I don't mean some Pittsburgh themed shirt that you can find on any shelf, but local shops that specialize in tees that are made just for their shop. I love finding a shirt that gets people talking and of course the compliments that come with them. One day recently when I had time to walk the streets of Oakland I made sure that I made a stop here. I knew of this place in only that it existed. I also knew that this place dealt with creating and producing designs if you are in need of that. But I was not here for that. I walked in and it is a rather small place for shopping, but that's not what this place is designed to do. They are basically here to serve you with your needs. There are two desks as you walk in that have people sitting at to help you through the process of designing you soon to be one of a kind shirt. Along with that there are a few wall racks and floor racks with shirts specifically designed for Pitt and Pittsburgh for purchase, that's what I was here for. I browsed the racks and had to make a tough decision. Their designs are great and I really wanted more than one but I was refraining because I know that I go overboard when it comes to tees. The pricing is the norm and quite honestly you are able to find a steal of a deal here. I walked out with a shirt that asks, "Yinz want fries on that?" How perfect is that for a Pittsburgh novelty shirt? Accurate.

That's what ordering a last minute gift for my boss at a new job after hearing that he and he wife will be taking the staff to a holiday luncheon next week. I've only been with their firm a couple of weeks but I really like my boss and I wanted to bring something thoughtful with me, since it was hinted that they give their employees something, in addition to taking us out. The subtle hint that he likes IPAs and she likes sauvingnon blanc was enough to get me thinking and exploring online on a Wednesday night around 11:45 p.m. InkPixi popped up and I saw exactly what I wanted to order, with a message saying if I ordered by 11:59 p.m., it would ship by... omg! I had no time!! Stressed all of a sudden, I placed an order for two personalized stemless wine glasses, one with an IPA theme and one with a wine theme; both with their last name. Literally at 11:59 p.m. my order was confirmed. I paid extra for the express shipping, and it estimated a few business days. Would that be enough time? Did I just waste money to ship something that wouldn't arrive in time? I explored the site a little longer just for fun, and then saw they have pint glasses for the same price, so I sheepishly wrote a quick email in reply to my confirmation, not even checking to see if it was an auto-generated message, and asked to switch his wine glass to the pint one, keeping the same design, and to bill me for any additional charges associated. By the time I woke up Thursday morning I had a reply saying they had made the change, but couldn't guarantee a delivery date. Understandable, especially during the holiday season. But, loandbehold, not even 50 hours later I checked the order status, and my order is scheduled to be delivered here in CA, from PA(!!) sometime today. I would have been stoked to see an expected Monday delivery but this is unreal. The turn-around is so freaking fast! Now I just need to grab a Stone EnjoyBy and a bottle of Kim Crawford to go with the glasses, and a bottle of something bubbly for me to enjoy this weekend while I get to relax without the worry of showing up to the party empty-handed.

They utilize something called Shop by Shopify, which I had never heard of. Why do I call it an ILLEGAL SCAM? Because AFTER you place your order, you are informed that your data has been saved by Shopify. Not BEFORE, never with your permission, and never with your consent. I wrote both InkPixi and Shopify, complaining about this blatant invasion of my privacy. Both replies said that to avoid this, I should check out as guest, as only account holders have information saved. A blatant LIE! I did check out as a guest, I do NOT have an account with InkPixi! InkPixi's response did include a link to have my data removed, but that will take about 30-days, when it should have never been saved in the first place. Again, this is NOT a review of the products of InkPixi, which are of excellent quality. This is a review of what I consider to be an ILLEGAL SCAM of a business practice.

I sent several screen printing companies in the area a request for a quote of approximately what I needed. KSW not only got back to me the fastest, but they also gave me the most information, most professional quote, and were the most polite plus they had a great price. I was a big pain in the butt asking for 6 different quotes changing amounts and types and styles. Garrett was fantastic keeping all my information in order and trying his best to find me exactly what I wanted. After putzing around getting my boss to finalize a decision I signed my quote and off it went. 3 or 4 days later I realized that I had made a mistake and needed something different than the quote said and I called them about it. They were very understanding and were able to fix my order and still get it to me on time. The work is fantastic, I will always be getting my screen printing and embroidery with KSW. I have ordered again from them and plan to do so in the future.

The first time I ordered, I needed a hoody created literally; same day. I had uploaded my design and my custom order was prepared with art on the front and back of a black hoody with color. Once your design is ready, you provide your current location and they search for the nearest t-shirt print shop to fulfill the order. For me, it was 26 minutes away, and no big deal. The second time I ordered really upset me. I was super excited to attend Game 4 of the NDLS Mets vs Phillies at Citi Field in Queens. I was at work already 2 hours away, and later headed to pick up my cousin at the half-way point Elizabeth, NJ. I uploaded my design and chose Elizabeth, NJ for my pick up location. I placed the order the day before late in the evening and had confirmation it would be ready by 11:30 "from" Elizabeth. Notice the "from"? "From" is significantly different that the word "in". I also didn't pay for any expedited service which they can do if you need something printed A$AP Rocky. Anyway, I got an email the following morning at about 9 something saying my order is available for pick up in Washington, NJ! Another 1hr from Elizabeth, NJ. I contacted them and a customer service agent offered to deliver it from Washington, NJ directly to me in Lakewood for $80! I kindly reminded the support agent that I didn't ask for it to be printed in Washington, NJ AND why am I paying for the delivery. She then tried to offer a 10% discount on the delivery. You can't make this sh*t up! After losing my patience entirely and getting no where with the agent, I escalated it to a refund. Still, nothing was easy. They only offered a partial refund with delivery of the hoody 7 days later. If I haven't already expressed my discontent that I needed the hoody that day, I was so livid. Anyway, it was a helluva game, and I never received a refund and still nice enough to give it 4 stars. Just be mindful of everything I told you if you ever use them to make a design or upload your own.
