We set up an appointment for just 4 business days after the first message. Two people came in around 11am, were very careful and were done within 30 mins. They were very careful and cleaned up afterwards. The door now looks as good as new! The one small thing I wasn't very happy about was that they were not wearing masks but other than it was a great service and a great cost!

We contacted Smart Shield Windows because they are a veteran-owned and veteran-friendly company,…read morewhich was important to me as a fellow veteran. After working with Bryan and his team, I can honestly say they exceeded every expectation we had. Smart Shield talks about putting customer service, integrity, communication, and quality first, and that is exactly what we experienced. I have never had customer service from a home improvement or service company as good as what we received from Smart Shield. Everything was easy, convenient, timely, and well communicated from the first conversation through installation. We had our front entry door replaced, along with our garage entry door and a new screen/storm door. Bryan took the time to walk us through the different options, helped us get the look we wanted, and worked with the manufacturer when we had specific requests around the front door and trim. Bryan and his team were excellent every step of the way. The installation was professional, the finished work looks great, and the difference in our home was noticeable almost immediately. The house is quieter, the doors seal significantly better, and we can already feel the improvement in keeping the cool air inside and the hot air outside. What impressed me most was how easy they made the entire process. Smart Shield says they focus on customer care and keeping customers informed throughout the project, and they absolutely delivered on that promise. If you are looking for new windows or doors, I highly recommend Smart Shield Windows. They are a veteran-owned company that takes pride in its work, stands behind its products and installation, and provides a level of customer service that is increasingly hard to find. They earned every bit of this five-star review.

I got his name and number from my vet actually so I had to cancel the appointment because water was pouring out of my ceiling which I thought was a roofing issue from my porch. It turned out that it was a heating pipe that split. My daughter told me that the floor upstairs was soaked. I ran upstairs I pulled up the carpet and it was scolding to the touch. There was a lot of steam coming off the floor. I ended up calling the fire company going way over the extreme, but by that point I had already called Dale Rimmer. He ended up getting here as fire company was leaving ( which was 20 minutes ) He did explain on the phone that it was probably just steam coming off the floor. He remained with me at the house until I had somebody able to come out and fix the pipe( the fire company turned off my boiler as it was pouring water into my house). I'm also leaving a review for my Fire company. I've never needed them in all my years living here, but they were downright amazing and the same thing with the police downright amazing. I cannot be thankful enough for my community and the fact that Dale was the voice a reason and calmness in my crazy day.!!!

We also had a new flagstone walkway installed and our deck refurbished. The new siding, gutters and downspouts completed the makeover of our home's exterior. When I called them I was happy to pick up my screens x 12 at $100.00 a piece. Once home we immediately tried to insert our new screens and the size was wrong. I understand mistakes happen. What was Frustrating was there was no mention of 'we are sorry for any inconvenience. Instead, I was asked multiple questions that found myself needing to remind them this was their error. Then I was told I needed to bring the screens back. I had to call back again to request they do not cash my final payment check. So I loaded the screens in my car and 3rd trip back to the store to make a return. No surprise, again there was no apology for the inconvience. Please note I am not asking for an apology for the mistake - WE ALL MAKE THEM. There was no offer to maybe take a few bucks off due to the added burden of multiple calls and trips to thier store. No offer for possible delivering the screens to my home as an added gesture for a mistake made on their end. Nothing. This is simply gross. I wonder if it was my husband returning the screens an apology would have been offered. So much for doing business with a community business. I'm disgusted over this company's ignorance and speaks to much of why people feel angered by ignorance and greed In today's times. I write this to help the next customer - and maybe for Alderfer Glass to consider adding a reminder to employees on customer service. Not one person there uttered the words we are sorry . I did get multiple calls on a quote for a door - funny they can reach out multiple times to try to capture a sale. NM
