We are very pleased with the shelving units the Closet Crafters installed in our garage. The designer, Erica, came to our house first to validate my own measurements plus to discuss a few quirks of the install. Specifically that we needed to cabinet doors to not open into the car parked next to them. We also wanted the cabinets as deep as possible so getting the calculations just right was critical. As we'd walk by the doors when getting out of the car, we were happy to learn Closet Crafters provided extruded handles which can be seen in the attached photos. These handles are slightly more expensive but fit flush against the cabinet fronts so no snagging of clothes. We also wanted pantry style drawers in one unit, which have half height drawer sides so you can more easily see what's inside. In addition, we wanted all the drawers to be of varying heights to allow for more drawers plus better organizing of tall/short items. Lastly we went with the pewter laminate which went great with the metallic epoxy coating on the garage floor. We were pleased with the price, quality of material/hinges and the professional designs plus installation. Would definitely work with Closet Crafters again. read more

He took my ideas into consideration when coming up with his design, and gave me a 3D design the same night! After agreeing on the design (with modifications), they were able to schedule an install date within 3 weeks! The 2 guys who came to install were professional and quick, only took about 3 hours. I love the design! The drawers and shelves are high quality and I like how the shelves and rod are adjustable. Nothing but great things to say about our experience with Closet Crafters. They have a nice showroom to get ideas and check out the quality of their materials. We set up an appointment with a design to do an in home review of the closet space. They gave us 2 layouts and we liked one with some minor adjustments. I had a great experience with Closet Crafters working in a small space in a Senior community apartment. with less cost then three other closet companies they designed the space to maximize the hanging space. the design worked well for my clothes and my shoes and a ladder i used for scarves. so well crafted and measured that the fire regulations were all met. I have used closet crafters before (in 2006) and was extremely happy so went back to them for our rebuild from the Tubbs fire. They did the pantry for a fraction of what our cabinet makers wanted and they helped tweak my original design so it's much much better. They also did a huge mud room system and the master closet. After reading reviews we called for an estimate to help organize our walk in closet. The designer came out to measure and get a feel for what we were looking for. She was a very good listener and knew what we would need. After approving the design and cost, they ordered the materials and were ready for install soon after. Scheduled an in home consultation with Frank couple days later, he came on time, measured everything, showed me some samples, closet styles and material. About two days later Frank sent over the estimate and drawing of the layouts for my walk in closet, after comparing with the other two closet designers we decided to go with CC, not just because of the pricing, but I love the way they work, very efficient! On the day of installation, Ryan showed up on time, finished the install within the time promised and he was willing to wait for us to come home and inspect the installation since we were not home when he finished. I've used this company several times. As a new homeowner who bought a previously rented out house, not much had been done in the way of improvements. There were many "holes" upstairs and downstairs (The CC designer said these are called alcoves) that I wanted something built in. The designer came to my house and drew up some rough sketches about what he could do with both the upstairs and family areas and we liked it so much that we had him comeback and also do one for our master bedroom. The third time we went back that designer was not available but his colleague came over drew up a sketch for a built in closet in one of my other bedrooms. It should be noted though that the cost of this smaller project had gone up significantly since the last project because the cost of the materials(I.e., wood) had gone up since then (over a year ago). All the projects were completed in a day and they left my house as clean as it was when they came. Overall we are very impressed with the work and the experience and we would use them again in the future. read more

We recently completely remodeled our new home in Petaluma. At the recommendation of a friend who had used Closet Crafters, I called them. Frank, the owner, came to our home shortly after we closed last summer. He was very professional and extremely creative. We hired Frank to install a wonderful system in our garage. We were so happy with the results, after our remodel was nearly complete and we moved here from Mexico, we called Frank to proceed with the two guest bedrooms. We upgraded the color to antique white and added decorative fronts to the drawers, which made a huge difference. Our closets don't look like they came from one of the big box stores, but they look and feel custom. Closet Crafters also provide excellent hardware, which also make them look more custom. Whenever friends visit, they always ask which company installed our systems. We have passed Frank's name to so many friends, but I wanted to make sure that the viewers of Yelp can feel confident that they will receive the best pricing, quality, and customer service.
