I want to express my disappointment with the service and product provided by the Chantilly location. As a returning customer who had a positive experience with another location, I expected the same high standards of professionalism and quality, but my recent experience was quite different. 1. The initial product I received did not match what was agreed upon. I expected a custom closet solution, but the result was below expectations until my requests were partially addressed. They initially installed shelves and rods that did not move! The mission of their entire company is adjustability with paneled units to move up/down as needed, so I'm dumbfounded by what they initially installed. 2. The designer assigned to my project was difficult to work with and doesn't seem to have the aptitude to handle being questioned. Communication was poor, and at one point, I even received a message from the designer that was clearly meant for her boss, which was both unprofessional and uncomfortable. 3. I had to continually push to have my concerns addressed. Although the closets were mostly fixed in the end, this should not have been necessary. I felt this process was far more difficult and stressful than it should have been. I hope this feedback helps future customers avoid the same frustrations, and I strongly urge your company to improve the service and communication standards at the Chantilly location. They should be humbled to get any business as there are many other closet competitors locally!

I must say that every hesitation I had about closet companies was proven right. You know how you have high hopes to have a great experience with a business and then when you finally meet with a consultant from there and it turns out to be everything you had thought could go wrong? Yeah. Got that here. Closet factory seems to believe that we need them. And considering businesses are struggling right now they sure have this attitude that they don't care. I'm sorry but please don't treat customers as if we are a waste of time. Okay so my experience: They were able to schedule an appointment well. So that's good. They sent over templates that I could fill out and to draw out my closet blueprint. Okay cool you all got it together. And then the appointment happened...The consultant didn't even look at any of the forms or drawings I provided to her prior to our meeting. Why did I fill it out then? When I met with her she said, "sorry I didn't get a chance to fully look over what you sent" so pretty much the whole time we were in the virtual meeting she was drawing out my closet. I understand at some point we have to work out a plan together. But like from start to finish? It was literally me watching her for an hour+ to put a CAD drawing together. When I went through the list of items I would like to have, she pretty much implied that I can't afford it. The funny thing is this was the only project for my new home that I really wanted to invest in. The reason why I wanted to write this is for those that are interested in the process and would really love a new closet. It sucks because after meeting with Closet Factory I have no interest in doing this anymore. When I met with the consultant she's like yeah everyone is working from home now and wants to spend money on closets.... Hey thank you, you just made me realize how superficial it is to spend money on things like remodeling closets. So it's about 4 months now after moving in my home, I don't care about remodeling my closet anymore. Thank you closet factory for saving me almost 5k. By the way, 5k will get you the most basic options. Go to IKEA instead.

. With an online inquiry, I was paired with Susan who expeditiously made an appointment. I was a first-time homeowner with big eyes, a grand blueprint, and a small budget. Susan I soon discovered was not only an asset to Closet Factory but making my house into my dream home. I have consulted her for two projects, my walk-in closet and murphy bed for the study/guest room. She has held my hand during life changes and shared a laugh while offering advice to me (an adult in training). To say she goes above and beyond in an understatement. She is personable, professional, and from listening to her--caters to each client's needs, requests, and financial dynamic. She was informative, communicative, and accommodating prior to our arrival. At the in-home consultation, she came prepared with wood and handle samples, measuring equipment, and doggie treats. We sat and discussed my ideal projects and on the spot, she sketched the design according to my wishes, her expertise, and discussed options to maintain the project's pricepoint. Between projects, Susan lended her expertise and esthetic talents to discuss potential projects, ensuring the project we did was still up to standard, and assisting with locating a lighting fixture in the brochure. Installation was organized, prompt, neat, courteous, and professional. The quality is just as exceptional as the customer service and installation. I look forward to working with susan on my next project in the next property!

    Everything adjustable!

I had my master bedroom closet installed by Ronnie Wilson and I'm absolutely in love with how it turned out! My designer Denise House was so patient with me. Denise went through all sorts of options and scenarios to help me decide on the right features and configuration for my closet. Her recommendations was everything! I can't say enough good things about my installer Ronnie. When he arrived, he laid out the materials neatly. When Ronnie was finished he demonstrated an explained how everything was adjustable. He did an amazing job! He was so professional and fast-paced throughout the whole process. It turned out so beautifully! Super thanks to the both of them! I've referred the both of them to my neighbors who admire their work. I absolutely and whole-heartedly recommend Ronnie and Denise to anyone looking to get a custom closet installed!

Closet Factory created my dream closet last year and this year we asked them to create a drop zone/mud room type area. Michelle, the designer, came up with awesome ideas and found a way to make it work! We are so happy with how everything turned out - we will always use Closet Factory for closet redesigns and built-ins!! Love them!

More filler. Other companies cover this with one piece so it looks more cohesive.

While our designer was amazing the execution and building process was terrible. We were having several areas done in our new house. We narrowed it down to Closet factory and Closets by Design. Although Closet Factory was a little more expensive I decided to go with them for our huge master closet and use Closets by Design for other closet and office because I loved the closet factory designer. Closet factory took longer to set up installation, once here they had ordered the wrong materials for a couple items, used our garage as a work station and left sawdust all over our belongings and the final product is lacking. We paid over $15k for the master closet and shouldn't have these bandaid type fixes. It appears they messed up the measurements and instead and correcting it tried to patch. This is also after several trips by the manager out to our property to try to resolve. While this seems nice it was a huge inconvenience as we both work. While the customer service was great at first, they took our final payment without authorization and wouldn't respond to me after I complained about the overall finished product and timeline. DO NOT USE THEM!! Closets by Design is quicker, less expensive and looks better.

Love my new walk in closet. Karen did a great job with the design. Lots of storage.

Primary emphasis was a layout that could evolve over time and recapturing some floorspace. Start to finish was 3-4 weeks. This included tearing out popcorn ceiling, wiring in ~11 new recessed lights, new flooring, new kitchenette, small updates to a guest bathroom, painting all the things (including a chalkboard 1/3 wall) and a redesigned fascia for our fireplace. It also included a "secret room" for the kiddo that Quinn took on as a personal project, as we've been juggling complex medical issues for a few years. Needless to say that resulted in a lot of smiles and it has been getting a ton of use. The plywood in the secret room is 3/4" and we plan to add some rock climbing grips to it in the future. Pearl and Monica were easy to communicate with and any issues (ex: some painting needed to be revisited) were handled promptly. They were very flexible with pricing and really went out of their way to make this work for us. I'm deeply appreciative of the work they did for our child and the flexibility they demonstrated with some of my last-minute design tweaks. This is an easy recommend from me.

But once we scheduled the appointment with CKB, lots of other projects popped up with our old, new house: knocking pipes when the hot water is on, an old fireplace mantle with water damage behind it, a wall-mounted tv that the previous owners stuck right into flammable insulation. But it didn't matter! Quinn, Cherie, and Carlos completed our whole list within ONE WEEK and within our budget. The team painted everything from ceilings to baseboards and covered up the previous yellow and navy blue paint! They completely replaced the damaged drywall behind our brick fireplace and installed a new electrical outlet for the wall mounted tv, in addition to adding fireproof insulation! And they fixed our knocking pipes by cutting into our walls and spray foaming around the culprits. Totally professional and on time every day. It was great! Can't wait to have them back to renovate our old bathrooms.

REVIEW FOR YELP DREAM DESIGN…read more The Dream Design Construction Team was Awesome! We wanted to remove the wall between the dinning room and kitchen to open up the space. We researched many, and obtained quotes from three contractors, one less expensive and one more expensive. Luckily, we decided on Dream Design Construction. Design We had a specific (non-conventional) design in mind, i.e. not the typical big island layout. Additionally, we wanted to add a full bath, a custom pantry, barn doors, and new kitchen windows, flooring etc. We stopped by Dream Design Construction and Yong engineered the design we envisioned that day! Allowing us to see it in 3D. He included things we had not thought of like a pot filler, and coffee bar area. The customized outcome is beautiful. Yong came out and took measurements to finalized the design plan. The Design becomes the Blue Print - - Note: Make sure when you sign the contract that you Know which cabinets will have drawers/ no drawers, pull outs, glass doors etc. or a change order may be required. Contract Their contract was very straight forward which helped us to sign quickly. It stated the price and allowances, installation, demo etc. Yong stated his goal is to ensure 100% customer satisfaction, and he honorably did so. Demo After emptying and packing up the kitchen - Demo was quick! The Team put up plastic zipper walls to cordon off the family room, foyer etc. to limit the amount of dust in other rooms, as well as covering vents. The wall between the dining room and kitchen came down! Mr. Nam was great . The team was here by 8 each day and made sure everything was put away each day and left it as tidy as possible. Construction The build out began and the first inspection was passed. I believe Mr. Nam was key to the success - following Yong Yi's drawing/plans Jose did a great job painting, especially the stove hood/vent - just beautiful. Tile Work is extremely beautiful both kitchen and bathroom. Mr. Nam worked hard in so many areas, requesting input for location of cabinet hardware and providing guidance for light switch locations etc. Mr. Lee framed the windows beautifully, and thankfully Bruce encouraged me to include multiple pendant chandeliers which look absolutely beautiful. Mr. Yong was Very easy to work with and assigned Mr. Kim to perform all the "Finishes" ensuring a perfect result. Final Walk thru/Result Inspection #2 The final walk-through and Inspection were flawless with 100% satisfaction! Just when you are tired of construction...you're done! The remodel was completed AHEAD of schedule, including our last-minute alternatives. BOTTOM LINE: EVERYTHING turned out impeccably beautiful! Dream Design was very accommodating with change items that did not affect the Design footprint-like adding an outlet and moldings for wine fridge, as well as barn doors. They were just so easy to work with.

Horrible customer service and products. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY…read more We ordered very large master bathroom vanity cabinets from Rick in the Chantilly VA location Nov 2022, the cabinets were delivered on time, early Jan 2023. First, the delivery company was very unprofessional and rude. They proceeded to tell me that Cabinet Discounters should have told me that they will only leave them in the garage, which I said I was never told that and it's winter and I do not want them to warp. They ended up leaving the cabinets in the middle of my dining room...6 extremely large boxes. My contractor attempted to install them a few days later and notice one of the doors was not the same design as the rest of the doors. We also noticed a drawer was broken and several panels were warped and not able to align. We called Rick, sent pictures and he ordered the "correct" panel (which when rec'd, was a different color, therefore we had to re-order again). After much back and forth with Rick and he telling me that we will have to pay for someone to come out and "fix" their issue, Rick then came out to our house to see if he can align the cabinets and also to assess the issues. He confirmed there were major issues with the panels and that the doors were warped, etc. Rick took pictures and was supposed to write up what he observed and what was being orders so that we knew what deliveries to expect. We never rec'd a write up from Rick... we then proceeded with in the next few weeks to get 3 additional shipments of panels that were ordered. Again, when we received the additional panels, one broken (which again we had to have another replacement). Once ALL replacement doors were recd, we had our contractor come back (additional cost to us) to attempt to reinstall the 6 panels. Our contractor noticed some of the "new" panels are longer than other, some are wider than others, and again some appear to be warped since they cannot close flush. Again, he was unable to be aligned some cabinets. We have sent emails, made phone calls, Rick has told us that the manufacture is going to call us back, #homecrest and we haven't heard from anyone. It's been over two months now that we have had cabinets installed (without panels), over half of the panels are sitting in my hallway, paid in FULL, paid our contractor additional money in an attempt to "reinstall" the cabinets two separate times. We have had a master bath completely renovated and been waiting two months to be able to use our cabinets. This is horrible customer service, horrible products. They haven't acknowledged the time, money and inconvenience this has caused. They have completely gone silent.
