My daughter loves thrift shopping so when visiting New Haven she located this shop. The name alone caught my attention. When we entered was greeted by a very friendly female. The store was larger than it appeared from the entrance. It goes all the way to the back . I love how everything is sorted from sizes, to shoe area , to purses, jewelry. And a very nice size area with all antiques and nostalgic items. The prices were very reasonable. They even had a small fridge with bottled water for the customers. Which was awesome bc it was an extremely hot day. read more

The buisness put in some of their upper size inclusiveness with a variety of styles that I am able to repair my wardrobe with. The people who own the store are nice and provide a brilliant service torwards people. A bunch of odds and ends I get from this shop are a great source of quality, memoir, and art. read more

I FINALLY went here after wanting to forever and a day. The staff is super cool and friendly and punk rock and awesome. I bet there are some days you can score like crazy and other days you can't. The prices seem a little high, but I did get an amazing shirt for what I felt was a fair price for what it is and I love it a lot, plus there are cute little features like the treasure chest -- take one/leave one -- I took a bracelet that was calling my name, and went to my car and grabbed a treasure I found on one of my ootings (Spy X Family anime reference) and left it for someone else. (I find things a lot.) Definitely a place I want to check out every time I am in New Haven. Just good vibes, cool people, cool stuff. And I do get the price thing since they are not backed by billions (and are more reasonable than some Goodwills I have been in) and also have independnt art. Parking isn't the easiest and GPS (at least mine) kind of hates New Haven and will just yell "arrived!" before you see the destination. read more

WBT resulted when we searched for thrift stores in the area while vacationing at the beach in East Haven. Three generation of our family came in to check it out! My mom walks with a cane due to arthritis. She was easily able to enter and walk around! The ambiance and decor is eclectic and fun! The selection is fantastic! The entire store is clean, carefully curated, and welcoming! The prices really surprised me as being such a good bargain! Each staff person we encountered was friendly, helpful, and unhurried in their attentiveness to our questions! If we are ever in the area again we are def coming back. My sister scored a pair of pants and a cute top she can wear for work and for a lunch date! Super cute look! My daughter and I saw loads of things we loved and didn't buy because we are over clothed at home and need to do some donating before we buy anything new to us! They loudly promote "inclusivity" and "acceptance of all body types," yet that principle seems to disappear the moment you resemble anyone who has achieved conventional success in this country. I am not surprised ( and frankly am relieved) to hear the business will be closing in the near future. I sincerely hope the remainder of their lives reflect the same level of warmth, courtesy, and professionalism they extend to others. I guess I don't get it. They have a cool online presence, and I appreciate all of the other things that come with this thrift store beyond the actual thrifting. It is on the smaller side and the options are fairly limited. Sure, you might find something that you like, and maybe this place just isn't my cup of tea. Despite really wanting to like WBT, I came away a bit disappointed. Moreover, the knick-knacks they sell are a little expensive, IMO. People were friendly tho. Can't say that enough. The counter clerk was awesome. They told me that the company is awesome to work for. Great variety of well priced merchandise including clothes and general items in the second hand areas and an awesome selection of stickers and pins. This place is simply lovely. The staff is friendly without following you around, but great hype crew when you need it! Tons of options for all sizes, shapes, and aesthetics. And this sounds silly but the clothes smell so good- fresh and clean! Which is awesome for a thrift shop. I got two huge brimming bags and I'll be back for more for sure. Over the weekend I choosed to stop into this thrift. I will guess that because I was wearing patriotic clothes the women made me not feel very welcome. I heard them talking about me and how I was probably a maga person. For a shop that advertised inclusivity they didn't do that with me. How can that be true if you don't practice it at all times. I bought a pair of shoes that were "new without tags" back in November and actually receiving them didn't happen until mid-February. First I was sent the wrong pair of shoes (that were "gently used" and caked in dirt), sent those back to never receive the pair I ordered. I reached out via email a few times and didn't get anywhere, was told at one point they would be shipped that week but nearly a month went by with no shoes showing up. Finally left an (admittedly petty) Instagram comment and suddenly I was helped instantaneously. The shoes never got shipped as promised, so they sent them the next day. I was given store credit, but not any refund on my card. Why would I support this business again when there were multiple instances of them failing me as a customer? When I received these "new" shoes, the leather was completely frayed and damaged (frankly, these were not worth the price). After 5 minutes of wearing them around my house the heel broke on one shoe. I will gladly tell everyone how terrible my experience was. read more

I bought an online mystery bundle, and while I am happy with what I got, it took 5 weeks, two emails and a phone call for it to get sent out. It feels like they are disorganized or under-staffed because it should not take more than a week to pick and pack a mystery bundle. I really want to like them because I like their inclusive mission. I went with a few friends to check it out and we all loved it! Great selection that's a mix of vintage, retro, and good quality current clothing. The owners were super helpful and friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. They size items based on actual measurements which is so helpful when thrifting. I contemplated whether or not to leave this review because I really believe in the mission, but my experience selling my clothes here was pretty awful, and it took over 7 months for me to receive a payout for a batch I dropped off to them. I inquired about it via email a few times, via Instagram message a few times, I called the store and was promised a call back that didn't happen, and I even asked once in person. I either got no response or a canned "if you didn't get an email, it's not ready; check your spam" response, even though they'd posted on Instagram saying that all batches from even months after I'd dropped off had been completed. I finally sent an email threatening to open a case with the Attorney General and someone got back to me. When they looked into it, they found that they'd misplaced my payout slip. I understand that mistakes happen, but having them either not respond or blow me off by telling me to keep checking my email was very frustrating. I ended up receiving $139 for 12 trash bags full of plus size clothing for those curious about the rates. read more

I have been waiting 7 months for an order that I placed in June 2021, it's now Jan 2022. When I ordered I was told it would take 6-8 weeks to receive. I am very disappointed with this companies lack of communication and failure to get me the order in a timely manner. read more
