But now I can also vouch for Amy's when things go wrong! I purchased a fairly high-end Janome machine from Amy's, and the day after I got it home, an important component broke. I was devastated, but when I returned to the store I was immediately assured that the machine would be repaired or replaced. Within a week, I received a call to come pick up a new machine. Amy said that she felt that I, as a consumer, might worry that something else was wrong if they did a repair, so they worked with Janome to simply replace the machine. I might have expected to be treated as an inconvenience, or been sent home with an iffy product. Instead, I was even offered a gift card to compensate me for the inconvenience of having to wait! That is what is meant by exceeding customer expectations. Imagine what my experience would have been if I had purchased my machine on line! Nothing can compare to working with a good dealer. And Amy's is, simply, the best.

They also were unfamiliar with specifics on other lines of fabric in the store- aka "Do you have any other fabrics with this bolt? Is this fat quarter available on a bolt so I can buy a yard or two?" There is a wide selection of fabric panels. They have a huge classroom space and several models of sewing machines and long arm quilt machines setup. It was a nice store but there are a lot better options out there price and selection wise both in person and online.

I think this company caters to group orders such as baseball teams, etc. Although I am a repeat individual customer, today they gave me my item back and the letters were crooked. I told them the item (a 100% Egyptian Cotton hand towel from JCPenney) was paid for using a $10.00 gift card and $3.34 in cash. After much back and forth, I told them I just wanted my money back. I spoke with the "Owner" and she would only reimburse me $3.34 for the towel and 75% of the price I paid for the embroidery. So, I am out a $10.00 gift card from JCPenney and $2.50 in embroidery. My advice is to go to the Crafty Shack in Harrison City rather than Log Cabin Embroidery as the latter only cares about bulk order customers at this point in time.

The store is very clean (the owner started to scrub out the foot bath as soon as my pedicure was finished) and the staff is cheery and willing to talk as much or as little as you want. They have a huge selection of items to paint and prices and pieces range from around $8 to up to $80. You pick your piece and paint colors and then go to work. To get the true color you need three coats, so it can tale awhile. But it is a really fun experience and the staff is really helpful. They fire your piece and you come back to pick it up in a week or two. Great for something to do with the kids, a date, time with friends or even a fun solo activity.
