It's been few months since our master closet installation and we are very happy. From start to finish the company was very professional and communicative. Shelli, our closet designer, came to our house and measured the space. Our master closet isn't huge but she was able to come up with a design that worked for us and she made adjustments based on our preference. In fact, once all was designed we came up with few more adjustments over the course of the week and Shelli accommodated us without issues and sent us new adjusted designs. We went to see the showroom to get an idea of the set up. From start to finish they did a fantastic job and the installers were great as well. Renuity Floor Coating dba Closet America started the project of covering my garage and front porch in 2025. A portion of the garage is the part completed. They're had months to finish the project. I can't reach them to get on the schedule. They'll have their billing office spam you weekly asking whether the project was completed. The home office apparently doesn't communicate with their billing team. Buyer beware! If the entire project can't get completed on that one day, then don't do it!! read more

Setting up the consultation, no problem. Sitting with the consultant and going over the design, no real problem there. The problem was the follow through post consultation and that's when i knew there would be be issues to come and I was correct. The reason why I'm giving this review three stars is because the installers were great...on time, professional and overall pleasant. However, once the install was done, I was very underwhelmed because I knew something was missing based on the consultation I'd had with the sales rep. My closet just look like oversized, cubbyholes, and metal rods. During the meeting, the sales rep put on a performance about how great snd amazing the end result was going to be and I'm going to be pleasantly pleased, based on some of the add-ons that she suggested and in the end, it was none of that. It gave BLAH! They actually forgot to put some of those, I guess you would call them embellishments in the initial install so they had to come back literally three weeks later which took forever to get to a resolve. Now I am a realist. I know that my closet is not huge and I know that my house is older but the amount of creativity that comes out of this company is minimal at best. I am refraining from using names because at the end of the day I'm not into smearing anybody's professional reputation, but I do believe in telling my complete truth. Measurements were on point and deadlines were strictly adhered to, there were absolutely no surprises or delays. The project took two days (because I have a walk-in and linen closet). First day, demo/mudding/sanding and painting. Second day was the installation. Both days the contractors called prior to and stuck to the 8am start time. Darius and Lamar performed both painting and installation (forgive me but there was a third gentlemen who did the painting whose name I can't recall). I can't speak highly enough of their professionalism, promptness, courteousness and industry knowledge. We got to choose from a great assortment of colors, textures, and patterns. The only hiccup in our process is when the main office called to confirm our scheduled date. I saw an ad for Closet America on my Facebook feed. I have heard of them before but have never used them before. I completed an online inquiry and someone reached out within 24 hours. The scheduling representative was accommodating to my schedule and was very clear on the expectations. She stated that both homeowners need to be present. I really appreciated the clarity. When Kory arrived he was personable. He started with asking to see the space and hearing our vision. Our entire experience with Closet America was seamless, informative, timely and the final product - just WOW! I literally did a Happy Dance in my new space, it was that gorgeous! I made a call on a Friday while cleaning out items for donations and just felt it was time. I needed the builders grade closets out of there and needing something to suit my style, the types of clothing and accessory options it would house (I love dresses, shoes and bags!) and of course, functionality. Blown away when we were able to secure an appointment with Katie the next day at 10am. We set aside 90-mins to meet with her and upon arrival we just clicked! She was beyond knowledgeable about the product and install, measured the space, my garments, etc. and then came up with a few options for us to review. She listened and boy did she deliver. After fine tuning some plans to suit my needs a bit more personally we found it - my perfect closet layout! She offered a variety of pricing options to suit what we were looking for in terms of decision time, removing current closet racks/shelving, product selection and so forth. All were fair and reasonable with a pretty decent variety to suit many budgets I am sure! She was never pushy to upsell or push for one vs another but let us do what we felt was right. Honestly, we were ready to go ASAP so that we did! Sold! Fast -forward three weeks to the Installation Date. Yippee!! Curtis the gent for the install was amazing! Also, don't worry, they won't let you forget what day and time as their team does follow-up often to keep all on track. Hats off to him as we live in like a 5-story walk up Townhome and he was all by himself. He moved all the pieces (so many pieces) with ease, no bumps on the walls and was mindful to never track in dirt. His work was on point! Cuts were clean to the wall, filled in the space between the unit and wall to make it have a beautiful finish and once done gave me a quick lesson on how to move that, switch this, lower this rod, etc. Oh - and he reminded me that the warranty is transferable to the NEXT HOMEOWNER! Wow, how great is that?!? I highly recommend this team as just the whole process was entirely stress free. When my husband and I bought our new house, we desired to hire a company to come redo our mud room, bulk pantry, and master bedroom closet. We looked through a bunch of companies and decided Closet America was the best option solely due to the quality product materials they use. When they first came out, they asked us our needs and looked at the spaces. We explained to them what we were looking for, and they measured the space as well as the inventory going in them. They then designed us a whole design and we made a few adjustments and scheduled a service. When I tell you that seeing the finished product is SO MUCH BETTER than I thought, just know I'm not lying. I have so much more space and storage. I like that all the shelves are super adjustable if I need to make any changes as well, and they are easy to adjust. The drawers are even soft close in the dresser system. And are built super sturdy. We even added hampers in the closet which are easy access. I'm so happy. I should have known there would be problems when I set up the consultation, but I wanted to follow through because of the great reviews I'd read. Marketing for this company is the worst I've had to deal with. First, when making my appointment, I was asked multiple times if I would be available for 90 minutes. I said yes at least five times to the same question. Then I was asked if I was the only homeowner and if my partner would be home -- very odd questions. When the designer arrived, we looked at the space, and I explained what I wanted. After that, we should have discussed design ideas and cost. Unfortunately, I was forced to sit through a presentation I said I did not need or want to hear. I indicated that I wasn't interested in the company information because I had already researched it through reviews and the website. Then I was quizzed about what I had learned about the company and told I had to understand what I was getting into. Nahh. Being available for an hour and a half would have been fine if the time was used productively, but not so much in this case. There was zero respect for my time or the fact I didn't want to be subjected to the presentation--a very unusual and forceful marketing strategy. The whole experience bordered on harassment, from setting up the appointment to the consultation. I realize management has a lot to do with how employees perform and approach customer service, but this was just shameful. SCAMMERS!! Just got off the phone with this company attempting to schedule a consultation and about 8 mins in to this call, I requested to cancel and did not move forward. The call was very odd and felt very shady and intrusive, which prompted me to look at the reviews here. It definitely gave sketchy car salesman or pyramid scheme vibes. Everything other people are saying is exactly my experience that I just had. She kept asking questions about who else lives in the house and what everyone's name is; despite me saying multiple times I was the only person they would be meeting with. It's my closet and I'm paying; but again insisted to find out information other people who live in the house. Overall, very inappropriate. No other closet companies I've spoken to have done this. EDIT: The manager's reply below confirms they are complete scammers. I cancelled the appointment I was setting because they wouldn't stop asking me the names of **husbands and children** that live in the house. Nobody asked me to verify home ownership. Reaching out to closet America was one the best decisions because the whole process while painless and thorough! They listened to our needs and were very professional and friendly. The technician installed the first drawer and shelf cabinet and the top was leaning towards the right. Also the cabinet was at least an inch from the wall and a half an inch from the window frame. When he corrected it there was an inch and a half gap from the wall and the other drawer cabinet was two inches off. This is not the custom job I paid for. It looked like something I could've purchased at IKEA. I had my closet reconfigured as well and they put the shelf so high above the door frame that I couldn't put anything on the top shelf. I started with Closet America because they are a local business. Heather Cooksey was our designer. She was thorough and detailed. She gave great advice. Lemar was our installer. He called before his scheduled arrival and was prompt. He got it done in half a day! The pricing was far more affordable than expected and ultimately cheaper than I was looking at on Wayfair/IKEA. I got two new bedroom closets remodeled by Closet America, both were flimsy standard white wire closet systems. One was a small reach-in and the other was a small walk in. The designer was friendly and understanding of my storage needs and the installer was professional and friendly as well. Two things I'd change: they should never smoke before entering a customer's home unaware of allergies and asthma and I wish they would have given some type of discount for getting two closets done by them. Other than that the quality so far is good and they look great. Depending on how much it would cost I might get one more done in the basement to organize the clutter in the storage room. read more

BAIT AND SWITCH People make mistakes; I do it dozens of times a day. But after Closet America's in-home estimator "made a mistake" and quoted me $2,383 to build an entertainment wall on September 11th and then followed up on September 12 saying "oopsie" and that the actual cost would be $4,924, it's hard not to think BAIT AND SWITCH. I'll avoid the details because all that matters is Closet America didn't back up its written quote (see image below w/names removed). I reached out to the in-home estimator and then to the actual company, eventually speaking with someone higher up. He acknowledged the estimator's error and even the extreme degree of her error. He told me on September 16th that he'd get back the next day with a revised quote and offering an employee discount. I had to text him twice (kudos to him for giving me his cell), but eventually got a response on Sept. 22nd saying that the best he could do is $4,000, not even halving the difference between the signed quote and the latter quote. It's almost irrelevant that for $4,000 I can have a cabinet maker custom design, build, and install something to my specifications that's made out of real wood and isn't filled with compromises. The point is this: Closet America's website says: "We back up our promise with industry-leading guarantees, including our transferable double lifetime guarantee." Uh, you didn't even back up your written quote. If they treat people like this in the sales process, how well will they treat you as an actual customer? read more

I have used Closet America 3 times previously with success. When I decided that I wanted to add a Murphy bed in one of our rooms I didn't hesitate to reach out to Closet America. Before I wasted anyone's time I was curious as to the ballpark cost of what one would be. To be efficient, I called their office for some guidance and after being transferred for the 3rd time I was informed that they couldn't quote a price range and that a salesperson would call me within 48 hours. I never received a phone call but I did receive a text message starting that we could discuss my new pantry the modern way and send text messages. I was put off by that but ok, I can send text messages. I explained to her that they had already installed a pantry for me and that I was interested in the price range for a murphy bed. I reiterated that I know that every project is different but I wanted to know are they approximately $10,000, $20,000, or hopefully less. She texted me that she couldn't answer that without setting up an appointment to come to my house. She then sent me the link to set up an appointment. Somewhere along the line I asked if I could even be informed of the lowest price bed they had installed verses the highest price one? I never heard from her again. The following week someone called me from the office and I explained the situation again requesting a price range. She wouldn't discuss price at all so I told her I wasn't interested in wasting 90 minutes of my time and a salesperson's time just to find out that my budget was incompatible with the true cost of a murphy bed. I told her that I would have to move on to another company which meant nothing to her. I totally understand the sales process and that it is difficult to quote a price on a custom project. Plus it's easier to close the sale when you have a customer who is now invested in the dream that you have just presented. All I really wanted to know was if $10,000 was a sufficient budget for them to work with. Being so stringent has cost them a customer since I will no longer be using their company and unfortunately I wouldn't recommend them anymore which saddens me because Closet America does provide a quality product. read more

Closet America came out to do a free assessment, which we had wanting to do for a while, so figured we would get a cost estimate. My wife and I had a figure in mind for what we knew we wanted done. After taking measurements and asking what we were wanting Michael showed us renderings of what it could look like when finished. When we saw what it looked like we thought it would be a lot more than our budget, but when he gave us a quote it was so far under our expectations that it made the decision really easy. She put me in contact with the representative she worked with (Molly) and we scheduled a consultation. Molly was amazing and knowledgeable about the product and the process. I was sold and scheduled install for a month out, but had the company call to move up the install date by two weeks, which I was thrilled about. The install team that showed up were professional and took great care to do the install properly. Once the installation was complete, I was told that they had received the wrong rod holders and one of the shelves was the wrong type. I was told they would need to ship me the items to be installed and that someone from Closet America would reach out to arrange it. When I got the call, the representative insisted that another person come out and do the work vice having me do it myself, which happened. While the people were friendly they did not follow through on what they promised and took five calls and emails to respond to me despite every time being told I was at the top of the list and they would ensure a call back immediately. I felt like I was being gas lit by customer service- consistently promised one thing while it was never delivered. Despite multiple apologies and assurances they'd answer any questions during set up (after I finally got through to ask my questions) when I called to ask a question twice during set up - no one answered.
