James and Mickie are great. Always fast friendly service with attention to detail. Explain everything in advance, very thorough, happy to answer questions, and great follow-up. They were careful not to damage the landscape when tenting. Highly recommend. Will be using them again. read more

These guys go by a variety of names. You have to wonder about that. Sadly, their workmanship leaves much to be desired. Their staff doesn't know much about what they have done, much less what needs to be done. We also had issues with their worker(s) drinking while on the job. The products that they use are first rate but they only go to the 80% point, yet charge you the 100%. We discovered areas that were not completed--hoping that you wouldn't check on their work. read more

5***** kind of place! One of the few you can enjoy while getting the crawlers gone! !!!! Everyone enjoy

James recommended an alternative to tenting the house, but which is the same price as tenting. It involved a "salt solution injection" and some kind of electronic gun. James, the estimator was personable, energetic, and talked a convincing sales story. James and a helper used a ladder and walked around the outside of the house a few hours chalking an "X" where they found sites to treat. They came back a few days later with equipment for the salt treatment and electronic gun, and spent most of a day treating the sites they had marked. A day after that, James stopped by to collect payment: something a little under $5,000. It was the last time I ever saw them, or heard from them. When I went around the outside of the house and found several places they had marked, but had missed treating, plus places they had not discovered so had missed completely, I was alarmed! There were also places with termite evidence I found, where they had not even bothered to look, like a little outdoor unlocked electrical cabinet, and in the garage, so of course these sites never got treated. When I had asked about the inside sites, he had said not to worry, since these places would be accessed from the outside, and the injected salt solution would reach those indoor sites. I called several times to tell them about the marked and undiscovered infested places in the garage and cabinet they had missed, and asked them to return and treat. They also had left a ladder and tarp behind, which they could collect. However, they never return any of my calls, or responded to any of my voicemail messages. They never picked up the ladder. Once they had my money, I was completely ignored. The result is that I still have the termites, which are spreading, and I will eventually have to pay full price a second time to buy the conventional tent treatment. Except now I can't afford that! read more

I have a newly discovered termite infestation and need to deal with it ASAP. I contacted three local pest control companies for advise and estimates. Clifton Pest Control arranged for an inspection for today between 10am - 12pm. This morning at 10:30am or so I got a call from Clifton Pest Control informing me that I shouldn't expect the technician to show up until "closer to 12pm". I waited all afternoon but the Clifton rep never showed up. I haven't received another phone call or communication from anyone at Clifton Pest Control since. The two other companies I contacted showed up on time and provided me with estimates. If this is how Clifton treats potential customers then I would hate to think how they must treat existing customers. There is nothing Clifton can do or say to convince me to trust them again. read more

I am currently in the process of try to buying a house in Camarillo. I originally had the house inspected by Terminix, which overbid the job and tried to say that I needed the house tented. It was tented less than two years ago and James informed that upon repair of the damage if any new infestion was found he would contact the orignal fumigaters and have them honor their three year guarantee. James was very informative and great at explaining the root cause of problems and how other contractors had tried to conceal the problem. I would recommend him to anyone. read more

Another company after a cursory termite inspection informed me it would be $3500 for tenting or $2500 for a high heat treatment to get rid of the termites. A friend recommended Clifton Pest Control. I made an appointment. The inspector did a complete inspection including in the attic crawl space and garage. He showed me the termite areas. Instead of pumping poison into my entire house or employing extreme damaging heat Clifton Pest Control eradicated the termites for less than $1000 and with a two year warranty. Thankfully it was a first generation termite infestation. I will be using them from now on. read more

Update: A day later and Clifton is finally responding to me on my Yelp review. Customers should know that my interactions with Clifton (and Clifton is correct--I have been dealing with them since July 2016-and I have been stood up by their technician and without call backs from their staff) leave me to conclude that it takes a Yelp review to get them to take note of their customers. As for Clifton defending themselves in not calling me back because they thought I was working with another termite company, that is a cop-out. I would have used them had they called me back. Of course I called someone else when I couldn't get them to call me back. Not a great way to build customer satisfaction and loyalty. read more

We purchased our home in May of 2014 and it had been fumigated by Clifton, which included a 3 year warranty. Fast forward to a few months ago when we found new evidence of termites or pests...our home is maintained by Terminex (we used them at our previous home and loved them). Terminex told us to call Clifton and get them to come back. The first time, they barely looked at the area in question- then they finally poured powder down to see if any new material would present itself. Terminex saw the area was disturbed again and did an inspection, wrote a report, and told us to give it to Clifton. WE HAVE CALLED SEVERAL TIMES. We get the run around. They scheduled incorrectly. They forgot to call back. They think they need a different inpsector. My window today for the latest mix up on their part was today from 3-5. It's 5:40 and hhe just showed up. PLEASE CALL SOMEONE ELSE- HAVE ANYONE ELSE SERVICE YOUR HOME. Did I mention that the fumigation cost almost $6000?? And they treat us like this! Save your time and money!! read more

I don't know why the previous review was one star. I give Clifton the highest rating. They came out reviewed our problem and saved us close to $ 9,000 - that is the amount that two other companies quoted us to treat something that James Clifton advised us would not work and gave us other very inexpensive safer and easier options. We will now be on Clifton's yearly inspection service. They are extremely knowledgeable and very patient. read more

James came out and did a through inspection of my home, gave me a quote and I scheduled the work to be done. They were very accommodating regarding my time schedule and got the work done in a timely manner. Later the same day some of the termites broke through one of the bedroom walls after they left and needed to be zapped again. I called the office on Friday at 5:30pm and within 10 mins. got a call back from James the owner. The very next day (Saturday) he had 2 techs at my house to take care of the room and they even touched up the paint for me. This company and it's workers are awesome. read more
