Very comfortable accommodations and great location - just a short walk from anywhere you'd want to go in Bristol, and about a mile from the train station and a bit more from the airport, from which you'll likely arrive. The single apartment is £69 per night, and offers a kitchen, a living room with two leather couches and a medium television, a double bedroom with dressers, and a fairly spacious full bathroom. Everything is clean, it's in a safe part of town (though that's not saying much; they're all safe), and everything seems in very new condition. It's actually quite a bit bigger than I expected and more than I needed since I only booked 3 nights.
A few things to keep in mind though. First, maid service is only available once a week, and if you want more than that they'll charge you £20 for each occasion. Personally I prefer no maid service for short visits, so that wasn't an issue for me. The second issue is a bit worse, and that's the wireless internet situation. Wireless internet is not included, and costs £5 per day. That £5 per day will get you unreliable internet that frequently logs you out and only works on one device (if it works at all). Luckily, this is the UK and the 21st century, so there's a much better solution to trying to coax the wifi into working. Just avoid the extra fee, and instead head down to the local 3 Phone store, get a free SIM and a £15 unlimited data plan, stick the SIM into a backup phone, and tether with that - voila, unlimited high speed internet. You'll "only" get 3G, but it's the same speed as US 4G, and fast enough for Netflix, video-conferencing, and anything else you'd need.
Overall despite the internet issues this gets 5/5, for being comfortable, well-furnished, very clean and modern, and rather homey. If you're looking for a weekend rental for a business trip or personal trip to Bristol and about £70 a night is in your lodging budget, this is a much better choice than one of the more well-known chains out there. read more
