Ultimately, the job we agreed to with contract was not done to completion, in spite of the assistant's insistence that it was. The owner was not on the job EITHER day and this is important. While the crew came back to attempt to complete the original job ( we appreciated that!), the owner was not there. The result was that the job is currently STILL not what we agreed upon. The owner is not willing to return to finish it. Caveat emptor...just know that if the job is not done according to agreement, you will have trouble reaching the owner and it will not be made right. On the day of the job, Rudy and Marlin worked tirelessly for 3 1/2 hours and got a tremendous amount done - trimming multiple hedges and bushes, cutting back an almost dead lilac, power washing the patio (it looks as good as it did 15 years ago when it was installed), cleaning moss, etc. off the garage roof (hadn't been cleaned since I got the house 30+ years ago), cutting up and removing a fallen branch, and power washing a basketball backboard that I wasn't even sure could be reached.
