The food was very slow and wrong order The music was way too loud for that size place and the band playing Dilly... something was the worse cover band I've seen in years The lead singer was not bad and actually did good on a few of the songs but he screamed and butchered the rest especially 'Boys of Summer' read more

Cliff's is a perfect neighborhood bar where locals obviously hang out, but also where visitors from points beyond feel warmly welcomed. Decent beers on tap and pretty good snacks made for a pleasant time with family over the holidays. While it's not at all fancy, Cliff's isn't a dive either. Friendly, prompt service from our waitress was also a plus. read more

I stopped in here on a Tuesday night which was bingo night and the place was very busy. Our server was very attentive even though she was running around busy! The place was a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. I would like to return here for future sports games and try some more of the food. The vibes were chill and seems like it could be a good sports spot. Few pool tables to play on as well. I will be coming back here when I'm in a dive bar mood. read more

Yes this is a dive bat but has quite a following that comes here. Saturday night and knowing a member in the band playing that night... had to support my friend. Yes cliffs has live music. And usually pretty good For being a bar they have a pretty good selection on the menu. Not sure how late the kitchen stays open. I ordered 2 hot chick's which was 2 Buffalo chicken sliders with fries. Not bad Not bad at all Service was good. The waitress was definitely on the ball and busy. Yes will be back read more

03/2024 Cliff's Bar & Grill was a fun time for live music & drinks on a Saturday night. It was a decently busy time & while bar seats weren't available when we arrived, we didn't mind sitting at a high top table to enjoy the band. Our server Tori was amazingly sweet & very attentive! Other patrons we interacted with were also very friendly. There are dart boards & pool tables. I would visit Cliff's again. read more

It's seems a lifetime since I visited Cliff's. Today was the day to return. It was my weekly lunch and libations with my bestie! We bellied nip to the bar always our seats of choice. Greeted my a bartender who quickly fulfilled I thirst quenching decision. Now to the menu. It is large and every item sounded appealing. We settled on burgers and tots. So good! I need to keep Cliffs on my radar and visit on a music night as well. See ya soon! read more

Met friends there on a Friday night. We had happy hour than appetizers and the band started at 7:30. The band was excellent played music from our time 70s 80s. Nice crowd and attentive servers. read more

Food could improve alot better and drinks could better too especially they don't serve tea at a sports bar if they claim their selves to be one. Definitely not kid friendly with smoking outside and pool tables hardly available due to a tournament league that happens there more like an adult place! read more

So years ago this place was yucky and smoky and really the only place with live music. Today it's def cleaner not smoky and service was great!!! Had a vodka champagne from the bar and they noticed something was floating in the drink. They got a new bottle of vodka and poured it for me the only downside was it was hot and the champs was flat but could have been worse. We order pulled pork nachos and a burger with whiskey onions and onion rings. The nachos had good flavor and the sauce was good. Def needed more cheese or q cheese sauce but flavor not bad. The burger was decent onion rings frozen and kinda soggy but all in all pretty ok for a dive bar. Our waitress was very sweet and running all over she was busy but didn't forget anything!! Drinks are cheap too so def check it out read more

They have a tremendous, high-quality menu for a neighborhood bar. The food is fresh & there is always a couple of tasty additional specials, not on the menu. There is usually some form of additional entertainment every evening, except Mondays. Completely ignore the closing hours for this venue. Typically, they issue last call between 10:30-11:30 Sunday - Thursday, with the kitchen closing earlier. It all depends on how many patrons are in house and frankly, how moody the closing shift manager on duty happens to be! There are no set, posted hours. It's really at the discretion of whomever is on duty at closing. read more

Cliff's Bar & Grill is a good place to kick back with a drink, maybe in the company of friends and enjoy a nice time out and about. The bartender was friendly and professional and added to the overall positive experience. All in all, I had a good time at Cliff's Bar & Grill. If you are in the area, I would definitely recommend a visit here. read more

Had a party of 12.... We enjoyed this place in the past...we wanted to sit together, they said they couldn't move tables together (?). Time to invest in a new set of tables, to accommodate bigger groups. We resolved this problem by going somewhere else.... We love to drink and eat, you lost out. Hopefully you missed our money. read more

I had a crazy good time here at Cliff's. The drinks and food were both really good and affordable. The service is also very nice and very professional. The ambiance is really good too! 5 stars, definitely. read more

We never been here before but heard they had amazing shepherds pie so we decided to come try it. We walked in and sat down with 10 minutes past by this waitress comes up to us and asked for our ID immediately understandable we showed her our ID. Sadly they just ran out of the shepherds pie. I ended up ordering a hamburger which was kinda pricey and cheesesteak egg roll which were ok, it tasted like a microwave snack but the cheese bites were really good. I think they could have seasoned the hamburger more. It took about 40 minutes for our food to come out and 30 minutes to actually pay. I can't blame this on the waitress she was literally the only waitress there. The inside looked very nice and they DO NOT allow smoking/vaping in the restaurant which is good. It was signs posted. read more

Listen, the first thing you must understand is this is a bar and grill. If you expect top notch dining you should probably go some place else, but if you want a cold beer, burgers, wings, and a waitress that will give you sass, this is the place for you. Stopped in for 80's night and they delivered. Bad was good vocals, bass, and drums; couldn't hear the guitar much at all, even during solos. Had a great time and I was the DD. It was also my cheat night so I had five wings, a cliff hanger burger and fries. Everything we good and hot. Can't complain at all; I got exactly what I expected and was happy that the food was good. Will be back for another band in the future. read more

This is one of the only places in Jacksonville you can get a decent meal. If you are from up north you know what I'm talking about. Typical bar/ burger spot. Jacks drunken burger is amazing, the onion rings are fried perfectly, French dip is tender and full of flavor, and the tots are crispy. Staff has always been super nice and helpful. Only down fall is no mozzarella sticks or gauc for the burger. read more

This is the best bar for you, depending on when you go. The salads are fresh x wings are great and burgers are fresh beef. Friday and Saturday gets packed and somewhat loud, but if that's a problem go on bingo night with the old people. read more

Not smoky anymore so that's good. Decent place for the locals to grab drinks and food.

It's got the classic relaxed dive bar vibe about it. There's pool, darts, live music, industry nights, good bar food, and a solid liquor selection. We just moved to the area and have been a few times now. Marisol has been extremely kind! She remembered us and our drinks. She's a quick and friendly bartender that I look forward to seeing again and trying more food read more

Atmosphere is good staff is nice but the menu is horrible. There is no plant based option available well salad. It's not that difficult to put a portobello, impossible burger, veggie tacos. Very dissatisfied. read more

Huge bar in a strip mall. Decent prices. Friendly bartender. Pretty loud and boisterous, especially on a Thursday trivia night. I was looking forward to trying a Rabbit Hole Bourbon but they were out. I had a Forester instead, and it was either mislabeled or old or something, but it was sickly sweet. I told the bartender I had no problem paying for it, but it was awful and bring me something else please. She was awesome and brought me a Tullamore Dew for free. Place a little loud to meet anyone. Food looked decent. I will be back, especially since it's no smoking. The parking lot is a mess. read more

Food is awesome! Bartenders so nice. Met the owner and his wife as well and they were great. Cleaned the place up nicely

Went last night for the first time and saw a fantastic band called "Distorted Breath", young high energy talent, not normally seen in the North Fl area. Food was delicious and priced okay. Server was the nicest woman I have seen in a long time. Great at her job and attentive. Great night out with friends, we will definitely be back soon! read more

Food is a 1000, service is a 1. Still worth it to come by. Especially after golf. I cheese curds are best thing I've ever had

Honesty upfront: I was only here to drink two beers with a friend. Can't review the food, but...the beer was cold, the server was kind and the bill was cheap. That's 4 stars for sure, right!?!? read more

My dad and my husband and I had lunch there this past Saturday, 01/22/2022, and it was GREAT! Jennifer greeted us as soon as we walked in and suggested a table for us. She came over right away and took our drink order. We decided to try the Soft Bavarian Pretzels with Beer Cheese. Jennifer brought our drinks and then brought the appetizer shortly thereafter. The pretzels were warm and soft and the beer cheese was delicious! Then we went for the entrees: my dad and I ordered the Burger on Whiskey with tots and my husband ordered Jack's Drunk burger with onion rings and cajun ranch. Everything was delicious! Nice and hot and tasty! And Jennifer was AMAZING! Funny and friendly and efficient. The restaurant definitely had a 'local' feel, which we loved! Everybody was friendly and chill. This was our first time -- we will DEFINITELY be back! read more

went to eat here because it said good for kids, however it is for 21 and up only. so not sure about anything else but just a heads up!

This was my first time at Cliff's Bar and Grill. There was a rock band playing which sounded better with each drink. My friend thought it was karaoke night lol. We decided to grab a bite to eat before heading somewhere else. My French dip was very good. And I loved the au jus sauce. But the tater tots were extra greasy which did not impress me. The food took an extra long time to come out of the kitchen and be served even though it wasn't that crowded. The server was very nice. Not sure if I'll be back....maybe. read more

I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon around 1:00 to place a to-go order. A word of warning in case you're not familiar with Cliff's, they allow smoking in there. But for being early afternoon, the place was pretty packed. None of the tables were in use, but basically every seat at the bar was accounted for. I was greeted by a friendly bartender who took my order, and recommended the Cliff's Sauce for my chicken wings. She described it as a smoky bbq sauce, which was pretty accurate. I ran next door to Publix to get a few things, and the wings were ready as soon as I returned. I got home and ate them immediately, happy to enjoy them in a place that wasn't overwhelmed with smoke in the air. They were good wings, but I feel like they're overall the same basic wings you'd get at any dive bar. If you're a smoker, you'll probably love this place, it's got a good neighborhood bar vibe, and the people sitting at the bar were friendly to talk to while I waited for my wings to be boxed up. But I'm not a smoker, so it's not incredibly likely I'll become a regular. I've got a few friends that would probably love it though. read more

Men that wear tank tops are not allowed? I'm a 39 year old man. Today, I was denied service because of my shirt (tank top) Even thought I had jeans and close toe shoes They allow women to wear sleeveless shirts and short shorts. GREAT! No complaints. It's summer time by the way. It's Florida, and it's Cliffs not Capital Grill. Not to mention it's 2019. I want everyone to know you cannot wear a tank top if you are male. But if you IDENTIFY as a woman you can wear a Tank top. Key word IDENTIFY. read more

Loved ambiance, fun and lively. Good music. Had nachos and wings. Both good. Great time!

Fish fingers barely have fish, left out fries, $4.36 to add "side dinner salad", medium burger well done, dry and to dry to swallow. onion rings you pay extra charge for were so limp and watery from grease didn't eat those either! waste of money! Will stick to Jerry's Grill from now on. SO disappointed. Owner ONLY responds to positive comments not complaints so go figure . read more

My husband and I have been wanting to check this place out for a while now-as we live right down the road. We noticed the sign on the door saying no tank tops allowed. I found it odd to see one of the bartenders (an older blonde woman) wearing a completely backless shirt with her bra and back showing. Your customers cannot wear a tank top (the sign did not specify women/men) but your employees can look like that?! Next onto our food: We ordered a beer each and the pretzels with beer cheese. The food came out pretty quickly and the pretzel was amazing. The cheese however was absolutely NOT beer cheese. It looked and tasted like re-heated Velveeta. Last our service: When our food was brought out to us, the man tossed (not a nice gentle toss-a rude almost throw) it onto the bar and immediately walked away. I recommend staying away from this bar as there are WAY better bars in the area to go to! read more

The waitress/bartender was great. Two of four meals were good. (No review of the burger here. It was not talked about.). The Buffalo chicken nachos were inedible (sauce was unlike any Buffalo sauce I have ever had. Very acidic. ). The fish bites were overcooked and poor quality fish. The BBQ pork salad was good and the steak was fantastic.. The onion rings were perfect. Drinks were fine. Between us, we had beer, cider and one cocktail. read more

1st time to come here last night for the debut of Rebel Heart. It's a good place to hangout for a Friday night. They have 2 bars strategically located at the left and right of side of the area. They have enough TVs to watch all sports wherever you're seated. They have a live band and a dance floor. The food did not come as fast as we're expecting it but I'm still giving them 5 because they served one of the best wings I've had in my life. We had a medium Teriyaki and asked them to fry it extra well done. The meat is still tender and juicy, still hot when it reached our table and unlike any other wing place Teriyaki is like mixed to Buffalo sauce so there's heat and a little hint of Asian in every bite. Will definitely come back and will recommend this place to my friends. read more

Let's say you want to sing karaoke and your friends want to play pool. How about there is a game on tonight and another friend feels like chillin at the bar. Well, this place has all of that. I came here for karaoke and their book is really big with songs listed according to artist, which makes it 10 times easier to find music to sing to. =) I want to go back again. I've only been there once, but I'm impressed. read more
