I commented I didn't even get the ciabatta bread and her comment was that the cook warned her he was out. WTF? My husband wanted to try their ' shortcake' with mixed berries'. By this time there were three people in the restaurant,including us. it took another half hour and we actually were standing to leave when it arrived. What arrived was half frozen mini biscuits that were covered in what looked like blueberry pie filling and whipped cream. No fresh berries and certainly not mixed berries. They must have been out of cherry and strawberry pie filling....

The lunch special offered a main dish or fried chicken, pulled pork or one more option which I forgot and it comes with a wide variety of one side to choose from and automatically comes with corn bread. I chose the mac and cheese side which had a strong cheese taste like cream cheese, and they only had fried chicken available. It was quick to come out and comes in a take out box, but you can sit there. The corn bread had actual corn in it and was sweet and soft and moist in a shape of a cube. The fried chicken was fresh and hot and big with a connected chicken drum to a breast. I also think they have Caribbean food, but it's just mostly Southern black food which is known as Soul food and is very comforting! It was very quiet cause there was only one other customer. I believe it's more busy at night, hence it being a bar. Overall, I was very satisfied and plan to come again!
