I attended the Tame Impala Deadbeat listening party. At this event it was advertised that there would be a contest to win one of two signed test pressing of the record. During the listening portion of the event, I saw Jody walk over to a young man with his mother sitting near me and ask him to go outside. Through the window I saw Jody ask him to take out his raffle ticket and show her the number. Which he did. At this point I became very suspicious about what was going on. Why would the employee ask a customer for their thicket number to a raffle outside away from everyone? You can see in my text message to a friend of my concern for what I saw between Jody and man in green shirt outside looking at ticket stub . Upon the conclusion of the listening party they gathered up everyone to pull names out of a bucket to see the winning raffle ticket. **WATCH VIDEO** With my concern, I decided to video record Jody pulling the raffle ticket to make sure everything was legitimate. YOU CAN SEE CLEARLY IN THE VIDEO JODY PALMING THE WINNING TICKET. The young man in the green shirt won the record and quickly left the store before everyone else. Jody instantly stepped outside saying her car windows were down and she had to close them. I went outside and asked the young man and his mother why they rigged the raffle. The mother was adamant she and her son knew nothing about it and it didn't happen. To which I showed them the video and the mother replied she was not aware that happened. The young man simply stated he didn't know why she asked him for his ticket number outside. I then confronted Jody as she walked back into the store. She denied it happened. I made it very clear that I had video proof she committed fraud. She simply told me "okay. That's all I'm willing to say." I asked again for her to just please be honest as it was unfair to the dozen other people that gave up their time to attend this event thinking it was a fair contest. Jody looked at me and stated, "Yes, I did it." All I can say to anyone looking to shop here... if you value honest quality business I would think twice. What Jody did is fraud and subject to theft. With the value of this record being close to $2,000 to rig a raffle is criminal and she should be reported to the police. I'm sorry I have to write this...

I didn't have much time to peruse the store's offerings but I loved the vibe and am looking forward to returning to shop. The website and reviews recommended calling ahead to see if the owner, Patrick, was accepting inventory. I wasn't exactly sure where the store was; so while out, I wanted to drive by and check the store location out. We ended up being there an hour before they opened and saw someone in the store. We were quickly greeted by the owner and he opened the store early for us! It's almost overwhelming the amount of inventory he has available. I didn't bring my stuff to sell, but explained the amount and quality and he suggested to bring it in for him to evaluate. I can't say enough about how sweet Patrick was. So helpful and informative and I quickly caught on to his Irish brogue and we dove into a long conversation about Ireland - where I feel like I should hire him to be my guide next time I visit We ended up buying 2 books and he informed us about a charity type bookstore in St. Pete where we could find books very cheap and gave us coupons for them. While I haven't returned yet to bring my items in (which I don't think will sell given his high standards and quality of his items-while mine are used and abused lol) , I do look forward to going back again. If nothing else, just to interact with Patrick. Both my partner and I found him to be so great! If you read this Patrick, Jason and I will definitely adopt you as family

Well I'm breaking that seal. A record vendor in Fort Myers told me about this when I mentioned I was staying in the Punta Gorda area for a few days. It was only fitting I pay a visit to see what's in store. So the store may not be the biggest but the fact they sell records and CDs will light up the bulbs in your shopaholic/music wandering mind. Also you can request records w/ TJ and he'll make a special order for it so it'll be at the store. Just make sure you pick it up. If not it'll just sit there. But that's how I found The Struts' Everybody Wants album just sitting around so that person's loss is my gain! Doubles as a head-shop in addition to records/CDsDVDs so lighters and other accessories are in inventory if that's your thing. Music is my thing which I'm glad they carry. We loved talking books with the owner/shop keeper and browsing the newer designed editions of favorite classics, like Jane Austen novels or the Harry Potter series. I loved the section on unique positivity and poetry books as well and appreciated the lightweight paperbacks easy for sliding into a carryon bag for my flight home. This made for a lovely stop to add to my poolside reading collection.

I loved that it is not just all books but also some great bookish merchandise, and the owner was friendly, knowledgeable, and had some great recommendations based on what my friend and I had picked up. She even got excited when I handed a book to my friend that I had been recommending for over a year and the owner's enthusiasm about the book was the final decision maker to go ahead and take the plunge.
