Stopped by this location on tax free weekend. Big mistake...what a mess! I don't think it's normally like this but avoid this place on tax free weekend unless you really need the tax savings. Parking was a nightmare Lines were crazy in some stores. And the stores were rampaged... the restrooms were filthy as hell. Don't compare it to the other premium outlets... it's small and lacks most big brands.. tanger outlets is a better choice and better deals. I won't be coming back here ever again. We usually take a ride to Clinton 2 or 3 times a year. There are a lot of good stores here, some of which have notable kids departments...Gap and Polo Ralph Lauren are two that cater to children. Like any outlet center it comes down to luck as it relates to inventory and sales. We usually have level of success and never leave empty handed. Food options are limited so get there early to shop and then grab a late lunch on the water in one of the nearby towns. read more

Dangerous place to shop. I had four shopping bags full in a span of 30 minutes. Great service at Harry and David. I got all the Moose Munch and Hazelnut Praline coffee I could carry. The smell of chocolate and coffee in the shop is intoxicating 9W happened to be having a sale. Every shoe on side wall $25 and the back wall priced at $10. It took all my control to keep it to only four pairs. The Cosmetics Co. was stocked with fifty different clutches, makeup bags, purses stuffed with samples, priced at $10 and $15. These were the nifty "free gift" jobbers that you get when you drop a certain amount at the makeup counter, but available here for reasonable sum. How many times have you dug into your handbag to buy an eyeliner or lipstick to get that "free gift" from Lancome or Clinique? I was compelled to picked up about nine of these. Good thing I only had a short time to shop or it would have gotten ugly. read more

Very pleasant afternoon strollling around the outlet stores. Memorial Day sales everywhere. Most of the stores had racks of merchandise out front with signs declaring 40% off, 60% off, etc. Except when the price starts way up in the stratosphere, not even 60% off does it for me. The grounds are gorgeous, the atmosphere is enjoyable, the selection is very broad. There's a lot of things to like about Clinton Crossing. Not too many places have a Bose store - but Clinton Crossing does. Great place to shop, or walk, or people watch. read more

I came to Clinton Crossing looking for the crocs store, as I have been in dire need of some new crocs and wanted some bright pink ones, so I figured of all places, this would be the one. Struck out on the bright pink crocs, but scored some new black ones. I like clinton crossing, the stores are pretty neat, rarely picked over, and there is almost always a sale at most of the stores. Every time I've come here, however, there has been some sort of family dispute that I've had to witness, which always ruins my trip and experience. Getting to this place is relatively easy, parking is plenty, and its pretty much a straight line with stores on either side. Check it out if you're looking for good sales! read more

Stores are usually top end....not many to choose from. Went there specifically to check out the Club Monaco outlet store. It had great stuff, but most of the pants were Slim Fit, which are great looking, but my calves are too developed for that cut...(should stop working out those legs on the elliptic and treadmill....LOL) I ended up getting great buys at the Calvin Klein and Banana Republic stores....many items were 40-50% off lowest price on the tag...and...I had a 15% off coupon on top of that.... A good tip......if you are a AAA member or sign up for on their website, you have access to a VIP booklet that gives you 15% off extra at many stores if you purchase at least a certain amount (could be $75, $100, etc). Not many choices to eat, just a Cafe and two kiosks....no large food court nor large restaurants nearby. read more

Don't go here during the pandemic especially during the weekend! It's so packed and crazy. The individual stores are doing their best and limiting customers into the stores, but there's just people everywhere and most aren't following pandemic guidelines. And the grounds are just not well kept and everything is overgrown with weeds and if not for the crowds the whole grounds would look deserted. Go somewhere else like the beach. Only come here if it's early morning or a weekday. read more

There's not much to say, but they have soooo many good stores here that I rarely go to Westbrook anymore, because everything I need is here. I've been to Foxwoods too, and this is still my spot! Especially since the Lucky Brand outlet arrived (which was awhile ago, not like it was this year or anything) which carries long/tall sizes, I can't ask for anything more! Now if you're looking for an Ugg outlet, this isn't your spot, but since I don't own a pair and that's not my thing there is nothing missing here! I used to go to Westbrook for Loft for work clothes, but now that Ann Taylor outlet is here that drive to Westbrook for one store isn't even necessary. Now there are food trucks and vendors selling kettle corn and roasted nuts, you no longer have to starve like a decade ago here. More restaurants have even opened nearby, so they have everything you need in the area. There always seem to be sales and it's great to be able to try stuff on and really shop when you're in the mood, it's just kit the same as online which so many turn to nowadays. I was sad when I just noticed that the Bose outlet was gone, but if it wasn't doing well I don't blame them. I'll return, several times a year. Well worth the 45 minute drive for me. read more

Don't bother going right now if you need to try on clothes. I'm not one to just purchase clothes without trying on so for me this completely ruined my shopping day, or atleast post something on the door so when you gather handful of clothes you don't have to put them all back. Many stores aren't open and few good food options for eating while shopping. Expect lines out the door due to fill capacity especially at Nike. Every time we have gone there is a long line outside. Not a very diverse outlet with sales and shops. I came here while going to MA, and decided to stop in to see what deals I could get my hands on. The outlet itself looks big in the outside, but it's smaller in the inside. It has a nice interior, and a crossing area to go to other outlets. The shops are essentially spread out in summary. As I went from store to store I found little to no sales there, the only thing I got was a pair of sunglasses which were sadly stolen after I laid them down by my side for a short amount of time. Every store there had friendly workers, but the sales weren't too great. There was your normal brand stored and a book store which was cool. However, I didn't come off as great as I had expected. Many people usually come to enjoy the atmosphere around the outlet and simply lounge a little in the outside. The outlet itself isn't all that, but I mean for a walk or so it's good. This is a fun place to shop but I found I liked it best the first time I went when it was a novelty. It's still fun but you have to be in the right mood. It is gigantic. It is very easy to get lost here. There are stores everywhere and it almost feels to big at times. And while it is fun to shop here, it can get crowded and many of the stores are on the pricey side so that takes some of the fun out of it. This is really a place you should make a day of or at least be prepared to spend a significant portion of time. One thing that is a positive is there are plenty of places to rest or to grab some food. And not just meals, they have snacks all over the place. Look for the doughnut vendor who sells apple cider donuts. They are the best. read more

The sale associates was very helpful , everyone were very nice but not until we went to get checked out , not sure what was the cashier problem , she didn't have the right attitude to be a cashier at all , I felt like we were bother her value time , uncaring, she has a bad attitude to be a cashier and we weren't please to be a repeat customer. read more

Small outlet, which I kind of liked! My fave was the Cole Haan store since their shoes are so comfy!! I got some magenta heels and silver flats. Both were half off, and there was an additional buy 1, get 1 half off for the entire store. What else-Lindt chocolate seemed like it really had no extra deals compared to the general store. read more

Wide selection of stores. Not as good as you'd expect though. There are a couple downsides to this outlet mall that I should mention. Firstly, it's absolutely freezing in the winter!! Holy wind tunnel in the main walkway! I'd also note that while the selection of stores can be exciting, be prepared for a thorough search to find the deals you're dreaming of. It's a time consuming endeavor that one should be mentally and physically prepared for. The layout of the complex is not ideal, especially when visiting in low temperatures. Main stores like Nike and Adidas are "yonder" - across a walkway and parking lot from the main stretch of stores. Lastly, I would also like to note, that at some high end stores, the customer service was sub-par at best. I was ready to invest some serious money in a handbag at one store, but was discouraged by the absolute lack of acknowledgement. I'd rather give my business to Amazon. read more

We visited this place on a cold Saturday afternoon and I was surprised to find quite a few things to buy. Indeed, there's a limited number of stores but nevertheless you can find very good deals. They even have a Yankee Candle store which is one of my favorite places to visit. The parking lot is huge and I doubt parking is ever a problem. I will definitely come back in the summer. read more

The outlets here offer a lot of name brand stores. It's nice that this is an outdoor facility, so that you can enjoy the sunshine on a nice day, and the sidewalks are covered in case of rain. I was very sad to see the Ecco store was no longer there, and would like to see a little more diversity in the shop selection. A good court or a couple of different refreshment options would be nice, as there is just one small, crowded coffee shop. The sidewalks could be kept cleaner, there is often small amounts or litter or spilled drinks. read more

I've been shopping at this mall since it opened in the fall of 1996. Many stores have come and go, but what has not changed is that I still love shopping at Clinton Crossing, which is incredible since I did work at a store (now closed) there for over six years. To really maximize the savings, you need to do the following: 1) Print coupons from their website: www.premiumoutlets.com. There are coupons exclusively online. 2) Bring your AAA card, if you have one. Many stores give you a discount if you simply show your card. Discounts vary. 3) Stop at the management office to pick up a coupon booklet. Sometimes stores will drop off their coupons to lure shoppers in. 4) Sign up for the stores' promotional blasts. For instance, I have gotten a five dollar off any purchase coupon from Bass outlet. Jockey has e-mailed me coupons for a free panty. Stores worth stopping at: 1) Kate Spade 2) Banana Republic (they have a petite section, but you'll have to wait in line) 3) Cole Haan 4) Calvin Klein (no petites, but the merchandising there is impeccable) 5) Bass outlets (make sure you bring your coupons!) 6) Brooks Brothers Stores to skip: 1) J.Crew (it's a fire trap there and the employees are snobs; go to Westbrook location) 2) Coach (you'll die when you are trapped in an estrogen-filled room) 3) Sax Fifth Avenue 4) Dress Barn Thought the stores don't stack up to other outlets like Woodbury or Wrentham, but more stores have move to Clinton Crossing. Excellent clothing/shoes outlet mall, but definately lacking in other types of stores. I like that there are some male accessible shops to keep us Y-chroms entertained, including the IZOD, Nike, Under Armour, Fossil and Sketcher's Stores. My wife loves J. Crew, Banana Republic and the Tommy Hilfiger locations. Savings are usually in the 15 to 30% range, but IZOD for instance was 50-60% off...I've got enough athletic wear for the next five years now. Ample parking, except during holiday shopping. Overall, very clean and organized well and nice to walk around in. There's not really any food choices AT the mall, which is a good thing, as we found The Log Cabin, just up Main St. a bit. Garbage outside are overflowing, birds fly into windows and are left on the sidewalks for full days. No one cares about the property, just about the $. An okay outlet mall. Was able to get some good items on sale. Most places were having deals such as Banana's sale items received an extra 30-40% off (scored there) as well as Kenneth Cole giving 30% off your entire purchase. Came on a week night around 6PM and the place was pretty empty which was nice because it wasn't crowded and I didn't have to fight for small sizes or wait for dressing rooms. There is a Barney's as well as Off 5th for those who want high end shopping and there is Gap, J. Crew, Nine West and athletic stores for those who want to to regular shopping. I'm comparing this place with the Woodbury Commons Premium outlets in NY so the place only gets 3 stars since it's okay in size and has somewhat of a variety. read more

True story, like most women, I love to shop. Therefore, how could I not like the opportunity to shop at many designer stores without paying big bucks?! The Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets are easy to access from the highway, close to the Connecticut shoreline and offer a pleasant shopping experience. I especially like going here because although there are a lot of great stores, it is not an overwhelming all day affair like some other outlets in New England (Wrentham). The only downside to going these outlets are the bathrooms. Everytime I go they completely gross me out. I am not sure if they are always dirty or need to be updated, but I definitely notice it everytime I go. Otherwise everything is great and I enjoy shopping here whether I am just heading into one store or stocking up for Christimas presents, it is always a good experience. read more

These outlets were terrific when they first opened. At that time, bargains were commonplace. I would often shop here instead of the mall. But things have changed for the worse and today many of the stores don't offer the steep discounts like they used to. They have become just additional channels to the franchises' regular retail channels. Plus, many retailers are deceptive and intentionally sell lesser quality stuff made specifically just for outlets (hello Banana Republic). Today it's not uncommon to find better deals at your local Macy's or Bloomingdales. Those places often have better prices and better quality. Plus, I don't know what it is, but the the rudeness-arrogant-weirdo factor has increased exponentially over the last several years. I suppose that should be of little surprise because New York and Jersey people literally pack the stores and sidewalks on the weekends. When I say literally, I mean literally. They peak during the summer months and they're really easy to spot out of the crowd. Therefore if you must go, I recommend going late on the weekdays. Smart bargains. This place is great - I've been to the Off 5th, Barney's, Ecco, Clark's, Gap and J Crew. All were well organized (for outlets with sales, very well organized!) and easy to use. First trip, I wanted brown sandals, I found brown sandals. Second trip, my shopping companion wanted shoes for work and pants, he found shoes for work, and pants. All at great prices - reduced to outlet price and then on sale on top of that. So it's not just bargains on impractical stuff in weird colors that nobody wants; if you are looking to buy something specific, you can actually go here and find it. Which is sometimes rare in outlet shopping. I've done a fair amount of bargain shopping - Woodbury (NY) and Franklin Mills (Philadelphia) are favorites, and I love TJ Maxx, Marshalls and, most of all Filene's Basement (the one in Pittsburgh is the best shopping there). But this place is an unexpected shopping delight. read more

The main reason I occasionally shop at the Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets is because I live in Clinton. It is convenient for me, as I have kids that play sports, and their is an Under Armour, a Nike, an Adidias, and other athletic stores. That being said, I really wish to convey that the prices are not much different than other stores. It is a common misconception. Clinton Crossing is pretty, inviting, and basic. In the spring and summer, it is a very nice place to shop. It would be even more inviting if there were more food options available to shoppers. One very positive point- as I live in town, it is nice that Clinton Crossing opens up to the kids for trick-or-treating at Halloween! read more

The highlights of this outlet mall are JCrew, Bannana, Ann Taylor and the Cosmetic Store. All of them have significantly outstanding deals. The downside to these outlets is the lack of available food. There is no foodcourt or nearby restaurants. There is a little coffee shop but it always seems closed. If you are going to spend the whole day there, bring a snack. That being said... the outlet mall is a tad on the small side so you are unlikely to spend the whole day there. read more

Going to Clinton Crossing is always a real treat for me. It's far from where I live, so I don't make the drive that often. I stopped in last week for the first time in the while, and I found some great deals. I like these outlets in particular because there are a lot of great stores to browse, and I appreciate the outlet prices for the more expensive brands. The outdoor walkways are nice and open, and really conducive to a day or evening of shopping. I got some things from Coach, Banana Republic, and Gap, went through some other stores, and left with that feeling you can only get from a successful day of retail therapy. At the end of my trip, I couldn't leave without hitting Fuzziwig's Candy Factory, which has all the best and most unique candy. When I was a kid, my mom would always promise me and my brother that we'd go to the candy store if we spent the day shopping with her. The candy is a little pricey, but a day at the outlets isn't complete without it. read more

Some of the stores are new (like the Express outlet which is actually pretty good) but the over all feel of these outlets is the same. It is VERY crowded and there isn't enough parking IMO. There still aren't any decent food options which sucks if you're going to be here for a bit. Stores were messy and things weren't that organized. This is a cute place to spend an afternoon shopping with the girls. There isn't too much for guys.. a nike, bose, puma, and some clothing places. they just added under armour. Girls, however, its an awesome place to get great deals on designer clothing and accessories. It's outdoors, so prepare for weather. There is only one cafe, nothing special.
