LONG TIME CUSTOMER THAT WILL NEVER GO BACK. Brought in a dress with hand painted designs (national costume) to be dry cleaned. I brought this to them before and it came out perfectly fine. Today (9/13/2023), we picked it up. Came home to discover that the hand painted part of the dress is totally erased/obliterated. My husband went back and told the lady about the obliteration of the design and asked for a refund. She said she does not know how to give a refund of $7. DO NOT BRING YOUR DELICATE ITEMS HERE. Nice little place that I go to for alterations and/or dry cleaning every now and then. This place is a local business where the only employee I've ever seen there after multiple visits is an older Korean lady with broken English. It's all good -- there's one language we do have in common -- cheap! The dry-cleaning could be cheaper, and you can find it about a mile away on Northwest Highway at CD-One Price Cleaners, but like the Korean lady said when I protested, "they're not a big shop like CD-One Price". The dry cleaning was good, and she put extra-starch like I like it. They do offer same day service too, although I've never been really in a rush to get my stanky clothes back the same day. I stumbled at this place as the location is near the Metra stop and they do alterations. She charges a decent price, although it seems like its different every time. Sometimes its $18, or times its $14, this time it was $12. I can't complain as long as its less than $20, this cheap Chinese guy is happy. Although her English could be better, she did listen (or act like she was listening) to what you wanted in terms of how you want things altered, and she explained as much as she can. Another perk to this place -- you can get your TV and VCR looked at as well. If there's anything missing about CD-One Price cleaners, its the fact I can't get my TV looked at while getting extra starch on my clothes! I'm being stupidly sarcastic, but yeah, they do offer TV fixing services. If you're not put off from the "mom-and-pop" vibes, or the broken English, definitely check this place out. read more

I took in two sets of draperies recently to have dry cleaned. One set was silk, the care tag indicated the fiber content and the cleaning method was dry clean only. I returned a week later and when I went to hang the silk curtains, Not only had the shine of the fabric gone away (which told me they had been WASHED not dry cleaned) and the panels, which used to hang slightly longer than the floor, had now shrunk over 6", with the fabric shrinking more than the lining, making the lining stick out. She offered to "fix" them by shortening the hem, which would not have resolved the problem because the had shrunk so badly; plus the fabric was already ruined. Several times I had to insist on my money back, which I did receive. If you are having shirts washed and pressed, this lady is probably fine to go to, but I will be finding another dry cleaners who knows to check care labels before handling customers' items. This is actually the second bad dry cleaners I have experienced in Mount Prospect. The other is the woman on Prospect Ave who over charges. My advice? Review your care tags before bringing to this shop and tell her what is required. She totally dropped the ball on this. read more

I waited almost one week to have my living room draperies cleaned. When I picked them up they were cleaned; however, they were not pressed. When I asked about this they insisted the draperies were pressed. Now I have to take them somewhere to be pressed since they are so wrinkled. read more

I was looking furor a new cleaners that also does shirt laundry following a recent job relocation/. I stopped in here a few months back and asked if they did wet wash. Of course they do! I've bee stopping by for the last several weeks and they do an excellent job on my shirts! Always crisp and clean! And I'm fairly certain they are hand ironed, as I don't see the usual dimples on my shirts from the steam press around the buttons. And I've had occasion to use their dry cleaning. Again, excellent service! And the prices are the best I've experienced in years! The lady behind the counter is very pleasant. we've discussed our dogs and we are able to communicate very well. read more

The owner is such a nice woman! I was in town for just a few days and needed a dress hemmed and pressed for my engagement photos. When she was deciding how much to hem she took her time showing me the different lengths and giving her opinion on what was best. She was able to get my dress back to very quickly. Amazing service. I was in Mt. Prospect from Los Angeles for a wedding. My wife and I had flown with my suit and her ball gown for our friends wedding which was the following day. My wife had a very nice gown which was extremely sensitive to wrinkles and had a really odd texture. They did an INCREDIBLE job and were SO friendly. We were panicked if we would get it back on time, but we dropped it off in the morning and she told us to come back in the evening. We came back and I was shocked by the prices. $12 for a full press? I thought she made a mistake. Her prices are SO low. I had to give her a $20 bill for having such low prices and great service. I couldn't recommend them more. Customer service at its best. Very nice people and know how to treat there customers. They do an awesome job with all my alterations and dry cleaning. I usually spend a fortune on my alterations at Nordstrom, but I gave them a shot and the results were just as good and finished much faster. I sometimes work pretty late so I just give them a call and they will wait for you until you get there. The location is perfect since its across the street from the Metra station. Not happy with this place. I brought a dress in for the hem to be lengthened... instead she raised the hem essentially ruining the design of the dress. She completely argued with me and said she would discount the charge - meanwhile the dress as far as I was concerned was ruined. We have been coming here for years. They drop off and pick up for us at our home. They are pleasant, accommodating and take good care of some of my very expensive pieces of clothing. Incredibly nice people; very upfront if there is a stain they can't take out, etc. Have used the for alterations as I always need my pants hemmed up - I don't even have to go in anymore - she knows my inseam by now.
