This is an old school record store and they invite people to come and set up theie tables outside once a month, that is what brought me and my friend here. So fun! I didn't expect to buy anything today but I bought a rare live double cd and dvd from a vendor outside and two cajun cds from some of my favorite artists inside. I spent less than 15 bucks dor all 3! Easily the best and biggest record shop around. Casey and his staff know their music and it shows. You can spend hours here (trust me, I have) sitting on the floor sitting through box after box. They also have tons of collectibles, t-shirts, CDs, cassettes, even laser discs. Honestly a great way to spend an afternoon. We were in town visiting family and I was excited to see there was a record store right by us. I was blown away by the amount of inventory! I was there for probably a couple hours looking and could've spent more. All the staff I spoke with were super nice, friendly and welcoming. Fantastic record shop. This is not a hipster haven shop that sells coffee, over-priced remastered represses on 180 gram vinyl or books; it's a freaking record store with old records. How old, one might inquire? Well, they have 78's to start, so pretty old, perhaps back to the 1940s. The newest stuff I saw was a ton of 2000's garbo Hip-Hop, but chronologically tucked right in the middle was a crate digger's gold mine. A whole section with a good 1,000 12" singles of all genres from 1977 to the early 1990's. I saw a ton of goodies, most of which I currently already own, but was surprised to see. Stuff like Afrika Bambaataa's "Planet Rock" on the original orange label. There was some younger guy there looking for stuff, but looked lost, so I handed him a stack of must-haves that I dug out, and probably costed him $75. Poor kid lol Here is the amazing part of this shop though. Second Saturday every month for 2016, the owner is allowing other record shops and collectors to come in, set up a table and peddle their most valuable and rarest vinyl--at no cost to them. It was a truly amazing sight to see. There are still a lot of vinyl enthusiasts out there and it put a smile on my face. Lastly, the shop sells turntables, tuners and receivers at reasonable prices too. Best record shop in Pinellas? Maybe so. But definitely the most economic!!! read more

The shop has a "record collector" feel. ALL the staff was helpful and friendly. None of the snob, elitist, bullshit, Everybody was nice and helpful. They buy quality merchandise from people that have kept a good condition mostly. I had one over priced purchase with noise. You couldn't tell unless play graded and nobody is doing that. So, caveat emptor, check the condition and happy digging. I will be back for sure to look for unicorns for my collection. read more

The first time I experienced this store I was overwhelmed by selection! I didn't know where to begin. Every type of recorded material is available: 78s, 45s, LPs. Cassettes, VHS, and DVDs. They also have print media such as sheet music, books, and original concert posters. There is a large selection of concert/band t-shirts. I had a specific band in mind and wanted a 45, LP, and a CD, they had all three! I have been there a few times spending several hours pouring over the selection. I have found some real gems but I have only scratched the surface of what's available. It's like taking every trip you ever made to a record store and rolled them all together into one experience one place. I will be back for more! read more

Very good record selection but there's no price tags... You are going to have a really shocking surprise when they start calculating the selling price at check-out using a Computer and charging on what they found in those crazy Internet prices on Ebay and Discogs. I left all the records on the table after wasting 3 hours of my life looking for records that I could buy in Internet for a better price. I will never come back... read more

This record shop is easy to find and in a great spot close the near major thoroughfare. I was impressed right when I walked in side. Behind the counter are very friendly people. Just ask them what your looking for and they will show you the right area. The place is very organized, the only problem I find is that it's hard to sift through some of the crates because they are close together. Not like that's a bad deal they have so many records here. Some areas have plenty of artist tags while other sections don't. Overall I don't really find any problems here. I was just nitpicking a bit. For it being my first time there I was blown away! I found this store while visiting the Phillies spring training in march. I have been to many used record and cd stores across the country (Austin, Princeton, St. Louis), and this one is my favorite. The selection for cd's was massive in every genre. And I like box sets, which this store had tons. Can't wait to go to spring training next year! read more

This is a great record store. Any type of music you might like they have in abundance. Bananas record store is very good but on hand in the store with depth of albums, this store has them beat by far. It can be overwhelming unless you have patience. They also have CDs, laser discs, and tons of memorabilia. So I loved this store and will go back but I feel there are 2 drawbacks. First is that allot of the vinyl is not priced. So you do not know how much until you get to the checkout and they look it up. I have a tough time w that. The second thing is the bulk of the vinyl is standing up in the walls so u cannot flip but have to try and read edge of the albums or pull them out of the wall which is tight. For me this is very time consuming but I do understand it is probably a space issue for the store. The guy working was very friendly and explained that the records were not priced because they get in so much stock if they took time to price everything they would be doing nothing else. Anyway I would go back and I did buy a few albums and highly recommend this store. read more

They have a wide variety of records and cds; I could spend hours browsing. This is a place where one can find excellent quality classical vinyls at a very reasonable price.
