Twice in the past year their Telford HQ (they also have branch offices) replaced the windshield in our '12 Jeep Grand Cherokee. They couldn't have been more helpful, especially as this called for factory glass because of embedded wiper sensors that user comments on the Internet point out don't work properly with cheaper aftermarket glass. They ran the gauntlet for us with State Farm, as approval is a huge pain, then did the installation perfectly both times -- exactly like it came from the factory. They also explained installation and manufacturing details, obviously taking great pride in what they do. Safelite is handier, but if you prize having the job done just right, go here. No greenhorns -- the guys I talked to in and out of the shop to seem to have worked most of their lives at Alderfer, and it shows. read more

Alderfer Glass made screens for large jealousies windows. I took old screen for them to measure size. I did not get a phone call to inform me screens were ready to pick up. When I called them I was happy to pick up my screens x 12 at $100.00 a piece. Once home we immediately tried to insert our new screens and the size was wrong. I understand mistakes happen. What was Frustrating was there was no mention of 'we are sorry for any inconvenience. Instead, I was asked multiple questions that found myself needing to remind them this was their error. Then I was told I needed to bring the screens back. I had to call back again to request they do not cash my final payment check. So I loaded the screens in my car and 3rd trip back to the store to make a return. No surprise, again there was no apology for the inconvience. Please note I am not asking for an apology for the mistake - WE ALL MAKE THEM. There was no offer to maybe take a few bucks off due to the added burden of multiple calls and trips to thier store. No offer for possible delivering the screens to my home as an added gesture for a mistake made on their end. Nothing. This is simply gross. I wonder if it was my husband returning the screens an apology would have been offered. So much for doing business with a community business. I'm disgusted over this company's ignorance and speaks to much of why people feel angered by ignorance and greed In today's times. I write this to help the next customer - and maybe for Alderfer Glass to consider adding a reminder to employees on customer service. Not one person there uttered the words we are sorry . I did get multiple calls on a quote for a door - funny they can reach out multiple times to try to capture a sale. NM read more

Do not go here for AutoGlass jobs. I called and setup an app. and the guy told me he does car windows. The problem is he doesn't specialize in car windows so he didn't know how to remove the glass shards from the inside of my door. NOW EVERY TIME I SHUT MY DOOR I HEAR BROKEN GLASS! I went back and asked and he said there was "no way he could reach in the door". Translation: He doesn't own the vacuum necessary to reach in the holes EVERY car door has. And he does not have them becuase this is not an AutoGlass repair shop. Also he didn't even come look at the car when I arrived. "Just leave the key and I'll get to it." I've been asking actual AutoGlass repairmen and this is going to cost hundreds to fix because the window has to now be removed to get to the glass. I paid almost $600 to get this job done and I'll have to pay someone else $200 to finish the job. read more

I had a wonderful experience with a Alderfer glass. They were professional and competent from the first contact. The measurement appointment was scheduled quickly, and it only took a few weeks for installation. Jeff and Ponci did an artisans job installing the chrome and glass. It was meticulously completed. The bathroom was left immaculate. It was a pleasure to have mature, trustworthy professionals in my home. Wonderful company. Highly recommend. read more

Been over 2 months since I ordered my door, I keep calling asking when its coming it, and I keep getting the same answer, "scheduling" will call you when it comes in , as a customer I should not have to call every week to try and get an answer, yet they took my check and cashed it right away. Communication stinks! read more

I needed a large window replaced due to a dumb mistake on my part. I called Alderfer Glass, and they scheduled a guy to come out and give me an estimate in a couple of days. He called ahead of time to confirm, and showed up when he said he would. I received a quote the next day, and I called to confirm and gave them a deposit. They estimated 2-3 weeks to get the window, which was accurate. They called to advise that they were ready to do the job, and 2 days later a crew of 2 very pleasant guys showed up ON TIME to complete the work. They were here less than an hour, and I barely even heard them working. Next thing I knew they were gone, and they didn't leave a trace that they'd even been there. I didn't get another quote, but I feel that the price they charged was fair, and the best part was it was about as hassle-free a process as one could expect. I hope that I don't make any more stupid mistakes, but the first call I'll make will be to Alderfer Glass if I need anything window-related. I love dealing with local, family-owned businesses like this. You will too. read more

They did a great job of installing our shower door which we didn't even know they did. They did have to come back to make one minor fix because water was leaking under the base near a grout line of the tile on the bottom Sill. One thing we didn't like is the younger person that came over had a few comments to say about the style of our bathroom such as very "busy isn't it", "to each thier own" and " sure is different". They didn't say that to us, just overheeard talk. Owner was very nice and I was ready to tell the young kid to step outside if he didn't like our style. We didn't hire them to give us their "Telford PA" interior decorating skills just to put the door in. read more

I got my windshield replaced by Alderfer Glass in Quakertown and got my car back with damage on the hood. You can clearly see it's damage from metal scraping it, not from a tree like they tried to tell me. It's a he said/she said situation so whatever, I'm just thankful I can get it fixed. But I'm very disappointed with the service that I got from them. Moral of the story, take plenty of pictures beforehand anytime you get something repaired. read more

The owner came out for the estimate, on time and ready to assess. I had an estimate within a few hours, best price of 3 estimates, Volpe wanted 7x Alderfer's. I had two windows replaced in guest bedrooms, the previous home owner replaced the window locks inadvertently cracking the glass and the cracks grew over time to the full width of the frame. They sent two guys and Nancy was nice to work with and accommodated our early am need. They did not vacuum up afterwards, no big deal, the price and work quality was excellent. Definitely recommend! read more
