Details: Called mid-afternoon on a Tuesday and he picked right up, offered to meet me at my place in Napa but I was heading into Sonoma for some errands so he agreed to meet me at the Friedman's Brothers parking lot (one of my errands). I called the insurance company (Geico) and they sent him a referral number by fax and the same to my email. All on the way over for the appointment. When I got there he was early and professional. He took the numbers and went straight to work. He clearly has been doing this a while because he had all the right tools and was friendly talking about others glass he'd fixed. He did recommend putting some clear tape over any cracks ASAP after you not hive them so no contaminants get in (makes repairs easier without contaminants). I'd done the home repair kits myself and this was clearly a much better, faster, and cleaner repair. His systems includes electronic tools, a variety of resins and chemicals, and a clean car/setup. He showed me the difference between his repair and an old one someone else did and it was night a day if you focus on it (however, my wife hadn't even notice the first repair so only matters on close inspection). I've already referred my mom and friends to him to fix their windshields from rock chips and cracks. Very fast, very good, what a nice guy local to Sonoma (like me).

I was visiting a friend in Sonoma and one of my tires was low on air. I put air in the tire at the…read more76 station down the street from DeWitt's and and hour later I noticed the tire was getting low on air. When I arrived at DeWitt's I went inside and informed the woman in the office I had a tire that I thought had a nail in it. She asked me to leave the keys in the vehicle and someone would take a look. A young man came out and didn't say a word or give me eye contact. He drove into the shop and removed the tire. About 30 minutes later I was told the job was done and it would be $50. I know, inflation and all, but the last time I had a nail removed it was around $20. I didn't think to ask to see what he found in the tire. On all other tire repair occasions I was always shown what was in the tire. As I was leaving, the low tire pressure light was still on. I went back inside and asked the woman one, did they check all the tires to make sure they had the correct tire pressure and two, would they reset the low tire pressure light. I was told they usually check all tires to make sure they have the right air pressure (usually). That I needed to drive the vehicle 20 miles and the light would go off. I drove over 400 miles and the light is still on. I Googled how to reset the light and I need to release air out of each tire in order for the light to go off. Let's think about that. If the tires are inflated to the correct pressure and I need to let air out of each tire to reset the light, wouldn't it be best to do this at a shop where they can over inflate the tires or be able to put the lost air back in the tires? The tire repair may be excellent, but the overall customer service coming out of the shop was very disappointing.
