Strawberry pie crust. Really? Not what I was expecting. Not good.
Antonio D. M.

I don't remember if I've ever left only a one star review before. This one star is based on one visit and their strawberry pie only however. I've always wanted to stop here on our way back from Tahoe or Jackson. I doubt if I I'll be returning. It was my dad's birthday so I wanted to stop and get a "fresh pie." We bolted for their cool looking little pastry shop and found mucho pastries and pies for sale. It took more than a minute to get some help because there just wasn't anybody in there to help. When an employee did show up, he tried to push his chicken and rice dish but we just wanted pie. He gave us a sample anyway. It wasn't bad but like I said, I was there for pie. I chose the strawberry. So after singing happy birthday we dug into some homemade chocolate cake and the strawberry pie. It looked no bueno first off. It looked as if it was frozen, thawed, frozen, and thawed again. It had some dark paste looking substance inside, with dark weird colors, and only a funny little hint of a real strawberry smell. I was pretty disappointed and felt ripped off. It was like 20 something dollars. I hope they can rectify their strawberry pies! They're in a great location.

I used to come here a lot when I was headed home from hiking or going out to the hatchery. My son and I would get homemade treats like Jordan almonds or flavored popcorn or, our favorite, a fresh baked pie. I hadn't been here in a few years, so when I drove by the other evening I made a point to stop and I wash shocked to see I had never reviewed this location. I was also surprised to see the state of the shop. It was not at all as I remembered it. The produce didn't look fresh and there was a layer of dust on items in the shop. They obviously have new management as they are now offering Indian food. I was interested to see that at first because I love Indian food, but after we got out and were looking around, I feel like it is actually a detriment to this place. I wanted to look at the pies but everything looked like it had been sitting and the smell of curry was thick. It's hard to get excited for sweetened farm fresh pie when you have a nose full of spice. That really put me off getting a pie. Still, I thought I would go with it so I decided to try some of the new menu instead since it was all I could smell. The menu is extensive and I tried to find someone to make an order but I couldn't find an employee so I ended up leaving. The way this shop is now is a peculiar combination and I am sad that I will probably not every have the urge to stop here again.

Chicken tikka masala and lamb curry pot pies? How unique, not to mention delicious! Everyone was so friendly here. They offered us samples to try and the coffee and chai are also complimentary! Their food here is proudly all made from scratch. We got the two pot pies and they were so flavorful. The puff pastry was flakey and buttery too. We slightly favored the chicken tikka masala over the lamb curry. A bit on the pricy side, but worth it! For a few cents less, they also offer these frozen so you can take and bake. We got a slice of blackberry pie to go that was full of fruit. The price if you use a credit card is marked up a bit more versus paying cash.

Been doing a few Tahoe trips lately to kirkwood and I'm glad we stopped along the way home to pick up some goodies. Their pies are deliciously worth it as advertised on the signs along the road. Something about how buttery the crust is and the flavor of the lamb filling was our favorite. Would go back for that alone, and spoiler we have. They even sell them frozen to go! We met a few staff members and they were great offering recs and samples to their butter chicken. The place is also spacious with good outdoor seating for a break. Definitely love the variety of this market and the many fun snacks, baked goods, drinks and foods they sell. Looking forward to next season for when we can come back and eat their pies again!

Hours 8am- 8 pm Highly recommend! Fantastic food and service. Govind is amazing, will help with all your needs.

We stopped in to Clements Ridge to get a drink for the drive home. They were open Christmas Day! The owner was friendly and nice wanted to know if we needed a restroom break. Snacks, dried fruits, vegetables, fruit pies, pot pies, Indian Cuisine, etc.

My order I thought there were 6 Samosas but only 3 and some rice LOL
Mike M.

Man I trusted those guys knew what the heck they were doing - boy was I wrong - I ordered 3 samosas only no rice - how simple could that be - they handed me my bag (thinking I had my 3 samosas - two containers one had two the other had 1 samosa) and I went to pay. As I was ready to a pay a guy came out and gave me another container samosas saying these are complimentary - I said Ok (so I got 4 now). However the guy that was taking my card open the container and it had two - so I am thinking I have a total of 5 Samosas, but the guy at the counter said one order of Samosas includes two - So Ok I have 6 now right (that is what I paid for) - wrong - I should of checked the bag - instead of having 3 containers of 2 samosas each - they gave me one Samosa and a container of rice WTH!!! (initially) - plus the guy that came out gave me two more Samosas - so now I only have 3 samosas and a container of rice - but the guy rang me up for 3 orders of Samosas. Man am I stupid - always check your bag - you never know what is in it - plus now I am 1 1/2 hours away and stuck with a container of rice - only thing to note I did get my 3 Samosas but paid way more than I should have - Oh well Happy Eating everyone

We realized that some good flour tortillas would really add to the beans and stewed chicken he made earlier in the week. We had it tonight and those tortillas really made the meal. We discovered their tortillas years ago and have been eating them ever since. They remind us of the homemade tortillas. Tortillas factories are hard to find in our area. They also sell tamales. They are ok. We get them when we're hungry and don't have any food at home. They used to be better, then they changed suppliers and they were too much masa and not enough filling. They changed suppliers again and now they are better, just expensive. If you're hungry give them a try. They aren't' too messy and you can eat them in your car. I enjoy a packet of hot sauce with them. My husband prefers them plain, but will put hot sauce on tacos and tostadas. It's pumpkin season now, October 11, 2026 around 6:40pm. With that being said they are overflowing with pumpkins. The large ones are $5.99. What a deal. THey have the sa

I remember buying fruits from there when the CUESA farmers market was at the back of the Hyatt Regency Hotel as it was named back then. You get the drift. Various family members and friends man their booth on Tuesdays and Saturdays at the Ferry Farmers Market in San Francisco with the owners present Saturdays. My preference used to be shopping on Tuesdays to avoid the crowds and hustle bustle tourists. Due to the dwindling selection Tuesdays and a lesser crowd due to the pandemic, Saturdays are not as bad as normal, not to say I like it this way. On the first Saturday in March, I noticed that a few customers buying some flowers and, with Chinese New Year just wrapping up and the Cherry blossom season about to start, I bought a bunch for my family. They turned out to be peach blossoms (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=wdzZ2zYvI1lC-nB5zGEyOQ&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q); my mom and her caregiver immediately recognized them and I, being the naiive one, felt like I just learned how to change a lightbulb. They are a nice addition to our living room with some of the Chinese New Year's plants withering away and my Costco tulip plant already blooming and long gone. With it being March, a tweener time fruits wise, they no longer have a stand on Tuesdays and likely will not be back until April when stone fruits begin to be harvested. Apricots, peaches, nectarines are the probably next to hit the market. And with the warmer weather, the increasing number of vaccinated people, and a general feeling of somewhat normalcy, things are beginning to look a little brighter now. Before you know it, it'll be cherry season. Can't wait!

Did a quick Yelp search, and found Blue Door Bakery and let's just say, I'm glad I did! They bake everything the morning before they open, so everything we got was super hot and fresh. I went with a sourdough loaf, their garden focaccia, and their best selling morning bun. The morning bun was delicious, and I don't even like morning pastries. Great with a coffee. The sourdough bread was as good as the reviews said they were. We made multiple sandwiches at home with them and with their house made vinaigrette (definitely order a side of this), it elevated the at-home sandwiches to another level. The garden focaccia was solid but not my favorite, it did go well with the pasta we made though. I wish they sold their sandwich focaccia bread as a standalone though. I was chatting with some other people in line and they saying how they go for their sandwiches because their vinaigrette and focaccia bread was so good, so definitely plan on ordering a sandwich next time around! If you are in the area and craving some delicious carbs and baked goods, definitely worth checking out.
