My husband had gone there when he had a shoulder replacement so I pretty much knew what to expect. Two days before my appt, one of the receptionists called to let me know how to prepare for my MRI: no food four hours before (thank goodness my morning coffee was OK), no metal on my person or clothing, wear loose fitting comfy clothing and try to drink some water about an hour before. I arrived for my appt 20 minutes early and filled out a few forms. My temperature was taken and everyone, including myself, wore masks. My insurance card and driver's license were wiped down with disinfectant before being returned to me. Ah, these times of COVID-19! Shortly, I was given a locker to stow my purse and coat, then taken into the procedure room. The technician, Stephanie, was very nice and explained everything as we went along. I lay on the MRI table and Stephanie got me situated. It was comfortably padded but I asked for an extra pillow to prop my head up a bit more. The entire machine was open all around, no claustrophobic feeling at all. And no pain whatsoever. Headphones are provided but mine only played white noise and I did hear the loudness of the machine (kinda like a percussion drum section but really loud) and I did keep my eyes tightly shut the whole time. I peeked only once and yes, my face was very close to the ceiling of the machine. I had to take deep breathes and hold it a number of times and the drum-like banging of the machine helped me count how long I was holding my breath. I am larger than the average bear and really appreciated Stephanie's kindness and no-judgment manner. I read on their website that they can accommodate a 450 pound person (550 on another write up) and even though I am no where near that large, it eased my anxiety immensely. They will give you a mild sedative if you think you need it but I was just fine. Having medical procedures is never any fun but when the anxiety is eased, it's definitely more tolerable. I highly recommend Open Advanced MRI NW. The only drawback is that your insurance may not cover as much as you'd like. I haven't received a bill yet, so I'm not really sure how much I will have to pay out of pocket, if anything. Now I just have to wait a few days for my results. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I always feel seen and heard visiting this location. I never feel rushed and if anything I feel comfortable and at ease. I've gone in from everything from a cold, to cuts, to all allergic reactions and they're always so quick to help. It's great as well because they have an in-house pharmacy for some prescriptions so it's nice not having to travel to an additional pharmacy to pick things up if you do get prescribed something. I've also done a CT here as well when I was experiencing vertigo and it was the most seamless experience.

Wasn't a concern as we have OON Urgent care coverage via our employer (which I showed to the person checking me in) so we proceeded. What they aren't transparent about is that they don't bill for Urgent Care, they bill it as an office visit. Why didn't the front desk mention they weren't an urgent care clinic?! When you call billing they stone wall you saying they aren't urgent care, they are primary care. No one believes Zoom Care is primary care, it is not how they brand themselves either. Never mind the PDF billing receipts says "Zoom Care Urgent Care" at the top. If you ask to speak to a supervisor, they aren't able to take calls. If you ask to have someone call you, they don't make calls. If you ask how billing issues are typically disputed, they say you call them (i.e. they will stonewall you). Mejla, my billing rep, was ROUGH on the call - very dismissive, interrupted, and was giving an attitude once I expressed the slightest frustration with the situation. Girl, go work for an ethical company, I'm sure you will be happier. Further, the consumer scheduling experience via the website doesn't indicate it's not urgent care, nor does it indicate their billing practices. In an urgent situation you are supposed to schedule and then navigate to another part of their website to read their billing practices.

During the many visits to this place we saw 2 Doctors, 1 PA, and had interaction with someone who was supposed to help with medication financial assistance with the manufacturer. The front desk schedulers are always amazing and helpful. Billing methods are all over the place and inconsistent (e-mail, text, check in for appointment and find you have a balance due you never knew about). The PA she saw at the beginning almost kept her in misery because she couldn't tell when she needed to escalate treatment . Her attempts were not working and she pushed to a 6 month appointment/review while my Mom suffered and kept saying over repeated visits, "this isn't working". We pushed for an appointment with an actual Doctor which yielded the results we needed. One Dr did get my Mom where she needed to be and my Mom is a lot better now, and yet another Dr there recommended meds the first one didn't that made a big difference in pain management. When we needed financial assistance from the manufacturer, I presented the paperwork I got online, mostly filled out, that needed the Dr signature, and was assured their person would take the paperwork - handle it - and was amazing. During that time they did give her sample shots to tide us over. I had already bought one month of prescription and was crossing my fingers for the financial help. After 30 days, not hearing anything from Dermatology Associates, and a $1485.00 balance coming due again (for one month perscription only), I called them to see what was going on. When I got a call back I was told that "I" should have been calling the manufacturer... My response -- No one told me that. Them - Oh well, someone should have. You need to call them and get the application approved, they will want information from you on things like your Moms income. Me - OK, I don't have the application, I gave you everything. Them - Oh someone should have given you a copy. Me- No one gave me a copy! (like geezus people, really!) It was then I found out it took so long because the wrong Dr signed the paperwork the first time. They had to get a signature from another Doctor and re-submit the paperwork. Since my Mom had seen two Doctors for the same prescription, I had put the first Doctor on the paperwork and apparently they needed the second. However, I would have thought they would have checked that. So I asked if they could please e-mail me the application paperwork so I could talk with the manfucturers rep. Them - yes. I later received the email and after over a month of not hearing from the Derm. Assoc., their team member called 3 days later from our call about the application to see if I had done it yet and that I needed to give the manufacturer information and I should have talked to someone. I found this interesting since communication from them was so bad yet they are now on me like - did I do it yet?! I called back to say No I haven't talked to anyone and I didn't know what information they were talking about as I hadn't talked to anyone. They found my call to be very rude and were very upset with me and we ended up having a negative interaction. When I called the manufacturer later that week about the financial assistance application they informed me they couldn't do anything with the application as they did NOT have the perscriptionauthorization from Derm Assoc yet. All that drama and Dermatology Associates didn't even do it right (AGAIN). I asked the manufacturer rep if they could follow up to see if they could get it, they said they would. When I checked back a couple weeks later, still no authorization from Dermatology Associates. At that point it just seemed to me that doing the right thing is not what these people do - or this individual anyway. They can't say Sorry for bad communication and poor execution of their function to get paperwork right and can't appreciate WHY I might be upset and aggravated. I gave up and reached out to Medicare to get on a payment plan. My Mom can't afford this medication and I pay for more than half of her bills, so what is another overpriced medication coming out of my already stretched budget. Thankfully, lots of other dermatology practices out here. We will just move along. Update: My Mom received a termination letter today saying they won't see her as a patient anymore. They stated that in order to share her records with a new medical provider (Federal Health Information Privacy Laws) she needs to sign the enclosed medical documents release authorization form. That they did NOT include. They can't even terminate her properly!

Dr. Cole spent maybe 7 minutes with me. He recommended a brace and sent me to a durable medical equipment (DME) company. I was measured for a custom brace, but the DME company needed updated orders from Dr. Cole to bill my insurance. DME representative started working with an individual at ROC, then the communication went silent. Roughly a month later we learned that the ROC representative resigned and no one monitored her emails. Found a second person to talk to at ROC and they have now gone silent. Finally reached Dr. Cole's MA and he has now gone silent. Original appointment was in June. It's now August and we (me and DME company) still have not received a response from ROC or Dr. Coles office with a response to a very simple question. I still do not have my brace. This is beyond horrible. There are many good orthopedic alternatives.

The tech isn't as warm as the woman I've become used to, but they're fast and efficient. And she explained to me that a large weight loss or gain can impact the density of your breasts and therefore make the image much different than a previous image. She also explained to me that tattoos can affect the images!! So I did learn a lot while I was here. The care was excellent. I didn't have the need to interact with the office at all since I checked in online and did all my things lol so 5/5 not excited to go back but I'll be back next year!

Typically I go to…read moreThe Center for Medical Imaging at Tanasbourne on Fridays ( my day off) and much later in the day. It is ten minutes from my house. My oncologist scheduled me here for my 6 month post chemo CT on a Monday at 7:30. A workday at the crack of dawn. No one checked with me first. So, I started grumpy. My minion picked me up at 6:30 and because of traffic, he was grumpy too. Parking was easy. The place was easy to find on the ground floor to the left of Providence Immediate Care. They had "Finding Dory" playing on a big tv and there was comfy seating. My wait was only long because I had to drink contrast beforehand in two doses over an hour. It was hard to stay cranky for too long. Everyone was really nice, the procedure was smooth. The contrast they made me drink was disgusting as usual ( I don't like the texture, I am a fragile flower) but they have a bowl of peppermints on the counter that really helped. Yay. My results were in My Chart fairly soon after, a clean scan. No sign of cancer. All good. And my minion got me a mocha after. Of course.
