We ultimately decided to expand the project into a full remodel, and even with the additional scope, the updated price remained very reasonable and close to what we had originally expected to spend. Once the project started, everything moved quickly and smoothly through each phase. Communication was timely and responsive, which helped keep the project moving efficiently from start to finish. Tony, the foreman, and his team were extremely detail-oriented and did exceptional work. The craftsmanship really shows in the finished bathroom. Everything looks carefully installed and precise, and the tile work in particular is incredibly clean. We're extremely happy with how the bathroom turned out and with the overall experience, especially for our first major home project. We would use them again for future projects and highly recommend them.

Construction & More... A Remodel Nightmare Our kitchen and…read morebathroom remodel with Construction & More (C&M) was an extremely frustrating experience. We chose C&M because their proposal fit our budget, they committed to a 1-2 month completion timeline in the contract, and their Google reviews gave us confidence in moving forward. Unfortunately, our experience was very different. The project began on April 28, 2026, with an expected completion by the end of June. Our kitchen and bathrooms were not completed until August 15. Here are some of the major issues we encountered: Incorrect permit C&M pulled a permit for what was described as a "like-for-like" remodel, even though the project involved moving closet walls, relocating plumbing fixtures, and adding a new electrical subpanel. We were subsequently required to address the permitting issue, resulting in approximately $1,200 in permit costs and several weeks of delay. Multiple failed plumbing inspections The bathroom plumbing failed two rough inspections due to the same issue: improper horizontal venting. By late July, we were extremely concerned about getting the plumbing corrected. We consulted three independent plumbers, and all three recommended removing the existing installation and starting over. When I raised these concerns with Joseph, the project manager, and explained that correcting the plumbing was estimated to cost approximately $10,000, his response was essentially that I should hire someone else if I didn't trust him. C&M ultimately brought in their plumbing company, which removed all of the existing plumbing and installed it again correctly. We finally passed the plumbing inspection on July 30. Kitchen did not match the agreed-upon design One of our specific design requirements was for the kitchen cabinets to extend to the ceiling. They did not. This was a major disappointment because it was clearly discussed as a "must-have" element of the design. Poor project management and communication The final month was particularly difficult. When we asked for realistic completion dates, Joseph frequently became defensive and frustrated, and we were repeatedly told that various items would be completed "by Friday." Those dates repeatedly came and went. The biggest issue was the lack of clear project management and accountability. We often felt that commitments were being made without a realistic understanding of what remained to be completed. My husband, who is very handy, ultimately spent approximately 10 days working at the house himself to help get it ready for our family members' July 30 move-in. He also needed to be on-site to monitor the work and make sure issues were addressed correctly. I want to be clear that I do not blame the individual crew members, who worked hard and were generally doing their best under difficult circumstances. My concerns are primarily with project management. In particular, I found Joseph to be disengaged and dismissive throughout much of the project. He was not present for any of the inspections and often relied on an assistant to photograph the progress rather than coming to the job site himself to assess the work. After months of delays, rework, failed inspections, and frustration, we finally passed our final inspection on August 26 and can put this experience behind us. To be fair, there were times when C&M worked hard to get the project completed, and we are ultimately pleased with the finished kitchen and bathrooms. However, the process was far more difficult and time-consuming than it should have been. This was our fourth major remodeling project, and by far our most difficult experience. I am sharing our experience because I believe prospective customers deserve to know what happened--not simply how the finished project looks, but what it took to get there. If you are considering Construction & More, I strongly recommend asking detailed questions about permitting, who will perform the plumbing and electrical work, inspection procedures, project management, and how delays and missed completion dates are handled before signing a contract.

My project manager, Elijah was a total professional and also happens to be a real nice human being. His crew is even better (sorry, Eli). They listened and wanted my input. I grew to trust them quickly and started asking for their opinions about various things along the way to help me decide what to do. As stressful at it is to have people in your house everyday making lots of noise for weeks, I'm actually going to miss these guys. I will definitely hire them in future. I already have new projects in mind, and once the money is there, I'll pick up the phone and get to see my new friends again.

What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

We really appreciated how professionally he handled the situation. The quality of his work is excellent--you can't even tell where the repairs were made! He truly treats your home as if it were his own. He also went above and beyond by giving us helpful home maintenance tips that weren't even related to the siding work. Eric the owner is knowledgeable and professional but unfortunately their dedication and attention to us and the quality of their work dramatically declined after a few months. Not just quality of work, but communication, transparency, dedication and more. We had them work on several projects on our house including a couple of bathrooms, stairs and walls which we were mostly happy with although we had to micromanage a lot of their work, shoddy craftsmanship and continually chase after them. But the last major project, a big walk in closet rebuild was where the biggest nightmare came in where they charged us a lot of money and did incredibly low quality work. We hired a structural engineer for them to follow the plans and they agreed to do it but they didn't even come close to following the plans or the outlined contract. How do we know...because ...We had several LEAKS and when we opened up the walls we saw that they cut corners on almost everything including major structural framework. Not only violating the contract but leaving us unsafe. The project manager/foreman was virtually absent during all of this part of the project and frankly I'm not sure if he knew too much about construction and building codes. People they hire are not all that experienced, it seems, so if they are not being watched by a foreman who knows what's going on, they mickey mouse low quality work throughout the project (we saw this with other parts of the other projects we worked with them as well, where we had to continually follow up and micromanage all of their work.) We had to hire several other contractors and inspectors to redo their shabby work which ended up costing us a lot of money, time, and stress. (In their defense, they did attempt to rectify some of the work but it was only after a fight and a fraction of what they were contracted to do). This was disappointing because not only did it cost us a lot of money and unimaginable stress but it felt like a betrayal since we had been working with them for so long and we felt a real connection with them and their team, only to be disrespected and betrayed in the end.

Fast forward 2 years later and we purchased our first house which needed a lot of cosmetic renovations. The crew speaks limited English, and Ruben failed to properly relay instructions. -Constant Rescheduling & Delays: The project was plagued with intentional delays because they were trying to juggle randoms crew members to the job site. They do not have a dedicated crew. To keep the job moving, I had to step in and install my stove hood myself. Quality of Work: -Minimal Supervision & Costly Mistakes: Ruben was only on-site for 30 minutes to an hour a day. The crew made frequent errors, wasted materials, and ultimately cost me an extra $5,000 in materials. Unprofessional Workmanship: -A crew member (Adrian) improperly used self-leveling, causing mortar to seep through walls and doors. -The same worker almost set my kitchen on fire due to incorrect wiring. -A junior crew member (Manuel) threw away new materials, further increasing costs. -My husband and I had to redo the wall texture they applied because it was done so poorly. -The countertop was improperly installed (by Victor), leading to a post-installation crack. The contractor promised to fix it but was a no-show, wasting an entire day of our time. -The dishwasher was incorrectly installed (Ricardo), requiring my husband to take a day off to reinstall it. Material Pricing & Usage: The contractor ordered materials on my behalf, but the pricing changed and was increased without transparency. The crew also took materials I paid for to use on other job sites. Also on two occasions, we had to order more tiles at 3x the cost because all the measurements were incorrect. Other Issues: -The crew trashed and clogged our bathroom toilet. They denied responsibility until I installed a camera--only then did the issue stop. -Never reimbursed or refunded for damages and extra expenses. Final Verdict: Ruben is a nice guy and means well, but his company is not equipped for big jobs (over $10K). If you have a small bathroom tile job, they might be fine, but anything beyond that--find a better contractor. We rushed to finish the project just to be done with them, and in hindsight, we should have hired someone else from the start. Knowing what I now know, I wish I'd known of Arch and hired them directly for my project. I enjoyed everyone on their team who I worked with. They did great work and I really trusted them. My bathroom turned out better than I could have hoped for. It's like I'm staying at a fancy hotel :) I'm not able to comment about their pricing due to my working through Eano, but it's common sense that anytime you've got a middle person, you're going to pay more.
