I called the company that installed some well equipment when we bought the house on their "24 hour emergency line," which was not answered. They called me back two hours later and told me they could come in a few days and offered no guidance over the phone even though I told them my basement was actively flooding and asked what to do. Meanwhile I'm triaging with buckets and a de-humidifier to keep up with the flow. I called the first place that popped up on Google, which happened to be HydroWells. I explained the situation, and Elba, one of the owners, told me not to worry and they'd have someone out there at 7PM. She and her husband, Javier, the other owner, came actually at 6:45PM, were so kind and lovely and had the issue fixed within a half hour. They also showed me the issue and gave me a bit of an education, which I appreciated. And they didn't gouge me on the price even with the emergency. I won't ever go back to my previous well company. If you're looking for someone to do maintenance or install any equipment, please choose HydroWells. I almost never review companies but wow, I just have to give them the kudos they deserve because I was nearly in tears and they were so kind and responsive, I'm eternally grateful!

You can also see that the company does not respond to negative reviews, because either they cannot justify their actions or simply customer service is not a priority for them - in either case, this is not a company that you want to contract with. I originally called the company to get an estimate to drill a new well - I explained to the owner (Brian) that my well was not producing enough water. He said he will come down to take a look to provide the estimate. Instead of him coming to do an estimate, his techs came and started testing the well. THIS WORK WAS NOT AUTHORIZED as they did not talk to me about what they were going to do or explain any charges before they did the work. I thought, per the owner, they were "taking a look". They charged me $600 to tell me what I already told them to begin with. I knew the well was not producing enough water, I requested an estimate for a new well, not a yield test. After they were done, they gave me an invoice for $6000 and told me to call the owner to sort out the charge. I called the owner (Brian) and asked him why I was charged and he said, and I quote "I will take care of it" which I understood to mean it would be refunded. I was continuing the process of working with this company to drill the new well but the communication and service was so terrible that I was not comfortable spending $40K with a company that did not respond to my calls or messages. Calls and messages would be returned days or weeks later in some cases - and the owner failed to show up to multiple appointments that were made.

As the front line call center they should have some 'basic knowledge ' of the systems and at least forward any technical questions to a tech ! The scheduling department failed me. I wasted Matt's time and my money on an unnecessary service visit. We will be building a new house and Matt gave me fantastic advice so we will consider Carroll Water based on his ability to service the system. He came out and tested my water and gave me a great overview of the process. I worked with Amy and Trinity on my financing and scheduling for Jason to come back out to retest my water and they were great.
