received a notice my order has been cancelled "at my request" and refund will be issued. I never requested a refund, just a request to provide shipping status. I received my Pick-Pocket Proof® Adventure Travel Pants today. I am planning to wear them on a 3-week adventure trip that I am taking in September. I thoroughly checked out the pants, and I am pleased with the quality and thought that went into making them. I worry about pickpockets when I travel. I don't have to worry about these pants, because they have double and triple protection against pickpockets. I doubt that Harry Houdini would be able to pick my pockets! I am also impressed by the customer service of Clothing Arts. They expedited my order so that I would get my pants in time for my trip. I spotted 2 pairs of your amazing pick-pocket proof pants in Europe just a few weeks ago. One pair worn by my husband and one pair worn by me. We had been told that at least 2 of the cities we visited were notorious for pick-pocketing (Rome and Naples). But it wasn't just those cities- we appreciated the reassurance they gave us in every place we traveled. Especially when in train stations or walking through crowded, touristy areas. We love these comfortable pants, with lots of safety features. Never felt ill at ease when wearing them. Of course you still have to be vigilant, but I really felt there was no way anyone could steal my phone or wallet or any other valuables securely zipped and tucked away. Fantastic product! One time someone answered and said they'd ship the pants right away, but of course nothing has been sent. Most times when I've called, no one has answered or responded to my messages. While in general the concept of these cargo pants is good. I bought some directly from Clothing Arts, ordering them well in advance of a trip. They arrive after I had been back for some time. They have zippers everywhere and they are sturdy zippers, everywhere but the fly which is the most used zipper. This had broken within two months of use and is most annoying. I have never been able to access customer service which does not appear to be available. I would not recommend these cargo pants to anyone although I am wearing them as I write this. At home it does not matter if I cannot do up the fly. I wonder if I will ever actually wear them out or derive the benefits of owning them and thwarting thieves. Such it is. Do not buy these. Before you order from Clothing Arts you should be aware that they are currently taking months to deliver. Much longer than what they state upon placing an order. I ordered women's "Business Pants" in early December (my credit card was debited on December 6, 2024). It is now February 22, 2025 and I have yet to receive my order (2.5 months and delivery is still weeks away at least). When I called them asking about the status of my order I also enquired about the legality of debiting my credit card months before filling my order, they stated that because this item was a specialty order, they could legally charge me upfront. This felt like a bit of a cover-up for lack of stock, as my size is a common size, and I was ordering what I assumed to be a popular product. I have faith that I will receive my item, but I'd like to warn other shoppers that they wait can be unacceptably long. I grew up in NYC and have traveled a lot. I bragged that I'd never been pickpocketed. Well, I have been wearing their Pickpocket Proof pants while traveling or in crowded situations for over 5 years since I WAS pickpocketed at the Gare du Nord while getting on the Paris Metro. I had worn their pickpocket proof shorts earlier in the day, but it had gotten rainy and cool, so I put on regular jeans. Oops, they got me. Zero doubt Clothing Arts Pickpocket Proof pants would have prevented it. I can not tell you how angry I was at myself. Lesson learned. Very well made. They are comfortable and have held up extremely well. You can wash them in a sink, roll them in a towel to wick out as much moisture as possible, hang them up, and they are often dry in under 30 minutes. Just bought another pair read more

Pick-pocketing for dummies, and I was the dummy. I was on the subway in Paris when a teenage boy moved in close to me, put his hands on my shoulders, and followed me when I tried to move away. It was likely so obvious to others that I was being targeted for pick-pocketing, but I was oblivious. I kept moving and telling him to get away from me, but he was persistent. He and a lady that was with him got off at the first stop after getting on. It was an extremely uncomfortable and disturbing experience as he was so touchy and wouldn't get away from me. When they got off, my wife had me check my pockets, and sure enough, the zipper on my right front pocket had been pulled up. While he was all over me, the lady was trying to pick my pocket. Thanks to my Clothing Arts pants, the zipper never made it past the button flap. I would not travel without these pants. I feel totally secure, and know that there is virtually no way someone could get my valuables. My new awareness coupled with my pants give me great peace of mind. Lots of upsides but one big downside to Adventure Travel pants and shorts. I have been a fan of Adventure Travel pants and shorts for years and have bought numerous pairs. I especially like that they dry quickly, provide extra storage for must-haves, and of course, that their design provides defense against pick-pockets. However, these pants and shorts consistently have a major weak feature: the front zipper. On every pair I have owned, the front zipper ends up breaking early on and and needs to be replaced. My replacement of choice has been the sturdy zipper commonly found on blue jeans. Unfortunately, I did not take that preventative maintenance step before my last trip (Costa Rica). Sure enough, the front zipper gave way just one week into the trip. A shout out to Gorilla tape (applied to the inner side of the fabric) for keeping the fly together for the rest of the journey. Clothing Arts: Please consider including a blue jeans type front zipper as a standard feature of your Adventure Travel pants collection. read more

Wore the woman's anti theft pants almost entire trip through Peru in October 2019. I don't know that anyone tried to rob me, but they wouldn't have gotten anything due to all the hidden zippered, Velcro and button pockets. I kept my passport, money and other items I needed during the trip in my pockets which allowed me to have hands free for taking photos of most amazing country. The pants are comfortable and dry pretty fast hanging to dry. Mine are the grey which is really a kind of green grey, functions as a neutral color with many colored tops. I ordered the PPP pants for an upcoming Europe trip. According to the size chart and measurements, I got a 36 waist in mens. When they arrived they were HUGE. My husbands waist actually measures more like 39 (the instructions on line said to subtract 3 inches --so I did). They were at least 2 inches too large in the waist, but the BUTT??? OMG I measured with a tape from seam to seam across the butt of the pants, and it was 26 inches --meaning 52 inches total. Could probably put two normal people in there. I called customer service and said I didn't want to pay to return them, since I had followed their sizing chart and these pants were sooooooo baggy they looked clownish. She sent me a return label with the assurance that there would be a note in my order not to charge me. Checked my credit card today. $8.00 deducted for returning. Makes me mad. BE VERY CAREFUL --and prepared to pay to return them. read more
