The main issue is that the flowers--Sylva Spray Roses--never bloomed. It's now Saturday, and they are already dying while remaining tightly shut. Please note, water was changed frequently, flower food was added and the stems continued to be cut. When we contacted the shop, they claimed these roses "aren't meant to open." However, after doing some research, these are indeed a garden-style spray rose that is known for a high petal count and a beautiful, ruffled bloom once opened. Even the photos on this shop's own website show them open. Misrepresentation at its finest. If these specific stems were meant to stay closed, that should have been clearly communicated. My boyfriend only agreed to these as a substitute for his original choice, which was discussed over the phone, and he wouldn't have chosen them had he known they would stay as closed buds until they died. I'm not sure anyone would choose to pay hundreds of dollars for flowers that never bloomed. A few other points that made this a poor experience: Lack of Care: The stems weren't cut properly (weren't cut at all), and the bouquet arrived without flower food or any care instructions to help them along. The Card: They managed to misspell a simple message. It was supposed to say "Happy belated birthday." Instead, I got "Happy bealted birthday." Customer Service: When we called to find a solution, the staff was unhelpful. We weren't looking for a fight, just a replacement or a partial refund since the product didn't perform as advertised, but they were unwilling to offer any assistance. Extreme let down. It's a shame because the shop looks great online, but the quality and service just weren't there. I'd recommend looking elsewhere if you want flowers that actually bloom and a team that stands by their work.

In fact, Kate, the co-owner offered to send an actual "Bright and Cheery" bouquet to correct the situation - they clearly knew what they were sending wasn't what was advertised! They also didn't write the correct note that I requested in the card I purchased. And to further confirm this false advertising issue they completely changed the description of the product I purchased. Why change the description if I'm a dumb customer that didn't understand that the "You're the Best" bundle and the "Bright and Cheery" arrangement are completely two different products regardless of the cross reference? No need to remove the reference to the "Bright and Cheery" arrangement, don't you think?
