After a quick Yelp search, we came across Elite Custom Cabinetry and Fidel was able to see what was already done and listened to what I wanted to do. He quickly understood what was needed, listened for any design input, even provided some options with regards to trim styles to be installed in between each bookcase. On the day of installation, just a few hours went by and the crown molding, various pieces of trim, and nearly perfectly matching baseboards were installed. Lots of little bits here and there were considered to truely give the appearance of a built-in library. The work was perfect, especially given where the starting line was. BACKGROUND: We wanted bookshelves installed above a built-in cabinet unit in our living room. I sent Jitendra a sketch and described what we wanted. From my chicken-scratch sketch, he created a design and mock-up, then measured our space. While measuring, he flagged all existing flaws in the space (uneven/slanted walls) so that we were aware of all inconsistencies upfront. He has amazing attention to detail! RESULTS: We were simply blown away by how well he was able to match the custom shelves to our existing unit; all of the wood looks like it was manufactured at the same time! It truly looks like it was all constructed as one piece from the very beginning, which is exactly what we wanted. We are very pleased with the shelving units the Closet Crafters installed in our garage. The…read moredesigner, Erica, came to our house first to validate my own measurements plus to discuss a few quirks of the install. Specifically that we needed to cabinet doors to not open into the car parked next to them. We also wanted the cabinets as deep as possible so getting the calculations just right was critical. As we'd walk by the doors when getting out of the car, we were happy to learn Closet Crafters provided extruded handles which can be seen in the attached photos. These handles are slightly more expensive but fit flush against the cabinet fronts so no snagging of clothes. We also wanted pantry style drawers in one unit, which have half height drawer sides so you can more easily see what's inside. In addition, we wanted all the drawers to be of varying heights to allow for more drawers plus better organizing of tall/short items. Lastly we went with the pewter laminate which went great with the metallic epoxy coating on the garage floor. We were pleased with the price, quality of material/hinges and the professional designs plus installation. Would definitely work with Closet Crafters again.
