Last week I checked it out to see if it was on sale and to my delight it was. Bergdorf's had deeply discounted it, and I was able to use the new customer discount on top of that to get an extra 15% off. The final price was about 60% off retail. The bag arrived six days later, boxed nicely in a Loewe dust bag. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

The store is a little too ultra-high-end luxury for me, but it is a legendary New York institution and a unique pinnacle of high-end shopping, so I don't mind following my happy wife around. This review is mainly, though, for the fragrances. There was a fragrance specialist named El-Aton Georges, who was eager to use his knowledge to help us, since I am so picky. He made it fun. It was like, "Okay, you may detect notes of this and that" even though I would be detecting opening notes of "a grandma apple putting her sandalwood cigarettes out into a bar of Irish Spring" or "a leather lemon changing motor oil while eating linen popcorn in a savannah rain, with end notes of Lil' Debbie Cosmic Brownie" So, look for El-Aton, and tell him I sent you. He is quite the Con-nose-seur and he welcomes you all.

Today, we spend the day in the area for his birthday and finally came to this location. They had so many pieces we both wanted. I left with a jacket, shorts, a top and a hat. My husband left with a bag, pants and a top. I love that there were things on sale, most of my items were 25% off. I love that the staff member at the register was so nice and friendly and made sure my husband provided his info for his online acct so he can get points on his order. He was able to redeem an additional $10 off. I asked The guy at the register about a bathroom and he told me it was by the fitting rooms. When i went back there, the guy there said they are strict on bathroom usage and i told him, look my husband is currently paying right now. So he saw i was saying the truth and was kind and let me go. Their bathrooms are really clean. He didn't give me a hard time, he just looked nervous like he didn't want to get into any trouble. I will def be back to this location.

They let me shop as I would without bothering much more after which is great to not be hounded after an initial greeting. After finding what I needed the cashier was nice and friendly also making sure I had an account to get some reward points(which I already have because it's Carhartt duh!!!) and I was able to use reward points on my purchase in store which saved me a couple dollars. They promise to refund your money within 1-2 days of receipt of the package. This did not happen in my case. It took them 15 days and three emails, and they still would not issue the refund. I had to do a chargeback through my credit card company. This was after I provided UPS proof of delivery showing that the package had been received at TB's return facility. They claimed to have "technical difficulties" and promised to investigate, but they held the refund hostage during this process. In other words, they punished me for their own ineptitude. Many similar complaints on Google Reviews and the Better Business Bureau show that this was not a one-time occurrence. Thom Browne has a history of dragging their feet when it comes to issuing refunds. It's a deceptive business practice to advertise a policy and then refuse to follow it. I have never experienced such poor customer service from a luxury brand; most of them go out of their way to accommodate customers because they want repeat business. But I'll never buy from Thom Browne again. I will be donating my only other Thom Browne shirt to the thrift store.

Being that Rei Kawakubo is my favorite designer, we just had to stop by the Comme des Garçons store. At first we missed it cus we didn't expect the outside to look the way it did but the tunnel leading you into the store was like walking into a spaceship. As soon as I get inside I was greeted by a sales associate. Everyone was well dressed of course. My girlfriend and I walk around the store looking at the different lines (Homme, Homme Plus, Play, Junya, etc.) and the first 5 minutes I'm already extremely overwhelmed. As I was putting down this green hat I was trying on, Sachi, one of the very stylish sales associates there came up to me and said "maybe the navy one would be better since you would be able to do more with it." I appreciated her input and from there she started helping my girlfriend and I out. Just two days before, (March 1st) the hyped CDG x NIKE Vapor Max released at 9am and it was unfortunate that we landed at 3pm. As soon as I landed I called the store and asked if they had any sizes left and I was informed that they didn't have any. I was hoping that I could've gotten my hands on a pair of those since the first time I saw previews in October! I thought I had given up on those, until Sachi looked at my shoes and asked what size I am. I said I was an 8.5-9 and she told me they still had some VaporMaxes left, despite the fact that they were not on display anymore. My eyes lit up and I was filled with excitement that they still had my size. I tried them on and decided right away that I would get them. She then proceeded to help my girlfriend out with a pair of shoes that she decided to get as well. I went into the fitting room with one pair of pants, and after about an hour in there I ended up trying 3 beautiful pairs of Homme Plus trousers on thanks to Sachi's assistance and as difficult it was for me to say no to the pants, I had to control myself a little bit and hope that they would be there the next time I came back. I thanked Sachi for the help and told her that it was my birthday and that she definitely made my day that much better! She gave us her card and I told her that the next time I'm in NYC (hopefully in October) I would come back and look for her! Great customer service and great product. I would never expect anything less from the CDG brand. Thanks Sachi!

I also called and spoke with amazingly helpful staff. I was treated like gold by the staff and felt valued. My item was shipped that same day and they communicated every step of the way. In contrast I had also ordered an available item from the online store last Friday. I reached out today (Tuesday) as it still hasn't even shipped! I explained the difference in the AMAZING service from the boutique and the dismissive service from the website. They responded saying they would reach out to the boutique and let them know they should have gotten back to me sooner???
