You have an option of adding onions or skipping them. I chose to skip the onions. The pierogis came with a generous amount of sour cream - 3 sides! I was very happy with the presentation. Who can say no to pierogi bucket?! In terms of the taste, I wasn't fully satisfied. Perhaps it's because I'm rating this as someone Eastern European with certain pierogi expectations. To me the dough was very well cooked. The inside (potato) tasted like it came out of a package as dry potato, which was disappointing. Pierogis tasted too bland, not enough salt or flavor. I would be much happier if they contain real potato and would be more flavorful. Still, I hope to stop by at Perla and order more to go orders. I'm especially interested in trying other options. They have Dubai pierogi which seems like such a tasty and viral idea!

I came to Cleveland for pierogies, and gosh darn it, I was going to eat as many as I could. These were the best pierogies I had on my trip, although I ultimately regretted my decision to order them fried. I prefer them boiled and have a feeling I would have enjoyed them even more that way. I wish I had rented an Airbnb instead of staying in a hotel so I could have taken some of the uncooked pierogies home with me. Service was fast and friendly. This is much more of a carryout spot than a sit-down restaurant, but I grabbed one of the few tables. No drinks of any kind. Had I done a little research, I would have known that beforehand. Maybe I was a little too impulsive on this one. And for an unexpected dose of nostalgia, they were using the exact same plates my parents had when I was a kid. I never expected a plate to trigger childhood memories, but there they were.

So i went in sat at the bar and asked the bartender what the best thing to eat was. She said the burgers. So then i asked if they were made fresh or frozen. She said fresh. So i ordered a burger. The burger was just ok. Didn't seem like a fresh made burger. So i had the burger and 1 beer. And asked for the bill. When it came it was $26.00 for a beer and a burger. Way way overpriced for what it was.

As a sour dill pickle lover, I really loved the cucumber-flavor pickles. They are great for the burger -- adds even more flavor without overwhelming like some pickles can. The pickles taste how I imagine they would when only half through pickling process -- a combo of discernible cucumber with a mild dill flavor. Very nice. I was disappointed with the octopus. It was delicious and uber tender, but only one small tentacle -- not enough to share with anyone. My husband and I can share a meatball at most places but this tentacle was too small. The gnocchi that accompanied it could be a dish all its own. The gnocchi with the potato alone would make a great app. or entree. I love a good dive bar, however Never Say Dive is a bit more elevated when it comes to the food choices. I really wanted to try the deviled eggs, but they were out. I believe the server said they were gochujang, though the flavor was a bit different than the gochujang I'm used to. They definitely packed a kick of heat. Overall I enjoyed them. The margarita was just ok. Long story short, I would try it out again

The waitress was friendly and there was a car show outside, which was cool. It didn't take long for our food to be cooked. My fish was hot off the grill, had a wonderful crispy finish, and was cooked to my specification. The salmon was delicious, as were the mashed potatoes it was served on. The asparagus was perfectly cooked and delicious as well. I was craving more. Everyone enjoyed their meals and with great service, we agreed that this could be a place we visit when we're in the area. Great stuff!
