Poison ivy, invasive plants, uneven ground, and a yard built into a hill - all my nightmares I definitely was not going to be able to take care of myself. He came out quickly to take a look and gave me a quote at an amazing price considering all the gear I'd have to buy to even begin to think about doing it myself and never mind the time involved. He made sure I understood that he doesn't haul the yard waste away, but will bag it up for pickup with your regular service. We agreed to have him come out the day before my yard pickup so nothing would sit rotting for long. He arrived in the morning and worked hard until the heavy rain forced him to call it a day, but he was back the next morning to finish up and even re-bag the ones that got wet the previous day so the garbage pickup takes them. My husband and I are actually amazed at how much space the yard has now that it doesn't look like a jungle, and that Magaiver did this all himself. The yard is all cleared out for winter and will be much easier to work with come spring. Magaiver was on-time, polite, efficient, and a hard worker for sure. They have logical and flexible policies for pricing, and for letting the customer decide how much snow might be "too little" for them to come out. Not sure if they're suddenly out of business or what, but definitely cannot recommend at all. Update- we finally received a response from the owners, who cited an emergency with one of the crews and stated that, while they were still trying to catch up from yesterday, today's conditions would prevent them from servicing us today and for "the rest of the season." To summarize- we signed a seasonal contract with them, they not only didn't show up but also didn't communicate anything about an emergency or change in plans that would allow us to make other arrangements, then canceled our service. The price is very reasonable and flexible compared to what we had for the last year. Always shows up in time and the removal is professionally done. I will definitely recommend Bento to my friends and neighbors. One thing could be improved is communication. Even though Bento did show up everytime for the past season, it will be nice to get some notifications like when the team starts routing, when they might show up or will they do a de-ice etc.
