The bartenders were quick, and the rest of the staff was pretty good too, no real complaints. They did forget to set one of the spots at our table but when it was brought to their attention they immediately got another chair and set up a plate and silverware. The food was just alright. For the horderves weren't really anything I liked, they had some shrimp and some mushrooms. They also had a cheese display and I definitely got down on that, and I liked the horseradish dip they had too. For the main meal I had the chicken caprese. The chicken was cooked good, not overdone at all and plenty moist, but the breading on it was kinda soggy and got lost in the mix a bit. The salad they brought out was good too, I dunno if the itallian dressing was made in house or not but I liked it. I didn't eat the green beans but the twice baked potato wasn't anything too special, seemed like it needed something extra. Speaking of something extra, the tables didn't have any salt or pepper shakers, which definitely would have made things a little better. The cake they had was really good, best I've had in a while, but I saw that it was brought in in a wegmans box, so it wasn't made in house. Overall I'd rate this place a 3.5 out of 5. It was nice inside and I had a fun time but the food could have been a little better. The food was still better than the food I had at a wedding at the double tree a few years back, and the bartender there was lame. For a downtown catering venue this place is a lot better than the Double Tree.

Sadly, had she returned our calls after our event ended, or at any point in the next 48 hours, and had she been willing to discuss the situation and presumable at least apologize, we wouldn't be posting now. Nor would we now be in the process of advising all our friends and colleagues not to use her company. Instead, she showed up unannounced outside our house to pick up the service dishes 2 days later and seemed surprised to run into us. She was rude and unapologetic and made it clear that "you ate all the food so there's nothing I am going to do to compensate you." Wow. Here's the deal. We ordered a couple thousand dollars worth of food for a 3pm semi-formal wedding shower for 32 people. When the delivery of the food was complete at 2:50 pm, we noticed that all of the "hot" items except the chicken were cold. Not lukewarm, cold. The hot artichoke/cheese dip was actually so cold that it was solid. We expressed our concern about the food and were told by the delivery guy that it would come up to temperature in a little while once he lit the small burners. He then left. But not until after he tracked mud into our house and on our off-white area rug!! He clearly had no idea what he was doing and is not qualified for his position. Because of Marijo's poor planning and his incompetence, the guests were not able to eat the meal when we planned it because as we began to serve, they noted that the food was cold. Embarrassed, we had to take everything and put it in the oven for 30 minutes at 400 to bring it up to temperature. Please beware! This woman is not nice and clearly is unwilling to admit a mistake. She doesn't care because she gets paid in cash before the event! (IRS aware??) Not the way to run a small business and not someone we will ever use again.

For me, they are best eaten with limited toppings and no sauce. I'm not a huge fan of their burger sauce but others seem to like it but if you leave the sauce you get the full flavor of the burger and seasoning. I recently had to make a visit with a group to that place where there are nearly half a dozen guys that make burgers and as a test, I tried eating it the same way I'd eat it at here and discovered there was absolutely NO flavor. The best way to find out if a place makes good burgers is to eat it plain with little to nothing on it because if they are covering it all up with add-ons, they don't have a good burger, they just have cooked meat. TKC doesn't need the sauce but it's there if you want it. Better yet, they are reasonably priced and less expensive than any other burger joint in the area. (We are talking GOOD burgers here, not the fast food chains but even then...still probably cheaper.) Second, they have a fantastic hot honey chicken sandwich that has a lot of chicken on it. It is fried perfectly and the hot honey adds just the right touch of sweet and spicy to give it a wonderful flavor. Finally, sides of onion rings and fries are all done perfectly. I think personally the onion rings have the WIN here but either way you can't go wrong. Oh, and they have ice cream! That isn't the highlight for me, but they have a decent selection of flavors and are reasonably priced. My choice is the non-dairy cookie dough and peanut butter (I think I have the flavor right) and it tastes great. This place seems to always be busy and the owner is always cheerful and friendly.
