We called Black Mountian Automotive and with out hesitation they had a tow truck on the road and got us with in 20 minutes of hanging up. They took us back to the store and repaired our car and sent us on our way. While we were in the store we had the chance to talk to the kind woman behind the counter and met her dog Winn-Dixie! They allowed us to bring our dog inside as well. They stayed open to finish our repair and make sure we were all okay. We also got to buy some earrings that the owners mother made! Everything about our experience with this shop was excellent and I highly recommend calling them if you are ever in a bind.

I agreed to take the post down and was nice enough to give him until June to check it out and fix it, because I was in a treatment center and couldn't drive anyway. Have yet to hear a word from him. I ended up selling my car for $2000 (Blue book was $8500 before they "fixed it"). Tried to hire a lawyer to sue him but I guess it's too hard to prove, which he obviously knows. I don't know much about cars in general and tend to accept what a mechanic tels me. That said, I had some necessary work done by a mechanic at Dolphin automotive the week after hurricane Helene came through. All the other local auto mechanic shops were destroyed or out of service due to lack of electric and water service. I was charged $95 for diagnosis (? I already knew what was wrong with the car) plus $95 for a switch (??) and $95 for labor. My car ran just fine when I drove it into Dolphin's station that day. After the work was done, which by the way, did not involve the engine, the car started missing badly as soon as I drove out. Back at the mechanic, told me a part had been broken and I needed to replace the entire assembly. Denied having broken the part, which I find hard to believe. Why would my car run fine before they worked on it, to not run afterwards? As I stated before, Dolphin mechanics have worked on my car several times and have done an ok job, nothing outstanding. I now suspect they pad their invoices but can't prove anything, just like I can't prove the worker broke my part. However, after this last incident I will no longer patronize the shop and will not recommend them to anyone I know.

Contacted Koppinger next day and they we able to schedule a diagnosic. Results uncovered an intermittent brake sensor. Enough information to feel comfortable driving home.
