It's down the street a way. Look for the big sign: King Nut/Peterson Nut Retail Store at 30600 Carter Street in Solon, Ohio. It's at the rear of a big warehouse type building. The shop is like a gift shop. It's very nice. Lots of almonds, pistachio and macadamia nuts are packed in different size bags. Same with the sesame sticks. There are a different kinds of snacks, too, and the small airline snack bags. Definitely check out this place. Seasonal candies are available. The ladies working will even make up gift baskets if requested. Join the Monday shopping club for a discount after you spend so much.

VEGAN. GLUTEN FREE. NO ARTIFICAL COLOURS…read more Llamacita Sauces is a local Cleveland business that is inspired by Latin flavours. . I first tried Llamacita Sauces about 3 years ago at a Beauty Boost event where I met the owner. More recently, around summer 2025, I got a small bottle of it when the owner set up a sampling table at 4 Quarters Gym. PRICE - $11 for a 9.1 FL oz / 269 ml size bottle. The price is expensive for a small bottle of sauce. SAUCE FLAVOURS - As of May 2026, per the business website, they have the following flavours: Honey Habanero, Tomato Guajillo, Pineapple Mango, and Avocado Tomatillo Serrano which is currently sold out. Given that the avocado sauce is sold out, it must be their most popular sauce. I've sampled all their flavours and I remember that they tasted fresh. The bottle of sauce that I bought a while ago was the Pineapple Mango which I liked. It's a light sauce that goes pairs perfectly well with fish such as Salmon. Overall, Llamacita sauces are made with fresh ingredients that don't sacrifice on flavour. Although the price is more expensive than traditional sauces, the sauces are healthy and taste good. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 86/250 total reviews in 2026 - 927 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 19 May 2026

This is a Hollywood movie come true!…read more The Sirna's were your typical urban-dwelling family with regular city-type jobs up until a few years ago when they decided to buy a plot of land and move out to the country to start farming. Today, they do a great job encouraging and supporting local farming initiatives while taking their hard-worked goods to weekend markets in Cleveland suburbs like Shaker Heights and South Russell. They also operate their own storefront on their land open during growing season which features their own goods as well as stuff from local farms and wineries (cheese, sausages, canned goods, wines, etc.) - again, supporting the local farmers and businesses. One story I always tell people is on one weekend I was desperate for some dill as I had a bunch of baby cuckes at home ready to be pickled. She ran out of the store and came back from the fields a few minutes later handing me this gigantic bouquet of dill weed for about $2. Now I only needed a few sprigs for the pickles but boy the house smelled great for a week! We participated in their CSA one year - a way of buying a share in the farmers' operation. For an up-front lump sum fee, your share nets you a weekly bag of whatever the crops yield that week. This goes on for several months while crops can be harvested. While you don't usually get a choice of what you'll receive (it's whatever is ripening that week!), every bag has an abundance of food. This is perfect for the family that has flexibility in preparing and eating a variety of vegetables from week to week. We received throughout the growing season (not in just one week) corn, potatoes, tomatoes, green beans, radishes, zucchini, butternut squash, yellow squash, kohlrabi, onions, and much more. On weeks which were light on crops, especially in the beginning, Sirna's substituted freshly-ground peanut butter and local honey. Sirna's also does a Fall festival open house with hay rides for the kids. Located along 44 about 2 miles south of 422, Sirna's is definitely worth your while to stop by here one of your summer/fall weekends and support your local farmers.

Time for a current review - 2023. Somehow I came across this place on the computer and I told…read moremyself I had to eventually get there. Aug. 23rd 2023 I did. And glad I did. Boy is this a throwback to "old time" Cleveland. The Hillson website indicates they moved into this building in the '50's, even though it had been a powerplant type of building from the 1930's. One look at it, and it probably has you asking what was this building was because it does appear quite unique (seems to be more taller and squat). Anyway, their location is off Dearborn St., which is off of W 73rd street, which is between Clark and Dennison. Sounds residential. Yep, it is. For some reason it's located at the end of a residential street in a neighborhood that is greatly deteriorated (so don't think you are pulling into Crocker Park!). Up a couple of stairs and you walk into a very small room (maybe 10X10). On the wall is a list of the nuts, along with their prices. Everything seems to be sold in 1 lb bags. The cashier counter at the end of the room has a bell to summon service and still remains plexiglassed off from the customer Not sure if this is because of the area or not). In fact, I have no idea how they got me my bag of nuts. Maybe they opened up the door and handed it to me. All the basic nuts were covered (yes, pine nuts also) with a variety of options/flavors for peanuts. I picked up a honey roasted peanut along with a Siracha Ranch peanut and some pecans and walnuts for baking. I have tasted the two peanut varieties and am very pleased. They taste fresh, crunchy and tasty. This really is a step back in time. While there may not be too much to see (you could see the production floor through the plexiglass and there are old, yellowed articles on the wall), it is something I highly, highly recommend you visit, especially if you are a fan of nuts! Good products at very reasonable prices.

Anyhow, the reason I wanted to post something is, as excellent as their chevre is, they also produce this semi-soft cheese called blomma which is even better.
