The BM there is very rude, very patronising, and a big fake. I paid almost seven thousand pounds to them and they did very little work for it and were very undeserving of it..I would of rather given all that money to a deserving charity like Cancer Research UK than to these terrible people! They showed very poor communication, and our email enquiries were unanswered by them, as were their call backs to which they never did! They are a disgrace. They also said they would contact me to discuss my complaint, the regional manager was supposed to phone me but she never did! I didn't even want to give them the one star on here! Zero would of sufficed, but it's automatic one star only on yelp they don't do zeros unfortunately. AVOID Andrews Estate Agents of Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol at all costs!

As you would expect, they make the most of the window display showing the various houses for sale, what makes them different from some of the other estate agents is the service -it is brilliant. We moved from another part of the country and hadn't even visited Bristol and yet firstly by phone chanced upon Andrews. They not only helped us with trying to find us a house, but after discussing our requirements carefully came up with recommendations regarding areas, travel to work and actually even suggested the school that our child now goes to. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

You have to see this guy to believe him and appreciate the ability he has to cut the crap from Estate Agenting, or whatever the hell you call it, and get right to the brass-tacks. If the place he's selling you is a dump that's exactly what he'll call it, but on the other hand his humour, honesty and utterly un-PC approach will have you buying it anyway before you realize what's happening. RB's website has to be experienced - not just visited! Oh no you have to sit down for this one, and make sure you have a drink in your hand, cos you'll need it! You can bet that Ralph had a few before he wrote it too the scamp! Who else on Earth could get away with describing a place as 'Smooth as a bishop's ball-bag' or 'Characterful as a vegetarian's fart'? No-one that's who no-one at all! Another recent sales pitch goes like this: 'Heavily used two bedroom terrace house just off the centre of town. Classically designed and then royally rodgered!' Unbelievable! P.S. Ralph gave me a Ralph Bending Extate Agents pen when I last visited yep you guessed it it revealed a nudie Ralph when you turned it upside down! The guy just isn't right in the head! But he's the only estate agent you can shake hands with and not imagine yourself throwing him through a window!

There was a cottage that looked a little dul and dingy it read Home for Shrek and Fiona A perfect little cave for some newly weds You have to laugh but if i owned that house I would be very worried about Ralp Banding selling it!! There is also a property section in the local paper and the adverts are the same as in the shop window very very honest! I haven't actualy been inside and asked for details on a property but i would like to just to see if they give you a sales talk or just joke around!

Gary Hancock which is the manager in this branch (mermaid quay) is lying to us every time I ask him about all this issues telling us that "on Monday" we'll get this done, is three weeks since "that Monday" and we still waiting. It's a very nice apartment and probably the landlord doesn't even know about this but Taylor's service for me is the worst!

My brother is a first time buyer and saw a house for sale that really sparked his interest. He called Martin & Co and spoke to a woman named JANE. JANE'S attitude was absolutely DISGUSTING! The way she spoke to my brother was totally uncalled for! She questioned his affordability with a degrading attitude and the whole conversation was awful! Because of his interest in the property, he rang back to ask to speak to somebody else (I was on a 3 way call at this point) and AGAIN JANE WAS RUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I rang back myself to ask how I go about making a complaint and spoke to said JANE but she said her name was KAREN (You can't make this up...) I informed KAREN that I will be making a formal complaint and I expressed to her that JANE and her attitude were AWFUL and that isn't the way you speak to somebody who is interested in buying a property... It seemed so odd that KAREN sounded exactly like JANE and that Martin & Co have 2 women in one office that have a DIABOLICAL ATTITUDE... Being a BLACK woman I am VERY passionate within the way I speak when it comes to DISRESPECT! KAREN (JANE) said that I was shouting at her when in fact I wasn't shouting, I was expressing my views on the AWFUL attitude of these women that works in that office. For me, it is VERY evident that KAREN & JANE clearly have a PROBLEM and I will be taking this as FAR as I can take it! What a WEIRD, RUDE, and DISGUSTING experience to have!!! The way you start the day is a CHOICE, and KAREN JANE, JANE KAREN chose RUDENESS!!! CRAZY TIMES we are living in... Martin & Co need to re-train at least 2 of their staff (But in my humble opinion KAREN is DEFINITELY JANE!)

Their tendency to raise their voices and belittle me during our interactions was particularly disturbing. These behaviors are unacceptable in any professional setting. Microaggressions, whether intentional or not, create a hostile and uncomfortable environment. Raising one's voice and belittling customers or clients is not only unprofessional but also harmful to the recipient's dignity and self-worth. I strongly urge the management to address these issues immediately. Staff training on cultural sensitivity, effective communication, and professional behavior is crucial to prevent such incidents in the future. Every individual deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their race or background.

My wife and I have been looking at property in the Penylan / Roath area for quite some time. I stumbled upon this very shopfront - it was closed in the middle of the day with no sign of life - and was taken by the range of exciting and stylish properties for sale displayed in the window. I made a note, went home, found their website and... nothing. Website malfunction - search engine returned error messages only. Okay, tech issues I guessed. I emailed their info@ email address and waited for a response. 11 months later (I kid you not) someone sent me an emailed list of properties in my area, comprising one which crashed when I clicked on the link. Serves me right for expecting professional service because their properties were swish, thought I, convinced I had been duped by a good shopfitter / branding consultant. However, my wife and I happened on a property via another website which said it was a Jeffrey Ross property. Bah, I thought, they're rubbish. However, my wife wasn't party to my own prejudices, so she went in, made and enquiry, booked a viewing, and low and behold, we made an offer after the first visit! House was great, staff were very friendly and helpful, and we thought we were on a winner. Of course, this is a cautionary tale, so no happy endings here. "The vendor," we were informed, "had another, similar offer which they've accepted." Blast. Two days later, "The vendor has had a think about it and has accepted your offer instead." Result! Next day; "the vendor's purchase has fallen through, so they're staying put." Blast and double blast. Next day: "Would you consider upping your offer?" What? None of this made sense to us, especially as when we asked what was going on, it depended on who it was we asked as to which version of the story we got. Stuff these vendors, they must be crazy. Nonetheless, undaunted (or perhaps stupidly) we persisted with the agents, as they had another great house "just on the market today!" Off we trundled. It was a smashing property - just the right size, freshly kitted out, motivated vendors (we were told). Great. Bid made. Agent off to see vendors about their purchase-to-be so promise received to call us in next half hour. Nothing. Slightly nervous phone call made to agent's phone got the voice mail. Nothing. Phone call came in much later - "They really need asking price to put a bid on their own house". Okay, fine, done. From this point on, with us "in the bag" so to speak, the experience got a whole less customer friendly. Of course, an estate agent works in the best interest of his or her client, and purchasers are NOT an estate agents' client - the vendor is. We had some very simple, not unrealistic questions and requests, regarding completion dates, paperwork and fixtures / fittings that we put to the agent. All is well we were assured. Not so the news coming from the conveyancer. No paperwork, no response to letters or faxes, no agreement of dates (to which we were committed and could not move - time booked off, movers arranged etc etc). Our chap was very very worried, especially as it turns out, because he'd had dealings with the firm our vendors were using and they were always late or missing things. When we investigated further, it turned out that the lawyer was none other than one of the agent's sister. Oh, and the agent was a childhood friend of the vendor. Oh, and they had all gone on holiday and wouldn't be back before the exchange date. No, wait, one of them was working on the Olympics. No, wait he was definitely on holiday. No, wait, he couldn't arrange to move because they were buying a new build, and it wasn't to be finished until the next year. But wait, they had family they could move in with. No, wait, they were on holiday again. No, wait, they couldn't move. No wait... All of this came from the agents, plural, as it seemed they were colluding together to make us as confused and angry as possible with contradictory stories. Never had I experienced the levels of perceived mendacity from a team of people who ostensibly were trying to negotiate a transaction. Is this the game I had been warned about and that everyone has to play? Is this "gazumping"? We were furious. The agents were appalling. They made no attempt to apologise, assured us it was our mistake to have considered that the dates were fine despite the fact that they had told us it was so, told us it was our conveyancer who was late with everything, and barely managed to explain the complaints procedure when asked about it. I was off to the property ombudsman with a particularly savage bee in my bonnet. Of course, my wife is wonderful, and stopped me doing something rash. We cooled off, told JR to get stuffed, and went off to someone else, with much happier results. Amusingly, in retrospect, all of the houses we viewed with Jeffrey Ross quickly changed agents...
