I'm always up for an amazing local novelty tee. I will search out just about anywhere I can to grab one. I don't mean some Pittsburgh themed shirt that you can find on any shelf, but local shops that specialize in tees that are made just for their shop. I love finding a shirt that gets people talking and of course the compliments that come with them. One day recently when I had time to walk the streets of Oakland I made sure that I made a stop here. I knew of this place in only that it existed. I also knew that this place dealt with creating and producing designs if you are in need of that. But I was not here for that. I walked in and it is a rather small place for shopping, but that's not what this place is designed to do. They are basically here to serve you with your needs. There are two desks as you walk in that have people sitting at to help you through the process of designing you soon to be one of a kind shirt. Along with that there are a few wall racks and floor racks with shirts specifically designed for Pitt and Pittsburgh for purchase, that's what I was here for. I browsed the racks and had to make a tough decision. Their designs are great and I really wanted more than one but I was refraining because I know that I go overboard when it comes to tees. The pricing is the norm and quite honestly you are able to find a steal of a deal here. I walked out with a shirt that asks, "Yinz want fries on that?" I needed to order team shirts for a 5K race my workplace was running in, but I was leery about ordering shirts online. However the design engine on UGP's website was super easy (and actually really fun) to use and they had TONS of great looking designs loaded that were all customizable. I compared prices amongst four online printing places and UGP came out as the least expensive, and their designs were better than the competition. When it came time to actually order, I worked with Jenn Schneider and she was awesome. She made sure everything was perfect before printing, and communication with her was incredibly prompt. AND my order actually arrived a whole week early!! I cannot recommend UGP enough. I worked with Ella Wortman to create PittMed sweatshirts as a fundraiser for a student group. She went above and beyond and WANTED to help me and make sure my student group had the best experience. Thanks to her help, we were able to raise $2800 in net profits to fund medical school activities and sponsor community service events. I had a design pretty much ready and I tried (unsuccessfully) for months before to get this done with another vendor (Chas, the tent across the Cathedral of Learning). As soon as I started working with Ella from UGP, I was off to the races. I first got a few samples to perfect everything from the print color, design proportions, and placement. I paid for each sample as individual orders, and they came out to be $37 a pop. I am a nitpicker, and I had some concerns with some of the initial print colors/quality. UGP reprinted those and even accommodated for adjustments with proportions/placement. I even brought in the samples and talked about them with Ella through email, phone, and in person. She provided very helpful expert insight. UGP accommodated for my perfectionist, nit-picking tendencies at a minimal cost, and I ended up with the perfect design for the final sale order. They were not obligated to be this accommodating, and it speaks volumes to their service and professionalism. Ella provided me with updated quotes (including Pitt royalties/fees!) throughout the entire process of designing and collecting orders, and has been very transparent with the entire process. I ended up with an awesome wholesale price of $14.90 per sweatshirt for 213 sweatshirts. Order turnaround times are around 7 days after ordering, and includes an online artwork approval system. The final product had stellar print quality (far better than Chas across the Cathedral), and the sweatshirt product itself was nice (Gildan Heavy). There were a few sweatshirts that had minor smudges, and UGP replaced those for free and with expedited delivery. One sweatshirt even got stolen, and UGP replaced that for free as well. Our student group will be returning every year for our custom printing needs. UGP provides the best service and price, and they absolutely shine with their personal care and attitude. If you work with UGP, I definitely recommend working with Ella. read more

Two years in a row, I have done a sweatshirt order for my organization and only after I paid did they tell me that some of the sizes were not available in the product that I had already paid for.
